I knew they will show this story because this is the perfect story that can prove Radha's mahaanta over his wives. I have heard this story before too and in my opinion, just because the wives refused to apply their pairon ki dhuli on Krishna's forehead that doesn't mean their love for Krishna is less and Radha's love for him is more. They were living in Dwapar yuga and in those days they were bound to follow society ke rules too. Radha was just his lover and she was not bound by any kind of society rules hence she easily gave the dust of her feet to Krishna.

I don't know if this story was also true or a folklore but I have always felt the way this story has been narrated to generations after generations in such a way that it will look like Krishna's wives love for him is not true and deep like Radha's love for him. Obviously this show will overexaggerate it and present it like Radha is so so mahaan and only Radha's love has value and no one else's.

Never heard this story. Can you elaborate?

Here are some articles regarding mythos. Don't know whether this will help.

As per the original story Krishna suffers from fever. All the doctors give him different herbs but none work on him. Then he tells Narad that he can get better only if his loved one's dust from her feet is applied on his forehead. Narad goes to all his wives and asks them to give him the dust from their feet but all refuse saying that how can we give the dust of our feet to our husband. Humko paap lagega, humein narak jaana padega etc. Then Narad goes to Vrindavan and asks Radha and the gopis their charanon ki dhuli. They readily accept to give him their dhuli saying that if our dhuli will make Krishna better we will readily give them. Narad takes Radha's and the gopis charanon ki dhuli and applies on Krishna's forehead and the fever finally goes away.

This serial is showing it's own version of the story.

The cvs will definitely show the wives in poor light because they refused to give him dust of their feet and show Radha as the only one who truly loves him . 😆

Radha will not go to heaven for giving her Charan dhuli onto Krishna's head as she was not his wife. There are some limits(howsoever useless) to every symbolic action

It's like saying that a child in his death bed is told by some priest that if he puts sindoor onto some female he will survive and his mother/grandmother denies to volunteer for this ritual and some other girl does, would it mean that mother/grandmother's love for that child was less than that of the other girl

That's anything but symbol of love if you ask me

That's exactly what I mean. I donno if this story was true or not but it was hugely misinterpreted in favor of Radha and the gopis. They were not bound by any societal laws unlike Krishna's wives. If at all one of them would have given their charan dhuli to Krishna someone or the other would have questioned them for doing that. Just because they didn't do this that really doesn't mean their love for their husband is less.

I remember my grandmother had told me this story long back. Krishna was missing Radha and the gopis hence he suffered from fever and their charan dhuli healed him. Krishna's wives charan dhuli may not have healed him.

I think this story is not about love but about devotion. If we think of Krishna as God then giving charandhuli to him may cause going to hell. But the Gopis love Krishna so much that they are ready to go to hell so that his human form does not suffer from fever. They have lost themselves totally in devotion.

This is my interpretation.

That's exactly the message behind this story. In some versions Uddhav went to Vrindavan to get the charan dhuli and in some versions it's Narad. Basically Krishna wanted the world to know the real meaning of devotion and hence through the medium of gopis he taught that. But later on this tale started getting hugely misinterpreted and people tell it in such a way that the wives would come across as insensitive and selfish and this serial also would portray them the same in order to prove Radha's prem ki mahaanta. In those days, women used to treat their husband as bhagwan and obviously no wife will be ever ready to give their charan dhuli to their bhagwan. They were not being insensitive to Krishna's sickness. They were doing their pativrata patni duty in a different way.

This is such a beautiful story of devotion and the cvs will turn it into Radha's mahaan prem tale. 😆

The Ashtabharyas were hugely insulted in the episode for not applying the dust of their feet on Krishna's forehead. Krishna literally called them selfish and their love fake. Rukmini who garnered praises from Radha during the Tuladaan ceremony for showing her true love for him was declared the worst and unworthy wife by the same Radha. Radha told Krishna she doesn't want Rukmini to sit with him in the Ashwamedh yagya hence Krishna called off the yagya. 😆 Narad also didn't give his charan dhuli but his act was forgiven but ashtabharyas act was not forgiven.

We were so right. This is the worst ever humiliation the ashtabharyas got after all the tests they gave to prove their love and pativrata dharam.
