I feel no gal should get a guy like Swastik Krishna in her life who will give her all the importance in his life but won't marry her and would be the reason the gal gets hatred from his family and society.

Whenever I see some of the scenes of the show I always wonder if Swastik Krishna is so desperate to live with Swastik Radha in Dwarka then why doesn't he marry her and give her the position of his wife and queen of the kingdom? At least she won't get hatred and ridicule from his family and the society. What's the point leaving behind his family, his responsibilities as a king and running after Radha all the time? Just get married to her so that she will always be with u. πŸ˜‚

Lastly, I am so fed up of seeing Sumedh in women's clothes. It's like when they don't know what to show they give Sumedh a woman's role to play. 😁 Earlier it used to look funny now it's just boring and repetitive

She is talking about saying that Radha is mentioned in all puranas which is not accurate. The ones she is mentioned in are post Jayadeva.

I'm quite happy to believe in Brahmavaivarta Purana, actually, since it says Radha was Panchali πŸ˜†. Sadly, I'm forced to admit the entire text is fan fiction.

I think you forget to see which was edited comment. She or he forced saying our belief on radha is based on swastika and its lie..So he or she forced only..Panchali is prayed as God too in Shrilanka..She indeed insulted and forced..Just because comment is edited it can't said it's deputed hehein that case all text are fiction only..as well.

Hello, dear friends, the discussion on Radha was started with some inquisitive questions with some wonderful answers. All of a sudden the divine discussions were turned into a bit of argument type.

We are all friends with mutual respect for each other. πŸ€—Arguments never fetch any logical answers. Only discussions will bring agreeable conclusions. Let us respect each other's point of view.

Different regions with varied customs and cultures, religious beliefs and interpretations may differ, but it doesn't mean one side is meaningless and the other side is correct, there is always a via media ... middle path, >>> some knowledge from scriptures, some religious beliefs, some opinions based on visual media's displays, whatever the case may be, but we are free to have our own likes and dislikes.

In between faith and knowledge lies a vast land of limbo. When one believes, or rather suspends disbelief, but still has doubts since all knowledge received to date is indirect and is therefore taken on faith alone β€” that is the state in which most of us find ourselves. We are open to the existence of the Divine, to the presence of hidden realities and truths, but have not yet experienced them for ourselves. That is when we rely on the quality that tradition provides.

Please refrain from arguments, respect other's disagreement, it is only my request.

Whether it is Radha or Rukmini, Draupadi or Subhadra, our devatas are not products of human imagination. They are revealed, as are mantras, to our rishis and acharyas, the great masters who translate and transmit to us the secrets of the supernatural and divine. Through text and tradition, through storytelling and the arts, through the practices of Upasana and deity worship, the devatas manifest within us, for us!

Radha is not specifically mentioned in the Srimad Bhagavatam, but there are some verses that could be viewed as veiled references to her, or the Mahabharata. It is in lesser-known texts like Garga Samhita and Brahmavaivarata Purana that she is described in great detail as the consort of Krishna. Interestingly, there were a few significant references to Radha in early Puranas, such as the Matsya, Linga and Varaha Puranas.

Here is a tentative answer to questions like why Radha was not mentioned in the most authoritative texts we have on Krishna..... Srimad Bhagavatam and the Mahabharata. There could be different reasons. The most metaphorical is that because she is one with Krishna, so completely dissolved into him, such that even marriage with him was not possible, it means, how can one marry one’s own self? that it was redundant and meaningless to speak of her separately. Another is that the relationship between Radha and Krishna is so esoteric and rahasya , which means secretive that it was not to be widely publicized.

The aspect of Krishna’s relationship with Radha is not essential to the worship of Krishna, it could very well be that Krishna was originally worshiped without her. Yet, Radha adds to the essence and ethos of Krishna β€” she completes him!! Once one conceives of Radha-Krishna, there can be no more ideal consort for Krishna than Radha!! Once Radha is there, Krishna is unimaginable without her!

Radha exists only in the context of Krishna. The blessing she bestows upon us is increasing closeness to Krishna. She has no existence independent of him. And that is her unique greatness!! Because she has surrendered everything to him, she has become inseparable from him. Because she has given up everything for him, only she remains with him. Swastik Radha is an ordinary girl from ITV serial, not a divine Goddess or Prem Devatha!

One sure way to solve this issue:

If you're stating your belief, state it is your belief.

If you're going to say it is some text, then citation is absolutely needed.

I edited the answer because it was too long. Let me summarise in 6 sentences maybe you'll get my point then.

1. You believe in Radha _ True, I respect that

2. You Attend/follow Radha Kalyanam_ True, I Respect that.

3. I respect the charachter of Radha as is there in the texts I have read.

4. You say everyone believes Radha _ False

5. You say everyone does Radha Kalyanam_ False

6. You say some text has something as per someone or all temples do Radhakalyanam_ False

Because

1. You are not everyone. There are others who have a different opinion. Please show the same respect to those who disagree with your opinion that you want from them

2. We have free access to the texts that are quoted by you which do not have what you mention as well as visited temples that do not do what you say, so if you have a different version of the actual text show if you say something prove it with proper evidence if we question.

Do not make sweeping generalisations or post random articles from internet and then whine when we say you are wrong with proof.

If you have a right to post on internet, so do I.

I am respectful always with everyone irrespective of the fact whether I agree with their opinion or not.

I am also respectful for people's faith even if they dont match mine.

I will however continue to point out any wrong information about the scriptures I read here and I have a right to do that.

Everybody would like to control somebody. This is a nature of human being. You like to be in control of everything, but who can control the Lord Himself? Not only Srimati Radharani, but also all the saints have had that. Because Radha has awakened within them. Their bhakti is not flickering; their bhakti has no flaw in it. When bhakti has no flaw, then Radha is there. Because in Srimati Radharani there is no flaw towards Krishna. It doesn’t matter how Krishna is, but Her longing for Krishna, Her devotion to Krishna, Her Love for Krishna, that’s the highest. And yet, people try to love. They would like to love like this, but it’s not possible. Why it is not possible? Because you still retain your ideas about what is love. You still want to love the way you want, β€˜I, I, I, my, my, mine’, you know. You still want to control everything...

When the mind becomes single-pointed, there is no diversion, there is no flickering. That mind longs for the aim. And what is that aim? That aim is Bhagavan Himself, Narayana Krishna.

We praise the gopis, for example. Even if they were doing everything, you know, their minds were on Krishna. They were clear. Because Bhagavan didn’t say that you should not have a family life or you should not have your job. Very often spiritual people think like that. No, you should do all your duties, but make Him part in everything that you are doing. And that is Radha. When the mind becomes single-pointed, there is no diversion, there is no flickering. That mind longs for the aim. And what is that aim? That aim is Bhagavan Himself, Narayana Krishna. (You can name Him many names, all are His.) When that aim becomes clear, then Radha says, β€˜Okay, that person deserves more.’ If She awakens inside of you the longing for the Lord, but yet, your mind is still running left, right, how would you handle that? Tell me! Difficult, no? So, when that mind becomes fixed upon the Supreme Lord Himself, Giridhariji, then that bhav, that longing, will awaken. And when that longing awakens, don’t think that that longing will finish. Very often, when people go on the spiritual path at the beginning, they are very excited. People look for enthusiasm and excitement.

Earlier I was listening to Kailashananda talking [during Darshan]. He was saying how his mind was diverted and how he fixed that. But how do you think that happened? Automatically just like that? No! It is he who willingly wanted it. If he didn’t want it, then of course, it would never have happened. And this is the Grace of Srimati Radharani when it awakens.

Aradhana means not only sadhana, not just prayer, but it is with which mood you are doing it; that longing.

Paramahamsa Vishwananda

That’s why in the Shreemad Bhagavatam She is referred to as Aradhana. Aradhana means not only sadhana, not just prayer, but it is with which mood you are doing it; that longing. It’s not just doing it mechanically and finish. There is also that deep longing for Him. That is Radharani’s Grace.

I agree with Hear me Roar's suggestion. Clarify bit more

If it is a belief say so.... Say that it is your own belief, it cannot be everyoneS. You are not everyone

If you say scriptures say that citations needed _ from concerned scripture only, random article from internet not acceptable.

Eg. If you say Bhagvatham then specific quote from bhagvatham not an internet article that says bhagvatham has it.

Most importantly understand the difference between belief and scripture.

Belief has no physical evidence and belief does not need physical evidence,

scripture is physically available for free for people to read

Belief is God and as Gayathri says if we don't like let don't comment..Just don't bully others and it's hurtful and just we need to pray God to give peace...God resides in all of us..That's what we need to c.
