Everyone respect other belief , sentiments and same time if someone like have some reserved belief..hope to not comment on it..As all say..belief is god..HV I am hearing from you.. interesting..But I ll also belief in my homeGod and ancestors left belief.

It's little hurting when some new member comments on questioning our belief.

HearmeRoar sorry dunno your name..Thanks to you on HV..I will tell all these to my family and share it..

See belief and history are two different things. One mustn't mix both. If it's only about belief one might believe in whatever the religion tells, believe that Krishna was an incarnation of Vishnu, believe that Gods came to earth to impregnate Kunti/Madri and hence Karna/Pandavas were born, believe that Duryodhan was born in a pot or that Sanjay gave a live telecast to Dhritrashtra of the war

However if we see it as History we know that none of the above was possible, we therefore read our texts to understand what could have been the truth n come up with that. That's what we generally do here. It's not that we want to hurt the feelings/beliefs of others

And Harivanshpuranam is very much a religious texts. Actually that is the book along with Bhagwatam which tells us the story of Krishna. Mahabharata is the story of Kauravas n Pandavas, we hardly know anything about Krishna from there

My point is upanyas , purana is my statement..grandma or prohith I never said..and coming to tv show..I m educated enough to not believe it is my point

As I said I have Mahabharat so I know

We are here for sharing or knowing something we don't know..Not for advice of what we need to do I said

To be fair, the books we have now have deffo undergone massive interpolations. All what we can do is analysis.

That's the thing we can only analyse but we don't have much information exuding these so these are the highest authentic texts we have. If we deny it's parts as interpolation then anything including the win of Pandavas might be an interpolation

Anyway IIRC the oldest carbon dated manuscript which we found was only till the war, it certainly didn't have Swargarohan or Mausul Parva

Analysis can tell to a large extent likely interpolation. So yeah, some if it can be dismissed. Prologmena to critical edition has detailed BORI methods.

Yes I understood. It's actually Kand. The volumes of Ramayana are called Kandas just as the volumes of Mahabharat are called Parvas.

I didn't know that Sundar Kand is read to pregnant ladies. In our side we generally read Balya Kand to pregnant ladies

I know I was just exaggerating.

Anyhow I think it's high time BORI should start with their project to come up with super critical edition of Mahabharata already 55 years of CE
