I am thinking now should I continue read HV

You should.

You will see how many sacrifices Krishna made for his family and the land and its people. His respectful attitude toward women. There is a reason he came to be called God.

I sincerly don't believe Gita govindam etc which was later written..it may be based on foke lore. But Regarding Shri Radha..Radha kalyan is celebrated as n many places and Rukmini mata too in grand way.

Why I am saying is Ramyanam is the one I sincerly believe which has truely happened which teach us how to live..a life ..Proof is Ayodhya..Same Ramyanam has different context...with Sita Mata..I live near by Srirangam if anyone heard it's in Trichy tamilnadu.in my childhood..Lot of upanyas , Vedas used to heard on sacred livings , puranas.

It's said Mahabharata teach us how to not cheat and how to not behave and treat ppl among our family.

So I see Ramyana and Mahabharata as facts than purana..

I always find Lord krishna is complicated..We can't clearly this is true or not..I just interested to now read HV.. started to read..Rest leave to God..

There is literally no mention/reference of Radha celebration (forget worship) in ancient India this worship got prevalent only in later years.

Coming to books even Ramayana n Mahabharatha were written by humans in fact Mahabharatha was composed by the same person as Harivanshpuranam so their is no rationality in believing in one n not other? Aside Vyas was present at the time of the occurrence of the events. Every scripture in Hinduism is written by humans nothing came from God in that case you will have to deny everything.

If we don't believe in texts then everything might be wrong, maybe war never happened n Kauravas n Pandavas lived like bosom buddies, maybe Duryodhan had won the war. Maybe Krishna was an illusionist, maybe Yudhishtir had kept some hypnosis person in Dwit Sabha under which Duryodhan did all the crimes there. In reality Yudhishtir wanted Draupadi to be humiliated in public because he was jealous for her attraction towards Arjun, heck maybe none of this ever happened and these are all fictional people

We then are open to interpretations and take whatever we want to be true.

I think this might also be the reason why they said one mustn't keep Mahabharatha in home because they doubted that Krishna's n Pandavas ill activities might get known to everyone

I am wavering on this ..

I just want to tell onething.

Everyone respect other belief , sentiments and same time if someone like have some reserved belief..hope to not comment on it..As all say..belief is god..HV I am hearing from you.. interesting..But I ll also belief in my homeGod and ancestors left belief.

It's little hurting when some new member comments on questioning our belief.

HearmeRoar sorry dunno your name..Thanks to you on HV..I will tell all these to my family and share it..

To be fair, the books we have now have deffo undergone massive interpolations. All what we can do is analysis.

And I am happy they settled for Krishna. He is my favourite God, I had a childhood crush on him.

Krishna n Shiva are the ones I admire the most

I don't mean to question your faith. But scholarly interest is something else, no? Look at someone like Bankim Chandra. A practicing Hindu, but at the same time, he studied scriptures with a scholar's eye. He is the one who said Krishna prob had only one wife, and there likely was no polyandry for Panchali.
