Also, surprisingly, there is nothing in any of the texts to contradict Balram's bad behavior.

There are supernatural explanations. But no contradictions.

HV talks about rape of Yamuna, his drinking and foolishness. SB is much the same. Puranas detail the same. MBh actually has him wanting to fight for Kauravas.

@Bold that I don't think is a very much wrong. I mean I know Dury was bad n Pandavas win was necessary but majority fought for their personal benefits.

Unlike what TV shows have, it wasn't Duryodhan who needed Balram but Balram who needed Duryodhan

Kurus were among the most influential people in India. Being in their good books would have strengthened his chances of selection in the crown.

Pandavas were definitely close to Krishna, he would have wanted a win of Kauravas

Books are written by Human so it can't be fully true and they have written based on some incidents their ancestors. Have written. So only God knows is my thought process

I sincerly don't believe Gita govindam etc which was later written..it may be based on foke lore. But Regarding Shri Radha..Radha kalyan is celebrated as n many places and Rukmini mata too in grand way.

Why I am saying is Ramyanam is the one I sincerly believe which has truely happened which teach us how to live..a life ..Proof is Ayodhya..Same Ramyanam has different context...with Sita Mata..I live near by Srirangam if anyone heard it's in Trichy tamilnadu.in my childhood..Lot of upanyas , Vedas used to heard on sacred livings , puranas.

It's said Mahabharata teach us how to not cheat and how to not behave and treat ppl among our family.

So I see Ramyana and Mahabharata as facts than purana..

I always find Lord krishna is complicated..We can't clearly this is true or not..I just interested to now read HV.. started to read..Rest leave to God..

Hindu religion encourages independent thinking and questioning.

As Shiva Purana states only that is true that can stand up to enquiry. That which is false relies on blind belief to sustain itself.

So my advice, read all the scriptures, watch all shows and plays, listen to commentaries of gurus.

Cross check verify question and then form opinions.

Dont we do that when we fall ill. Do we blindly believe the doctor when he gives a medicine. We check cross check take second opinions use google.

Same should be encouraged and followed for our deities too. All of them.

Dont believe sonething to be true just because grandma says so, pandit or guruji says so. TV show says so.

See I m talking about the belief in my place and about books I say..Everyone has their perspective of what to do and what not to do.i sm saying about my little knowledge and sharing what's done in my place ..My belief is diff and your belief is different..instead of advicing and I am not uneducated to hear from someone and before declaring statement hope you understand..did I say I m following tv show or pandit..upanyas is very sacred and before advicing others read ones comment properly and I m saying puranas and it's not pandit.. hurting by these words is not acceptable.

Balram was horrible to Krishna to the end. When Dwaraka was drowning, Krishna went to Balram and spoke. Balram refused to say a word even on his deathbed.

Disheartened, Krishna goes away and is either 1) shot by Jara as per Harivamsa or 2) disappears with Arjuna's help as per Bhagavatham.

I personally want to believe in the second ending rather this interpretation of the second ending. As it is HV is something I haven't read yet. It's next in my line but now that lockdown is over I doubt I will be able to 😣😣

Anyway I think she meant if any punishment to Balram is mentioned like it's for other's. I think it's not. He never gets punished not in this life nor in the afterworld as per the books
