Swastik is a good example of how interpolations happen.

Eg Draupadi's open hair washed with Dusshasan's blood by Bhima. There is no single version of mahabharat text that has either Draupadi leaving her hair open during exile or Bhima washing it with blood. None not a single version. Just not there.

TV serials and plays and grandma have popularised this. Infact my own grandma and mom used to repeat this supersrition that woman should not leave hair open like draupadi.

Actual story in any written version this does not happen at all.

Similarly they have made Radha now a family member and living in partner of Krishna In RK.

Like I read in the comments above most people have not read MB or Harivansh or Vishnu Puran for them TV serials and grandma tales or pandit narrations are primary source of information and they believe what they hear and see on TV to be the true and imagine 10 years down the line what will people say about krishna and radha as life partner living together till death

Actually I would anyday prefer Swastik over BRC. With Swastik people have their reservations they aren't taking everything as it is shown to be completely true, BRC on the other hand is like the ultimate truth for most Indians

Tell them that Karna ordered for Vastraharan or that Gandhari didn't see Duryodhan semi naked to make his body of steel n they will cite you a scene from BRC Mahabharatha

Radha is specifically a mystery for me. After having no mention in any ancient texts how did she become so inseparable with Krishna.

Till date I haven't seen even a single temple of Krishna with Satyabhama or Rukmini (can't even imagine Jamvanti) but Radha is there with him in nearly 90% (I am from north India, we have very few ancient temples)

Panchali didn't make any silly vows. She didn't curse anyone.

Her BRAIDED hair is mentioned twice in epic. Once during Virat and the 2nd during her convo with Krishna before he goes on peace mission.

There is absolutely no mention anywhere of her wanting Dusshasana's blood for shampoo.

All the men around her, including Krishna, made silly vows. Well... Krishna's was mere hyperbole about Himavat falling and stars destroyed.

Panchali was an extremely logical woman. She disavowed destiny nonsense to the point Yudhishtira called her an atheist.

As for Balram... he was decent or passed for decent until he got accepted by Yadavas as a prince. Afterward, he did lots of things, including raping women and colluding with other yadavas to accuse Krishna of robbery and murder.

Afterward, he got whitewashed because how can Krishna's bro be bad?

Only Ganga Yamuna river region have Radha. More specific to UP Delhi UK region. Iskon temples wherever they exist have Radha.

But other than them every single location across India has Rukmini or Rukmini satyabhama.

Maharashtra is always Rukmini, here Krishna is called Vitthala and he has Rukmini by his side at most places including the famous Pandharpur Krishna temple. satyabhama also at few places.

Gujarat is Rukmini satyabhama including the famous Dwarkadheesh temple. Here Jambavati also has a shrine for her apart from devaki

Rajasthan has Rukmini Madhav temples

Down in south in every single state TN Karnataka Andhra Kerala you will not find Radha at all only Rukmini and Satyabhama both on either side.

Jagannath Puri has Balram (Balabhadra) Subhadra and Jagannath Krishna on the main shrine and Krishna with Rukmini on the second shrine and Bhudevi/satyabhama on the third shrine.

Famous Guruvayur temple of Kerala is dedicated to Krishn's balaswarup in the main shrine, the second shrine is married Krishna with Rukmini and Satyabhama.

Ok yes I am from Ganga Yamuna belt and so know most about that part.

It's only Jagganth temple till date which I have visited without Radha n there isn't Rukmini Satyabhama. I want to visit Dwarkadheesh let's see when Krishna ji calls me there.

I think old temples are with Rukmini Satyabhama. Unfortunately the Ganga Yamuna belt of India suffered most due to invasions and we rarely have any old temple. (Devdi Mandir which has now become famous due to Dhoni) is among the oldest ones belonging to approximately 15th century

The newer ones are all fascinated by Radha Krishna story and have only them

If Krishna was only around 15 (not taking the age 11 as mentioned) then Balram would have been around 16. I don't think teens below that age wouldn't do much crimes at least of that strature

The only good thing about him was that he loved his brother dearly and supported him throughout (till Satyabhama marriage ofcourse)

History is filled with such crimes done by mid teen males.

If not the books then what shall we believe? The earlier texts are the most authentic ones
