Political marriage is a different thing that's done for mutual benefits something like arranged marriages but with benefits and is completely willing

But this show had different aspect. The girls or their families begged/blackmailed Him for marriage and he had to marry having to choice left. That does give him a bigger hand to still love the sole love of his life

I am somewhat happy Rukmini is out of this mess
