But since I was advocating for the cvs I thought you may throw that at me.
Actually the basic idea of the cvs is not that bad but the execution is.
I agree. I have been saying this since ages. I don't care how much it resembles the puranas. This is why I loved dharmshetra in epic even though it's based on a fictional backdrop. What matters to me is as an individual story, it doesn't make any sense and lacks consistency. The word 'prem' is used excessively but I seldom feel it when it's supposedly potrayed. Psychopaths are considered mahaan by Gods and Gods are considered as deceiving frauds by psychopaths and neither is ever proven wrong. Screenspace is not shared evenly among the important side characters. Everything has messed up and no charm is left.
Atleast Akrur's character arc had some consistency. It's one of the less problematic tracks imo.
The real Akrur too was not a dhoa tulsipata as far as my thought goes. He balanced both the kans and Krishna sides perfectly and remained in both of their good books. He maintained this later in dwarka as well. He was diplomatic and a true politician with good intentions most of the time but not always. Though for some reason even people opposing each other felt it easy to trust him ( both in kans and satrajit fiasco ).
In this forum, everyone wants to 'uraiya dekhite chhai'. All of us are open and respectful to opinions coming from every angle. And in this case, I can't say for others but I personally agreed you.
