Interestingly, Sangeeta shares her birthday with her mentor and producer Aruna Irani.
However, Irani was absent from the celebrations as she was keeping unwell. Low-key affair
"I don't like lavish celebrations on my birthday. I prefer spending the day with my close friends and parents," said Sangeeta. In fact, when contacted the actress was busy distributing food grains in a flood-affected area in the city.
Sangeeta hadn't yet planned on how to spend the day, but said, "I am not shooting today, just dubbing and stuff. I still have to figure out how to spend the day. But indulging in a shopping spree is definitely not on the list." On-screen birthday
Call it coincidence or a matter of convenience, but at the night of Sangeeta's surprise party, she was shooting for a birthday scene for the show as well. So was the celebration a shocker? "I had a feeling they were up to something," smiled the actress. The show's director Nandita Mehra was seen at the cake cutting ceremony. "Nandita is unwell, it's sweet of her to be here," said Sangeeta. | BLOWIN' IN THE WIND: Sangeeta Ghosh | Bye bye Mumbai
When asked how she planned to spend the evening, Sangeeta said, "It all depends on my mood. I may just take my bag and take off out of the city. Since I am shooting late the next day, I can make it back on time." Nikhil is good fun
Reacting to reports that her co-star Nikhil Arya may soon be replaced on the show, she said, "Nikhil is very well behaved, quite unlike the impression people have of him. He is very much a part of the show, and in fact great fun to work with."
