Now, it's Dollie's turn to have a makeover By: Chaitanya Padukone March 15, 2005
Royal treatment: Karishma Randeva gets set for a new look
It looks like it's the week for makeovers, a la Jassi, on television.
This time, it's Princess Dollie's turn. Actress Karishma Randeva, who plays the title role in Hello Dollie (Star Plus), is ready to compete with Jassie's glamorous makeover on rival channel Sony.
"It's a strange coincidence, I guess. My character will have a major makeover in hairstyle — no permed look anymore — wearing rich, royal outfits.
And to match my glam looks, I will be sporting a tiara when I settle into my palace and the kingdom of Suryavan next week onwards," gushes Randeva, who has discreetly walked out of Tumhari Disha where she played the character of Rano.
"It was impossible to for me to manage the shooting dates of both the serials, so I decided to drop out of Disha. Dollie is an author-backed role," explains the actress.
Now that her romantic track with "commoner" lover boy Nikshay (Mayank Anand) has ended with a nasty tiff, was romance some sort of taboo for her in the palace?
With a naughty glint in her eyes, she reveals, "In later episodes, they will introduce a new actor to play a Prince who will woo me royally!"
