No time for workouts? Nikhil Arya caught between shoots at Madh island

Nikhil Arya, who plays Rudra in Kesar and Vivaan in Rabba Ishq Na Hove, stays busy from sunup to sundown. But one thing he hates to fiddle with is his health system.

Here we have Nikhil Arya in conversation with Riya V. Anandwala, revealing how finicky he is when it comes to health!

What is more important for you, to look good or to feel good?
Definitely to feel good, 'cos if you don't feel good, you don't look good. Firstly, to be in shape and again, I have a tendency to put on weight.

What do you do to keep fit?
Well, I do everything possible. But time doesn't really permit me to. I work out and play some sport....

What is your medium of exercising?
Gym and sports.

As my shooting schedules are never fixed, I don't go to any gym. But I have a personal trainer who comes home and makes me work out.

Do you do more of cardio or weight training?
I do both, I need to balance out.

What' most important to you, breakfast, lunch or dinner?
For me, breakfast is an extremely important meal in a day.

What does your breakfast comprise of?
It has to be really heavy. Sometimes, I binge on muesli while sometimes I have parathas with a wee bit of olive oil. A fruit in a day is a must.
Having a maharaj who cooks for me and doesn't let me miss my home cooked food is bliss!
He packs my daily lunch. Dinner is usually something light.

What's your height and weight?
I stand at 5.10" and my weight keeps varying from 77 to 85 kgs!

How do rigorous shooting schedules affect your health?
The most important factor is sleep, and as I am shooting for two serials currently, I miss my beauty sleep at times!

Even when it comes to my diet, the packed food from home is sometimes not enough. Then I tend to order stuff from Subway or anything of that sort which warps my fitness regime.

And last but not the least are the four cups of tea, which keep me going every day of my shoot.

Do you gorge on any health drink?
A litre of water in a day is a must. Other than that, at least two glasses of coconut water is very necessary for me. I do splurge on protein shakes while working out.

Are you into any kind of yoga or meditation?
This is the sad part, I just don't get time for meditation or Art of Living, which I would love to practise.
