If Varun Badola makes it to the finals of Nach Baliye, chances are the actor might opt out of Zee's Rabba Ishq Na Hove.
Doing three shows — Astitva Ek Prem Kahaani, Rabba Ishq Na Hove and Nach Baliye — has taken a toll on the actor, and sources close to the channel indicate the actor has expressed a desire to be eased out of Rabba. Irani spoke to actor
Confirming this development, director of the show, Nandita Mehra says, "Yes, I have heard talk about Varun wanting to leave my show. In fact, Arunaji (Irani) is also aware of this development and spoke to Varun about it. However, when he was asked if he wanted to quit Rabba, he denied making such statements."
Is the actor playing safe and waiting for the right time to pull the rug from under the show? "I understand that he is doing three shows at the moment, and Nach Baliye is his number one priority. But I can assure you that I have personally managed his schedule, making it easy for him to rehearse for Nach Baliye. In fact, I have even reduced the number of dates he shoots with us." Goa shoot cancelled
She adds that the production house has gone to the extent of cancelling a Goa schedule, where a honeymoon scene was to be shot. "For the sake of his rehearsals, we cancelled the entire Goa schedule, and had to resort to cheat-shooting in Mumbai. From our end, we have given him no reason for complaint." Nach Baliye will decide
Mehra says if Varun makes a statement indicating he wants to opt out, she will have to take a stand. "Till now, he hasn't spoken to me or Arunaji, directly. But I know he is talking to others. I think he is waiting for his Nach Baliye results – if he is out of the race, what will he do?"
