Happy ending for Rab Se Sohna Isshq; actors talk about their journey
ay Productions, maker of Zee TV's show, Rab Se Sohna Isshq (RSSI), put in a lot of money, effort and marketing ploys to drive the project. However, it never managed to put the TRP chart on fire.
Well, all that doesn't matter now as the soap is all set to air its last episode tonight (14 June 2013), paving way for Balaji Telefilms' Jodha Akbar at the 8pm slot.
So will the show end on a happy or sad note? Tellychakkar.com talked to the show's lead actors to learn about it. In the process, they also shared about their journey and experiences shooting for Rab Se till date.
Said Kanan Malhotra aka Daljeet: "It was good but I quit the project after it opted for a 16 year leap. Now that I am out, I am not aware of the ending, but I am sure it is going to be a happy one."
Next, we had a chat with ravishing Ekta Kaul aka Sahiba. With a very sweet smile, she averred, "Please watch the last episode to know the end."
Furthermore, Ashish Sharma, better known as Ranveer said, "Everybody will get what they had asked for at the end of the show. So yes, it will be happy ending."
Well, happy ending it is, but are these actors contended with the journey of RSSI?
"It was a wonderful experience working for RSSI as we had a beautiful team and good producers. And we shot for a long period, almost 105 days, in the exotic locales of London," observed a happy Kanan. He is also looking forward to a month-long vacation now, as he quipped, "I have worked continuously for four years. I definitely deserve a break."
Said an overwhelmed Ekta (who is also swaying her hips in Colors' Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6), "The experience was good; I would always be thankful for the platform that it gave me. The journey from Mumbai to Punjab, then London and back to Mumbai will always be memorable. But I do feel sad that it's coming to an end."
Lastly, Ashish went on to add, "It was an enriching journey as I got to play three different shades. I was also fortunate to have worked with such a wonderful team which welcomed all my weird ideas. Now, I am looking for a new horizon to explore."
We are sure fans will miss Rab Se…!!!
