As pinkeye made a beautiful thread about Preet, Ishaan's life also made me shiver today. Rizwan Ahmed Khan brought in a training camp at the age of 6 where he learnt nothing else but hating the neighboring country for killing his parents.
4 years back he is sent as a spy to a family, as Atif said, the soulless heartless Ishaan found a heartbeat. That alone child needed love to fill his voids, he didn't need a target to hate and destroy, he needed a relation to trust, and that is what the Hooda family did, and then to complete any deprived feeling was Preet.
Although in a deep conflict, he did still knew what he was here for, but today's episode revealed that his entire life has been a lie. ENTIRE LIFE. Right from the truth of his parents death to every other emotion instigated in his heart was a lie. The people he is fighting his basic nature for consider him as a bull working for them. Nothing else.
But Rizwan is not a weak man, he can grab by the collar and demand answers. Atif was right about him, he can rebel and he has, he has questioned about every single thing and wont pursue until he knows the answers. He has realized that his mission has been the sole reason for the destruction of the woman he loves. His Wife. The shiver of his hands fearing what will happen if the truth comes out - that is an indication that what he is doing is wrong.
Rizwan's shattered life gives u a clench of heart. He beats his chest shouting that he knows what happens when somebody kills your family in front of you. He looks at the love of his life and lowers his eyes because he cannot confess even to himself. He runs around with an empty slogan of revenge, when the truest nature of his existence is forgiveness.
Having said about Rizwaan, what should i now say about Iqbal - this person excels in every single shade he is asked to portray, whether its in the scene where he scolds Preet for going to the police station like an authoritative husband or trying to control the shiver of his hands like a guilty partner. Brilliant. Absolute Brilliance.
