Have Indraneil and Barkha split?
Apparently actors Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht are no more a couple. The love that blossomed on the sets of Pyar Ke Do Naam Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam has been like a flash in the pan. Although Indraneil and Barkha could not look eye to eye initially, soon became more than close friends. "Our different personalities clash all the time," they'd said in an interview with Mumbai Mirror last year.
According to the unit members of the show, the love birds were inseparable at one time. After ending her three-year old relationship with boyfriend-actor Karan Singh, Barkha leaned on Indraneil's shoulder for emotional support. Soon, the on-screen couple realised that they were in love and began dating officially. In fact, Barkha had thrown a surprise birthday party for the new man in her life too.
Everything was hunky dory till their show Pyar Ke… came to an end. The buzz is that with the show, their liaison has ended too. "Indraneil was a very special friend," admits Barkha. The actress says that it's been a while since she has heard from him. "I'm busy shooting for Popkorn and Aroona Irani's Doli Saja Ke. My tight schedule barely allows me to speak to my family. Indraneil is busy with his own life. We've not had the time to keep in touch. I haven't seen or spoken with him after the show wound up. Beyond that I wouldn't like to say anything," she says.
When contacted, Indraneil had a completely different story to tell. He said, "I never admitted to my so-called relationship with Barkha. She was an acquaintance and we get on well. And she is still a friend and we keep in touch on the phone. Sometimes we go out for dinners and parties with our friends." Meanwhile, Barkha seems to have got her act together and moved on in life. She says, "Thanks to my work, I'm in control of myself." The actress is looking forward to Doli Saja Ke on Sahara One where she is playing the lead character opposite Amit Sareen. "Working with Aroonaji is an honour. She is a fantastic director and I'm sure to learn a lot from her."
