Babul on it's way on TV | ||||
After launching a slew of shows like Solhah Singaarr and Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye, Sahara One is now gearing up with Aroona Irani's new show, Babul. This
one hour daily will be produced by Ashok Gaikwad (of Prratima fame). "I play this nice, sweet and adorable guy, somewhat on the lines of Rajesh Khanna's character in yesteryear's film Andaz. I bring about changes in the protagonist, Arpan's (Barkha Bisht) life. She is the neglected girl who is considered ashubh by her family. I mistake her to be a maid until I realize that she is in fact the daughter of the house. My character is instrumental in making Arpan realize her importance in the family and in bringing her close to them. Eventually we come close," elaborates Amit Sareen who is also seen in Sony's Rishton Ki Dorr these days.
Barkha Bisht who plays the lead opposite Amit Sareen says, " I play this sweet, simple and lovable girl called Arpan. She is a a regular, girl next door, who has a caring attitude towards everyone around her. I can't reveal much, but it's an emotional drama." A visibly excited Arzoo Govitrikar who plays a negative character yet again after Ek Ladki Anjani Si points out, "I play Apran's norotious sister-in-law. It's a negative character and she's responsible for creating all the havoc in the family. I will don a very vampish look in this show though not much has been discussed yet."
According to our sources Aroona Irani will play the natkhat grandmother of the house while Mohnish Behl essays Barkha's father. And what's more interesting is that his real wife Aarti Behl plays his on screen wife too, but for for a few episodes as her character dies eventually. The actors commence shooting from November first week while the show is expected to hit the tube by the end of November. |
