Barkha Bisht took on the mighty Ekta Kapoor when she walked out of a Balaji serial to star in Pyar Ke Do Naam – Ek Radha, Ek Shyam. Unfortunately the show is now coming to an end. So what is she going to do now? Here's what Barkha has to say about her career, alleged link up with her co-star and more.

Now that your big project is ending, what are you going to do?
I haven't set my sights on anything as yet. I do hope to sign another big show soon. But nothing has been finalised. But most importantly, I want to go back home to Dehradun for 10-15 days and be pampered silly by my parents. I have been working non-stop for the last nine months. So I need to chill out and do nothing for sometime.

How was it working on Pyar Ke do Naam…..?
From day one, it was really nice. I enjoyed playing different characters in all the janams. I absolutely loved my look. I have liked all the characters. It was a huge family. It was great to work with experienced actors like Mukeshji who played my grandpa. The people were really sweet and warm. It was like a family. Though it was very hectic, it was a pleasant experience altogether.

It looks like you are going to miss them quite a bit.
Oh yes, definitely. I was very close to my on screen mum Natasha Sinha. It was great with Surbhi, who played Indraneil's bhabi. I was pally with Vishal who played my brother since I knew him since my Balaji days. Tarun Khanna was very funny. He used to make us laugh so much with his jokes. I am going to miss all that.

You also got a chance to display your dancing skills.
Especially in this janam I danced quite a bit. I was happy about shooting the dance portions. We danced to Rajshri's hit songs. It was great as I was either singing or dancing.

You have been linked up with your co-stars, first Karan Singh and then Indraneil. A lot has been talked about your affairs. How are you handling all the talk?
I, of course, am handling all that in an okay manner. But more than me it's my family that gets affected by such gossip. Nobody from my family has been in the industry before me. They keep hearing about all this and get disturbed. It's hard on them but I try not to get stressed out. I guess it's a part and parcel of being a TV personality. Your personal life tends to be intruded upon. I am learning to handle that well.

What about plans to work with the Rajshris in the future?
If I do a movie too, it's going to be great if it's with the Rajshris. It's become home to me. I would love to do more shows with them.

What about getting back with Balaji? There were apparently problems between you and them.
It's okay now. I would love to work with Balaji too, if something is worth it.

What about modelling? You were a model before you started acting.
Yes, I had participated in the Gladrags Mega model contest in 2000. I was in college then and had won the title of Ms Body Beautiful. In Pune, while I was a student, I had done ramp shows and a few shoots. But I never really pursued modelling in Mumbai. I have always preferred acting.
