Ek Radha Ek Shyaam UK Episode Update-8th May 2006:

1st Episode:

The episode starts off with a voice talking about stars and destiny.
Shyam and Radha are introduced. They show Shyam as a typical youngster-out partying late and sleeping till late. Then they show Radha as a traditional indian girl, waking up at dawn, praying, being an ardarsh beti lolz. She sings Govind Radhe, Gopal Radhe.

Shyam then goes to college and flirts with a girl. He says that they have janam janam rishta..a relationship from previous lives but she doesn't buy it. He keeps on persisting and all her friends come and start waving their chapals in his face, threatening to hit him! He saves himself by calling her his sister and pretending he wants her to tie a rakhi on him. Him and his friend Adi are talking and Shyam jokingly says 'I wish I find a girl who raises her hand on Shyam.'

Meanwhile somewhere else, Radha is slapping a boy for calling her beautiful. Her friend, Tanu tells her that she has slapped 100 boys and they walk off. The camera splits and we can see two pictures on either side, one with Shyam getting scared of the girls who threatened to beat him and the other of Radha slapping the boy!

A song is played and shows the contrast between each character. Shyam, the fun loving typical youth-always partying and flirting with girls! And Radha, as I said before, the ardarsh beti/bahu. She is cooking traditionally, studying etc.

In an office, Shyam is pretending to work, and his father is looking at him with pride. He tells his collegue that his son is so dedicated and hardworking-he says he'll make him proud. But Shyam is really looking at pictures of beautiful girls on his computer and smiling to himself as he knows what is father is thinking.

Radha and her sister are talking. She is going to Medical Camp to train to be a doctor. She explains that her mother died of an illness and that it had a big impact on her life. She knows how much her and her family went through and that has motivated her to become a doctor so she can save lives and prevent other families from going through the trauma that they went through. She

also says that she wants to make her father proud. Her father comes and they all hug.

Shyam and Adi (his friend) are in a party and Adi looks worried. When Shyam asks whats wrong, Adi tells him that his parents want him to marry and that he has to go to a village to see a girl called Mahalaxmi. Shyam laughs and teases him about it but Adi forces Shyam to go along.

Shyam and Adi take a cab to the train station and Shyam leaves his phone there by acident. They get out and he's like, omg I forgot my phone in the cab. Then Radha and Tanu sit in the cab and find the phone. Radha takes it with her to the train station to give it to security so whoever lost it can come and claim it. Shyam uses Adi's phone to ring his mobile to see who found it, Radha answers. She asks him if hes still in the train station, Shyam says yes. She says that she's sitting in the train because it is about to leave so come quickly and collect it. They hang up and Shyam gets excited sayiing the voice is very beautiful etc.

Radha tells her friend she is going to get some books and to give the phone to the boy who will come and get it. As she leaves the trains, nice religious music comes on and Shyam and Radha pass eachother, not noticing. I was kinda hoping they would lolz.

Shyam goes in the train and sees Tanu. He smiles and starts his usual flirtasious tricks, janam janam ka rishta etc. Tanu doesnt buy it and he continues. An old man sitting behind or in front of her, i cant remember lolz says quite funnily, Main tumhe apna agla janam mein bejdo kya? Shyam gets embarrassed and leaves.

As he is walking, Radha is also walking towards him, again not noticing because her head is buried in the book she bought. Suddenly they look up and their eyes meet. The background blurs, highlighting just them two, with that nice religious music that I like. END.
