Actor Barkha Bisht is in trouble. Balaji has slapped a legal notice on her for walking out of 'Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka'. Producer Nivedita Basu confirms this, "She has walked out of the show and there is a legal case pending."
However, Barkha says that she had informed Balaji. "I did give them a month's notice which they asked for. I walked out of the show because I got a better offer from Star Plus."
Barkha is playing Radha in Rajshri Productions' 'Pyar Ke Do Naam - Ek Radha, Ek Shyam'. "Had I got the lead role in 'Nimmo…' I would have stayed back," she adds.
Sandip Singh Sidhu, legal head of Balaji informs, "Barkha was working for three shows with Balaji and had signed the legal contract. According to it she needs to inform Balaji if she is doing shows for other channels. Moreover, she needs to keep her commitments with us."
Also according to the contract, an actor needs to shoot with Balaji for at least 20 days a month. The rest of the dates can be given to other channels.
Barkha was launched by Balaji for MTV's 'Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi'. She was also doing 'Kavvyanjali' and 'Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai'. Sources close to Balaji say that Barkha is apparently getting more money for 'Ek Radha…'
The actor says she is not perturbed by the case and has "hired lawyers" to deal with it. Balaji sources say that the court is convinced that Barkha has not adhered to the contract. "Let this be an example to all actors. You should be honest to your commitments," signs off Sandip.
