This is my fiction, My imagination. So please don't copy it and post it somewhere else without My Permission.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey Friends,,

I am back with another chapter of "Devil's Vengeance". I am late with the update because I had to think from all angels as I had to show four tracks running simultaneously. It was not easy to think and then to incorporate them but it was still fun to work on.

I'm finding this fiction as challenging as my fiction "Meant To Be". Or maybe more than MTB.
Once again I want to point it out that this is a Fiction and not something based on a Real Life story. Some things or many things will sound unrealistic. That is why I am requesting you to read it as an Fiction only. Though I'll try my best to keep it as Real as is possible for me.

I know this story has many characters that is why I have posted Characters Sketch in the Following Post. Do check it if you need any help with any characters relationships.

The below chapter will start to reveal some of the secrets that I had hinted in the previous chapters. One is who is Nishi and why she hates Aarti. Second one is what had Sanjeev offered to Aarti's father Atul that had made me restless and scared. Well here are the answers to these two questions...

"Devil's Vengeance "

"Chapter. - 7"

Year 2006... (Three Days Before The Workshop in Ooty...)

Sometime during the afternoon, at Aarti's college

Two weeks back Aarti was ecstatic when she found out that she got selected for the workshop which was going to be held in Ooty. Now she had her airline tickets in her hand. First thing she did was call Aparna. "Mumma I got my tickets. I have to leave for Ooty in three days...". She was barely able to contain her happiness. She coughed a little which immediately concerned Aparna. "Aaru are you okay?" She asked. "Mumma is just a cough. I'll be home in couple of hours then we will celebrate. Tomorrow we will go for shopping for the Gala on the last night!". Aparna promised she will make her favorite dishes and will go for shopping the next day.

Unaware that someone was eyeing her with jealousy, she was lost in sharing her news with her mother.

Nishi was looking at her with disgust. "Some people are born with all the luck in the world. She gets to share even smallest of her happiness with her parents whereas my parents use me for their own happiness. She gets selected so easily for anything and everything because she is talented, here I have to use other means to get anything and everything. I swear if I get a chance...". Just then her phone beeped. It was a message from Aakash. "Meet me at Mishra Niwas (MN) in the evening".

She wanted to throw her phone away at the mere mention of the name Mishra Niwas. Or anything related to Mishra's. She wanted to erase the memories of her first visit to
M.A.G - Mishra's Advertising Group. Memories that still haunted her...

Flashback to when Nishi was barely Seventeen...

She was the first born child of Harish and Pushpa Verma. They were a poor family and had four daughters.

Nishi was very beautiful. She had big dreams but due to poverty, she could not go to nice college or fulfill her desires and dream like other girls. She too wanted nice clothes, jewelry, luxury. Instead, she hardly got any pocket-money. Had to wear hand-me-down clothes that were given to Pushpa from the mothers of the kids whose tuitions she took. Nishi wasn't even sure if she would get to go to college the next year as her parents could no longer pay for her fees as they had to see after other kids education also. More than college, Nishi craved to be in the circle of those kids from high society. To live the kind of life they were living.

Harish had got job at M.A.G at clerical level. But he worked directly for Sanjeev Mishra. He was very good at buttering-up and hero worshiping his superiors for his own selfish reasons.

One day he forgot to take his lunch, so he asked Nishi to bring it for him. His workplace was on the way to Nishi's college. When Nishi reached M.A.G, she was directed to Sanjeev's office where her father was. The moment she entered his office, Sanjeev sprang to his feet for he was immediately attracted to this immensely beautiful girl.

When Harish introduced Nishi to him, he extended his hand for a handshake. Nishi hesitantly put her hand in his. The way he held her hand, squeezed it and then eyed her, sent a wave of fear through her entire body. Being beautiful, Nishi was used to boys or men's lustful eyes on her. But the way Sanjeev's eyes were roaming on her body, was something she had never seen or felt before. Making the excuse that she was getting late for college, she left from there, but she kept feeling his lusty gaze on her back even after she exited the building.

That night Harish told her that Sanjeev had taken a fancy at her. He was ready and willing to do or pay anything if Nishi spent one night with him. At first Nishi couldn't believe what she was hearing. Then she was baffled and disgusted. "Do you ever know what you are talking about?".

"I know very well what I'm saying". There was not an ounce of shame or remorse on Harish's face. "I have seen many women, even men doing things to gain success or fulfill their dreams and desires. No one is saint here. If they can do it then why can't you and I?"

"Have you lost your mind father? That man is of your age or maybe older than you and you want me to...want me to sle...with...". Nishi was too disgusted and appalled to even finish the sentence.

"The type of life that we are living, do you really think that one day you will find a Prince Charming, who will come and take you out of this poverty? If you are dreaming of that then you are one delusional girl. Let me show you your future my darling daughter...". Saying this he pointed out toward Pushpa. "Look at her. She too was very beautiful when she was young. Then she got married and became mother of so many daughters. She aged before her age. All her beauty vanished under the harsh reality of poverty. This... This my darling daughter would be your future. You can either use your beauty to your advantage or you can chose the path of destruction where your beauty will fade away in no time. All you'll be left with will be misery and misfortune. The decision is yours".

"I don't care about the life that I have in future but I won't sleep... won't sell myself to a rich old man". She was shaking with anger. Harish grabbed her chin with his fingers and made her look at him. "I won't force you, but remember one thing, that man is very rich and powerful. He can have and will have any girl that he wants. But he fancied you and want to be with you. If you refuse he can easily have you picked up and have his way with you. One thing is for sure, either way he is going to have you, with or without your consent. The choice is yours". His tone was calm but Nishi didn't miss the hidden threat in his words. She has witnessed what he did to her mother not one but several times. He had left the room but his words lingered around her.

Pushpa came to her. "Ma, how can you stay quiet and watch Papa talk to me about.. About such a filthy thing?"

"Nishi, if I had got a chance like this, I would have used it. Trust me my child, living in poverty is the worst punishment a person could ever get in his or her life. Everyone wants luxury and comfort. Some are lucky for they get it easily. Some sell their talents, some have to sell their body and soul to get it. Everyone uses the other for their own selfish reasons and purpose. If they want to use your body to fulfill their lust, then you too can use their wealth for your selfish reasons".

"But Ma, I'm not even Seventeen and that man is in mid to late forties. To allow him to touch me, to...to...". She shivered at the thought.

"You can close your eyes and pretend that he is someone else. Just remember that he is rich and powerful. He can find and have any girl that he wants". She repeated her husbands words. "Whereas you, you will be stuck with this life forever. Whichever path you chose, once that happens there is no coming back".

Nishi couldn't sleep that night. Next day she went to college. She realized even going to college was a fight for her. She had no money so daily she had to walk several miles to go to college. On the way she used to face many sordid comments from boys and sometimes men also. They used to eye her as if they were ready to pounce on her anytime.

She realized everyone wanted one thing from her. Her body. She realized her parents were right. She can either use her body for her own advantage or bury herself in the horrid world of poverty. That night she went to Harish and told him she was ready. She was ready only if Sanjeev was ready to fulfill her wishes.

Sanjeev was more than ready to fulfill any wish of hers. When the night arrived, when Nishi was to pay him the special visit, he sent her many beautiful and expensive dresses and jewelry. A car was sent to pick her up along with several expensive gifts for the whole family. She had to meet him at his home. After that she had no what he planned to do with her. She closed her eyes at the mere thought of that. But then she had taken this decision and had accepted all gifts. Like her mother had said whichever path she chose, once she steps on it there won't be any going back. She took a deep breath and entered the house that was forever going to change her life.

Sanjeev's wife Hema was well aware where her husband was going with Nishi. she went to Urmila but was badly insulted once again. "My son is a rich man. All rich men indulge in such pleasures. They need it after all the hard work they do to earn money and reputation. Money and reputation that you sit at home and enjoy. If my son can toil all day to give you comfort and luxury then why can't he spend some quality time? As his wife you are supposed to support him in whatever he does!"

Instead of supporting Hema, Urmila was supporting her son, which was not the first time. Hema dared to voice her fear. "These values that you have instilled in your son, now your grandsons are also catching them. You have turned blind by money and power that you yourself are ruining the lives of you son and grandsons. A day will come when this very fame and power will make you pay a heavy price. A very heavy price".

Urmila went so livid that to make Hema stop, she slapped her. "Insolent woman, stay in your limits or it won't take my son to throw you out". As usual Hema was made quite. While Sanjeev left for his private farmhouse where he had made special arrangements to spend his night with Nishi.

Nishi could never forget the night that she had spent with him. With an animal like Sanjeev. Like a puppet she allowed him to do whatever he wanted to do with her. Next morning she came home. Her body was swollen and bruised at many places. That night she had not just sold her body but her soul and spirit. She went and stood under the shower and cried till all her tears dried up and all that was left was cold water flowing down her face. That day she vowed that she will use Sanjeev and people like him who used and treated girls and women like dirt.

Sanjeev had liked her so much that he wanted to spend more time with her. He had gifted her many expensive items other than what she had demanded in her list. He even gave her lots of cash to buy whatever she wanted to buy. When Harish told her to give all the cash to him, she refused. Harish got angry and started hitting her with his belt. She took one beating and then grabbed the belt. "Go ahead and hit me. The more you hit me the more it will ruin my delectable body. No one will pay attention to me and you will lose the only source of your climbing up the ladder and becoming rich".

Harish knew she was right so he stopped. "One more thing Harish Verma...". Said Nishi which shocked everyone present in the room. "Don't forget I'm still your father. You won't disrespect me by calling me by my name". Harish warned her.

"The day you made me go to that man, our relationship ended. You are now only an employee of the man with whom I spend my nights. You tend to him, hence from now on you'll tend to me. And I want to make one thing clear to you, what you made me do, if you force my sisters to do the same then I'll make sure that you are in no condition to move your limbs". Nishi's threat had left everyone shocked. After that Harish didn't try to cross her path.

After that night, she spent many a nights with Sanjeev. She kept Sanjeev happy and satisfied, in return he kept buying her expensive things and fulfilling her wishes. One day Vikas saw her and his reaction was the same as his fathers. He asked Sanjeev if he could use Nishi. Sanjeev handed him Nishi. This time when Vikas went close to her, putting a finger on his chest, Nishi slightly and playfully pushed him away. "I'll only come with you, if you agree to give me what I want".

"What do you want?" Asked a drunk Vikas. Nishi gave him a list of things that she wanted. He promised her. Next day she got all the things that she had demanded. Soon she started meeting and fulfilling Sanjeev and Vikas's friends, acquaintances fantasies. Soon she was not hesitant anymore to use any man to get what she wanted.

Harish had now become Sanjeev's right hand man. He no longer did clerical work. They had moved to new apartment and he had bought a car. His other daughters went to nice schools. While Nishi now wore expensive and designer clothes and jewelry and always travelled by car. She now attended one of the top colleges in Pune, where she studied less and entertained most. Entertained some professors and many rich boys. She did them Favors, in return they gave her whatever she wanted.

End of Nishi's Story...

This is one such favor that she had to use to get herself selected for the workshop. Unlike Aarti who was selected for her talent. The day she had got selected she had called Aakash. "I had to do some special favors but I finally got selected to go on that workshop. I did all this for you as your sweetheart is going to attend it".

"Let me guess Aarti Dubey is going!" Aakash got excited. "You have given me the best news. I'll make sure Dad rewards you handsomely. Meet me so that we can start planning on how to make Ms. Dubey Pay for so violently touching my cheek with her delectable hand. Now that she has done it, the time has come for her to pay the price". He said rubbing his cheek where Aarti had slapped him.

Same time in Mumbai City...

A world famous car company was about to launch and present their new model with latest and newest technologies. They had organized a special screening for it and had invited Top Executives of all leading Advertising Companies. After the unveiling, the Company that would come with the best advertisement to present it in front of the world, that company would get a huge contract that would change the status of the selected Ad. Company.

Both Uday and Sanjeev were eyeing for this contract. They both had their own private choppers, so Uday had come to Mumbai with Suraj, while Sanjeev had come with Vikas. Uday had heard rumors that they had found a girl for Vikas and they were going to held a huge engagement party. The girls father was also there with them

"Well looks like the older men in Sindhia family are working while the younger ones are gallivanting around the town". Sanjeev taunted them, when, after the unveiling and other necessary formalities were over, they were waiting at the Helipad for their choppers to return back to Pune. "I have heard that your youngest son has become quite a playboy!" He was referring to Prateek.

"He may be a playboy but he is not a womanizer like you!" Uday retorted. "He goes out with girls who are willing to go out with him. While you pay or force girls without caring about their age".

"Mind your language. You are speaking to my father". Vikas got defensive. "What he does in his private life is none of your business".

This time Suraj lost his cool. "Well it becomes our business when he personally attacks my family, especially my sons". He then turned to Sanjeev. "And don't you forget about your sons. One of whom is a drunkard and a druggie, while the other one is as good as non existing".

The girls father who's daughter was to marry Vikas, got the shock of his life when he heard about Vikas's vices. He immediately broke the engagement. Sanjeev was fuming when he boarded the chopper. When he reached his office in Pune he called for Harish Verma. "We will have to find someone to execute our plan and we will have to find him now".

"How about Atul Dubey?" Suggested Harish. "He is the perfect candidate that they are looking for. Plus he needs money to fulfill his dreams".

"Do you think he will agree to do It? He doesn't look like the type". Sanjeev wondered.

"He himself had said that he would do anything for money which he needs to make his dreams comes true. Money makes a person do things that he could have never imagined".

"Arrange a meeting with him after couple of hours as I have another meeting to attend!" Sanjeev ordered and Harish set the meeting with Atul.

Late Afternoon At Sindhia Mansion...

In the evening when Yash entered the house, he found Vidhi, Pankaj and Prateek sitting in the living room. He sensed that Babuji was not at home, that's why Vidhi was sitting there.

Vidhi was seven months pregnant. They were having her baby shower the next day. He had taken few days off from his internship in London and had come to attend the baby shower. Right now he was returning home after meeting few old friends.
Manav, Maya and Aman too had come to India but were staying with Aman's parents. In the evening Manav and his whole family were coming for dinner to make the final plans for the baby shower. When BabuJi was not at home, Gayatri didn't allow Vidhi to do any work. Her sidekick Ram Dulare was given the task to keep an eye on BabuJi and signal them so that Vidhi could leave from there.

"So how is my Princess doing?" Yash asked as he sat next to Vidhi and placed hand round her shoulder. Pankaj raised an eyebrow. "I admit that she is your best friend but don't forget she is my Princess and not yours!"

Yash chuckled at Pankaj's possessiveness. "I'm not talking about your princess, I'm talking about my princess". He said placing his hand on Vidhi's tummy, which he loved to do. "I'm talking about this princess for whom I'm eagerly waiting for".

"How can you be sure that it's going to be a girl?" Asked Pankaj.

"Well my heart says that we will soon be blessed with a cute and beautiful daughter. A daughter is what this family needs!". Exclaimed Yash.

Vidhi removed his hand from her tummy which shocked all three brothers as she was never bothered with Yash and Prateek placing their hands on her tummy to feel the baby move and kick. Her sudden reaction was shocking. She shook her head. "No Yash I don't want a daughter". She got agitated.

"Vidhi you know very well that I don't mind if it's a boy or a girl, all I want is for both of you to be healthy and safe". Pankaj tried to relax her.

"I also want a healthy baby, but I don't want it to be a girl". She said again. "Have you all forgotten the kind of life daughters of this house had led? After hearing all those stories I don't want to have a daughter cause I don't have it in me to see my daughter suffering like other daughters of this family did".

Pankaj sat next to her. "I promise you that if we have a daughter I will stand by her and protect her. I promise you that she won't have the life that other daughters of this family did".

"But what about BabuJi? He already hates me. Do you think he will let me and my daughter live in peace in this house? In his house?" Tears started flowing her eyes.

"If that happens then I'll take you and our daughter away from this house. We will live somewhere else". Pankaj promised her.

"But Pankaj...". She was about to protest when Yash intervened. "No one is going to leave this house. I won't let that happen. If you have a daughter, I too will protect her and stand by her and her parents. Regarding what BabuJi will say or how he will react, well if we all stand together, like we did during your marriage time, then he will have to relent and accept the baby". Yash assured her.

"And I'm Dadu's favorite. He never says no to me". Said Prateek with pride. "If he doesn't relent then I'll start to throw tantrums till he accepts my princess".

"Everyone's princess". Yash corrected him. "Let me warn you, I'm going to spoil her rotten".

"Me too!" Chirped Prateek. "Bhaiya, we will buy beautiful dresses for her. I'll show her around. Girls dote on boys who looks after small kids. This little princess will help me attract girls".

"Don't you dare use my child for your gallivanting purpose". Pankaj warned Prateek.

"Yes what is it that I'm hearing about you Prateek". Yash turned to him.. "That you have become sort of a playboy!".

Precisely at that moment Gayatri entered the room, "This boy is losing focus in life. Neither he pays attention on his studies nor in his acting classes".

Everyone had ganged up on him. "Calm down everyone. I'm not gallivanting around. Yes I have girlfriends but only one serious girlfriend. I don't cheat on them. I don't force them to go out with me. I go out with only those girls who like to have fun with me. How is it my fault if girls finds me attractive and are ready to do anything for me? And Yash Bhaiya, you live in London. You are also young and handsome, I'm pretty sure you too must have a girlfriend or two!"

"Yes I go out on dates once in a while. But only once in a while. Right now my main focus is to build my career and then join BabuJi and Dad in our company. I don't have time for serious relationships. Plus I have not yet found the girl who take my interest and intrigues me. Prateek you are younger than me. You should be focusing on your career and not wasting time on girls".

"Prateek if you don't respect girls, how can you expect to have a niece?" Asked Vidhi. "What if boys start asking her out and she too lose her interest in her studies? What if boys looks at her as an Item, and use her? How would you feel then?"

"If someone dares to use and abuse my princess he will see the real Yash Sindhia". Yash went livid with the mere thought of it. "The day any guy eyes her and disrespects her would be his last day!"

"Calm down Yash!" Said Gayatri. "It's good to be protective of your family but to be this possessive that you'll resort to violence is not good. And Prateek you should pay attention to your studies also. Please do not embarrass your family with your philandering ways. And Yash you too?"

Yash said placing a hand round her shoulder. "No Ma, I don't have any serious relationships. Like I said right now I want to focus on my career. I will have serious relationship only with the girl who makes me fall in love with her. I promise you that I'll love her more than I love you or Vidhi". Yash teased her.

"What about Prateek?" Asked Gayatri turning back to Prateek. "Do you know how much it hurts when I hear about your escapades? Is this how I have raised you? Is this what I have taught you? To disrespect and use girls!"

"She is right Prateek. You are busy enjoying while Ma has to bear the brunt and clean up your mess". Said Vidhi as she got up.

"Okay my pretty Mumma and Bhabhi, I'll do as I say". Said Prateek. "I promise that after I return from this trip, I'll concentrate on my studies and won't spend too much time with girls. I don't want to put my Ma to shame".

"It's too late for that!" Echoed Suraj's angry voice as he entered the room followed by Uday. "Your antics have already put us to shame. Do you know how that Sanjeev was mocking you earlier? I should have listened to Gayatri and put a leash on you". He was fuming. He told them how Sanjeev had insulted them in front of all.

"I'm sorry Dad". Prateeks apology was genuine for he realized how much his flings with girls had hurt and upset his parents. He could not see Gayatri and Vidhi in distress. He loved them and respected them. "I have promised Ma and I won't disappoint her or you".

"You better not. Prateek you better mend your ways before you end up making a mockery of yourself and this whole family. Or I swear...". Suraj said angrily.

Uday was quiet the whole time as deep down he knew Prateek had put him to shame. His love for Prateek stopped him from shouting at him or else he would have never spared the person who brought disgrace to his hard earned reputation. To change the topic he reminded them that Aman's family was coming for dinner.

Aman, Maya, Manav and Manav's parents arrived on time. All men went through all the plans that were made for Vidhi's baby shower which was held the next day. Uday asked if all the invitations were sent. Everyone said yes. Uday then went to sleep as he had a long and tiring day. While Yash, Aman, Pankaj, Vidhi and Prateek decided to play cards.

When elders were left alone, Manav said that in his excitement he had made a mistake and had sent an invitation to Asha. (Sister of Vidhi's biological mother, Uma).

Maya panicked. "What have you done Manav? What if her husband sees it and they attend the function? What would we say to BabuJi as who are they? If BabuJi learns the truth of Vidhi's background all hell will break loose".

Precisely at that moment Pankaj had entered the room and had heard everything. "Bua what's done is done. All we can do is pray and hope that besides Asha Maasi, no one else sees it. And we have to make sure that Vidhi doesn't find out about it. I don't want to stress her in this condition".

"Even if they find the invitation and come, we will make sure that they don't crash the party and create a scene". Though Suraj had said this, deep down he was afraid of the consequences of what will happen if Uday learns the truth that they all had guarded since Vidhi's adoption...

That Evening at Aarti's House...

As Atul entered the house he found all his three girls squealing and giggling. He loved this side of Aparna so much. She became a teenager with twins when they wanted her and became their confidant when they needed a friend, but always helping and guiding them as a mother.

"What's the occasion? Why are my girls so happy?"

Arpita ran and hugged him. "Papa! As you know that Aaru got selected for that workshop in Ooty. Today she got her flight tickets. She has to leave in three days".

"And why was I not informed about it earlier?" He made a sad face. "I was toiling in my office while you all were celebrating".

"Atu, I tried to call you so many times, but you didn't answer your phone". Replied Aparna.

"Oh! I'm sorry about that I was busy in a meeting!" Atul replied. But Aparna didn't miss the slight appearance of tension on his face. She could read her husband's facial expressions so well that she sensed something was not right.

They had dinner where Aparna had made Aarti's favorite dishes, which were Atul's favorite too. But he hardly ate anything. Twins were busy discussing about the trip that they didn't notice anything. After dinner he excused himself

Unaware of tension in their fathers life, Aarti and Arpita, both sisters were busy discussing and planning on what dresses should Aarti take for the trip. Leaving them alone Aparna went in her bedroom where Atul was sitting lost deep in his thoughts. She asked him what was bothering him. Since he never hid anything from her, he told her about the conversation with Sanjeev.

Few hours back in Sanjeev's office...

Atul thought that Sanjeev wanted to discuss about some finances so he took his files with him. As usual Harish was also present in the room. Without looking at them, Sanjeev tossed the files on the table.

"Atul I'll come straight to the point. I know that you need finances to open your own Accounting Firm and a Art Gallery for your wife. I pay you nice salary but I'm sure even with that it'll take you several years to fulfill both the dreams. Well I have a job for you. If you accept it, you'll earn twice what you are earning now".

Something told Atul that he might not like what he was going to hear. He still asked, "What is the job?"

"Usually I would have not told you till you had assured me that you will take it, but I know you are a loyal employee and also in need of money. So I'll tell you. Sindhia's Visions are looking for someone for the post of Financial Officer. From what I've heard, the salary is very good. And with double the salary you'll..."

Atul cut him in the middle, "What do you mean by double the salary?"

"If you get that job, which I'm sure you will with all your credentials, then I'll also pay you the same amount that they will pay as your salary".

Atul was still not sure where this was going. "Why would you want me to work for your rivals and why would you pay me for taking that job?" He knew he was about to hear something unimaginable and unethical.

"Because they are my rivals and you are my honest employee. Because from time to time you will give me their inside secrets of what they are planning and all".

So Sanjeev was planning for Industrial Espionage. Atul was shocked and shaken to the core after hearing this. But he was also smart enough not to react on situations that could turn harmful to him. He was smart enough to know that if a person can plan Industrial Espionage he can do anything.

Controlling the anger that was raging inside him, he asked. "Won't I get caught? Being a new employee I'll be the first person they would suspect".

"You have a point that there is this one danger...". Admitted Sanjeev. "But I have a solution for that. Uday wants and keeps employees that are loyal to him. And he pays them heavy salary to make sure that they stay loyal to him. Plus all Sindhia men are emotional fools. They are Book Smart and not Street Smart. They believe in loyalty. All you'll have to do is to say in the interview that you used to work for me..."

Atul cut in once again. "Why would they hire an ex-employee from their rivals?"

"Because you'll say that you learned that we are frauds and cheats and that's why you resigned as you don't want to work with such people". Sanjeev waited for Atul to say something but he was too confused. He continued. "Yes it will malign my reputation but then it will also make them see that you are a person who works on ethics and sticks to his principles. Also you will show your loyalty to them. With this I'm sure you'll gain their trust in no time. After few months when they have started to trust you, you can start sending us inside informations. They won't suspect you as they would know that you would never support cheats and frauds".

Atul was baffled at the extent this mans mind was working. He had thought of everything. Had not left a single angle out. He had to clench his fists under the table lest he ended up punching Sanjeev in the face. But he knew better. Better than to react immediately or else he would end up regretting.

"What do you say?" Asked Harish. "It is an golden opportunity for you. If I were you, I would never have missed this chance. Plus think about the amount of money you'll be earning". He tried to tempt him.

"Hmm... The offer does sounds tempting and it would definitely help me to reach to my goal earlier than possible". He feigned to agree with them. "Is it okay if I sleep on this? There is a lot to think about and I don't want to take any decisions in haste". He tried his best to give them a smile which looked genuine.

And it did, cause Sanjeev bought his act. "Don't take too much time as the interview is in ten days. I'll say this once again that if you accept this offer it will change your life forever".

That Atul agreed with, that this offer is going to change everything. He convinced them that he would think over it and would give them an answer soon.

End of Flashback...

The moment Atul stopped talking, Aparna's face turned white. "But Atul that's wrong and unethical...".

"I know that dear. But I think now I'm stuck. If I say yes then I'll lose my ethics and my conscience. If I say no then I'll lose my job and maybe so much more".

"What are you going to do?"

"I've asked time from them. Let Aarti go on this trip then we will think about what to do...". They were still busy talking when Arpita came running, "Mumma-Papa, come fast, Aarti is suddenly not feeling well".

Aarti was shivering. She had high fever. They made her sleep on her bed and tended to her all night. But her fever was not reducing. Next morning they took her to the doctor who did some tests. Turned out, she had Typhoid. Doctor advised to admit her in the hospital as she needed proper care and treatment. She was hospitalized.

That day Atul didn't go to office. He called Harish and informed him about Aarti's condition. Sanjeev gave him few days off. Aarti's illness came out as a boon to him as he got some more time. But for how long? How long would he avoid meeting Sanjeev? Sooner or later he would have to meet him. He still was not sure what would he answer him and what would be the consequences of his decision?...

--------------------------------------

I hope you liked the above chapter.

I wrote Nishi's story and showed it to my friends to get their opinions. As I was showing an man in his mid Forties lusting after a girl who was not even Seventeen, I was not sure if readers will accept it or not. But my friends convinced me that such things do happen in the Real World and that it goes with Sanjeev's character. They also said that I should stick with my original vision. I hope you will accept my vision.

My main intent is to show how people succumb under pressure. Here Nishi had a choice but her own parents kind of pushed her in this filth. Plus she too needed a life of luxury and wealth. She was a misguided teenager who took a wrong path in life. But then her own father had warned her and threatened her that is she don't go willingly then Sanjeev can still have her one way or the other. More than Nishi, I blame her parents.

Coming to Yash and Prateek...

Well here I have shown Prateek who is spoilt but still loves and respects his mother. This is because of Gayatri's upbringing.

While Sanjeev's sons are going down a dirty path because their mother had no saying in their upbringing. It was Urmila and Sanjeev who kept pushing them on the path of destruction. Once again it was parents (her father and grandmother) who misguided Vikas and Aakash and would end up ruining their lives.

I have also shown a caring yet extremely protective Yash. There is a reason for that. This is one side of Yash's characteristics. As the story progresses layers of his many sides will unfold. I have a feeling that instead of hating him, you'll start to sympathize with him (well I've kept my fingers crossed). No I won't try to defend and protect Yash cause what he has done with Aarti (deliberately and knowingly) is unpardonable for me. As I've mentioned before also, for this he won't be forgiven till the very end of this story,

Next chapter will focus on Vidhi's baby shower. And more on Aarti being in the hospital and the trip to Ooty. Also more on Atul's fear on Sanjeev's offer.

I don't know how much time it'll take me to work on the next chapter. I hope you will be patient. I take time to work on my updates as I want to give the Best to My Readers. This is the least I can do for all of you for being patient and yet supporting me in your own way.

Thank You All and Love You All.

Nikki...

Nishi: it really is sad that as a child because that's what she was, she did not get the protection and guidance she needed from her own parents. Her father forced and threatened her to sell herself supported by her own mother. For them the comfort and luxury such a lifestyle would afford was more important than the unethical and sickening behaviour they were encouraging.

Still I would use a quote by my fav author here "it is not our abilities but choices that make us who we are" - J.K. Rowling. Nishi had a choice, she could have taken the hard choice and struggled on until she could reach her own success, but she took the easier choice, well I'm sure having relations with that monster was horrific but the immediate benefits outweigh that. Yet even then she could have chosen to use the opportunity of a good education to her advantage and studied hard but she did not. And now she is bitter as a result an innocent Aarti has to pay for having loving parents and for working hard to become someone in life. Her attitude is not fair but her soul has gotten so rotten because she lost herself while still so young. I'm at least glad she's protecting her sisters from being forced into the same life.

Hema is to be pitied. She's meek and weak and has no part in the upbringing of her sons. Urmila is so busy turning them into weapons for her vengeance that she does not heed the kind of humans they are turning into; absolutely rotten to the core. I'm sure Hema's words will haunt Urmila one day and she will be so sorry.

The level of hatred between the two families runs so deep that even SP who normally shuns confrontation was forced to speak up. But Sanjeev is such a hypocrite, criticising the Scindhia sons with the kind of sons he has...

That said, Prateek being Uday's weakness is what will bring this family trouble. Because he let Prateek get away with a lot, he allowed him to indulge. Sure he was not immoral in his conduct but he was a spoiled brat who always got what he wanted. And this attitude is what resulted in whatever happened in Ooty. The Mishras studied his behaviour and pounced! And as I said in the PM, he was forced to lie because of the promise he made to his Ma and Vidhi. It also led to Yash making such unpardonable errors. He is fiercely loyal and blindly overprotective of his loved ones; he does not even stop to think of their actions.

I can understand Vidhi's fear about bringing a daughter into the Scindhia family. Not only because she heard of the horrors and the hatred from the Mishras as a result, but because of how she is treated in that house when she's technically a daughter; she was never accepted because she was an orphan and a girl at that. But there is hope for this particular daughter as she will have so many guards against the tyrant she will have for a great grandfather.

Atul is between a rock and a hard place. Aarti's illness bought him a little time but he knows he's dealing with scoundrals without scruples and realizes that what he has learned places his family's life in danger. I strongly suspect that it was what led to their deaths.

So yes! It shows just how rotten to the core Sanjeev is! He not only lusts after young and innocent girls but he can easily wipe two people off the face of the earth like some insects. He is cold, calculating, and deliberate. Every step is thought out carefully and if there is a misstep it's rectified without time waste. He only has one goal, destroy the Scindhias! It's the mantra his mother has been chanting since he was a boy, now passed onto his sons. They would do anything, be as backhanded and low as they could to get it...

Why? Because a daughter was mistreated and cheated out of her due that she turned bitter and cheated in turn. Her heart became black and merciless! And the Scindhias keep doing the same thing to all their daughters. Gayatri saved Maya from such a fate or who knows what she could have become...

So yes the story is getting more and more complex and has me like this but I'm here for the ride! Eager for the next to finally learn what took place in Ooty, Alien ji 😛 waiting for your Alien brain to get to work!

Finally got the courage to read and comment.
It's amazing how deep seated rot can be. The Mishra's used their wealth to use and abuse people and the Nishi;s family had so little values that they sold their daughter into prostitution.
Reminds of the bible verse"The love of money is the root of all evil."

Nishi had a future. She was poor but she was beautiful and intelligent. Had she followed through wiht the path she was on, she might not have had nice things right away but she would have been educated and she cherished her education and could have gotten far in life.

But ,,, and this is a big but ... he family sold her out. Instead of showing confidence in her and affirming her values as the beautiful, intelligent girl, they told her that she has no value other than that her body could provide to rich, powerful mean with no scruples or values.

Although she as scared at first, once the deed was done, she not only accepted but embraced her role. As she was used, so did she use. She had everything she wanted but at what cost. Losing her humanity, her values and her virginity.

The worst of all of them for me is Nish's parents. How could they let their daughter down like that. She looked up to them for guidance and protection but instead they advised her to sell her body as she had no other future. How awful that her pathetic father used her mother as an example as what not to be. How disrespectful was that to her mother. Not only did her advise her, he basically threatened her. He told her that it would improve her future but all he really wanted was his position in the Mishra family to be secured. It was all about him. The selfish, awful so and so.😡

No wonder the woman was like that. Her husband was a terrible man. And she sounds like a person that lost her will to live. Like she had nothing to live for, when she could have lived for and fought for her daughter. She could have assured her that she is a capable person. And if she persevered she could make something of herself. She should have stood up to her husband for the sake of her daughter. And ultimately Nishi took on that roll. This was her one redeeming point. She became a prostitute but she made sure her father was aware exactly what kind of person he was in her eyes and she protected her sisters. She paid the price for their luxury life.

And the Mishra's deserves only contempt. What a lecherous old coot to use a young girl like that and then to pass her on to your own son. #vomit#
On every level they are disgusting human beings. They had no respect for relationships such as marriage or any other. They can't run a business without using underhanded measures and they use and abuse people at will. But what comes around goes around. They will have their just deserts.

I feel so sorry for Vidhi. Her life at SM was so stressful under babuji. To the point that she feared giving birth to a daughter. I am so happy that her husband and brothers in law made sure that she knew that they would support her at any cost.

The various personalities of the Scindiya brothers are very interesting. Despite, that they still had a close relationship. I think that beside their grandfather spoiling him, Prateeks brothers spoilt him too. What he was to me was not the worst. He was young and had no concept of the consequences of his actions. He only knew how to have fun and if it didn't work out then he would just charm his grandfather into forgiving him and go about business as usual. His parents tried to discpline him but could not overrule the patriarch of the family and his blue eyed boy could do not wrong in his eyes.

In fact even when he knew he was wrong, he just let is slide. If it had been anyone other member of the family that cause such embarrassment, he would have had their heads.

I feel sorry for Aarti's father being put in the position he was in. He did not have a way out. The question was put but with the understanding that he must agree or else ... He was under no illusion about any of this and he had to now figure out a way out of this dilemma. I am quite interested to see where that goes.

There is not much to say about Aarti in the chapter, but it is clear that they were a very happy close family. I loved the closeness of the girls with their mom, playing together. I also admire the relation of her parents. Her father was confident enough in their relationship to tell her mom exactly what happened. I am sure it made it a little better to share his dilemma.

Yash's character was clear here. He was fiercely protective of those her loved and i can see why he might have decided on his plan of revenge. So this part of his character though good was also his fatal flaw. And one he would grow to regret. He clearly one that loves deeply but when he discovered that he loved Aarti the damage was done.

Aarti was a happy go lucky girl. He make up was not such that she was used to that kind of disappointment and pain. it is sad that she was a victim in all of this.

Superb update. In Nishi's story you were able to show just how much poverty can affect a family and the type of decisions people make when left with little choice. Really liked the Scindia's section where Yash and Prateek are so possessive over Vidhi's unborn baby. Fantastic job as always and looking forward to what is in store next.
