Hi All,
So, I have been meaning to make a post on the unbelievable SR we were all blessed with... but unfortunately I have been so caught up with work that I never could. Even now, it is around 5am, and I am on a night shift, taking out some break time to get this post up. I just HAVE to talk about this. I have to let it out. haha π³
I have watched their SR scene countless times already, as I am sure many of you all have too. And, I have noticed a few things that I must point out. I have never, ever loved a SR scene this much before, on any Indian TV show. And I have understood why.
I think it is probably the best Indian TV has ever seen. After careful analysis, I have come to four main reasons for the SUPERB outcome of ViSa's SR:
1. Eijaz and Srishty (our beloved Srijaz) -- both their individual performance, and their chemistry -- obviously. π
2. Simplicity
3. Screenplay and Direction
4. The Song
Now, let me elaborate on each of these points.
First, Eijaz and Srishty. Their chemistry and skill as actors is of course not unknown to us... we all know that they are the epitome of perfection. But in the SR scene, they were just pure MAGIC. Eijaz is an experienced actor, and it was proven in his performance here. He knows exactly how to romance... just enough to make the audience get the feel, the intimacy... and still not make it vulgar. I think he was absolutely brilliant. Srishty paired SO WELL with him, it looked too real. It was like she just flowed in unison with him throughout the entire sequence. There is apparent immense comfort between the two, and they both emoted passion extremely well. It was unbelievable to watch. Both Eijaz and Srishty were bold and sexy, and subtle at the same time. Just EXCEPTIONAL.
Second, simplicity. Simplicity of the environment and the situation, but more importantly, of the actions and the way it was done. The few candles and the calming ambiance added to the romantic and intimate feel... and at the same time, it was not too much or overdone. I too kind of felt that they should be at the wedding, and it is a bit odd for them to be doing this in the middle... but then when I saw how they've protrayed this...with Vikrant's dialogue on the punar vivah taking place and them starting a new phase in their relationship... I realized that this is just perfect! ViSa doesnt need to have a cliche SR... because their relationship is not cliche. This was a great way to show it I think... and considering the little time they had to fit everything in this one episode, I thought it was commendable.
The other thing on simplicity that I would really like to mention is the simple actions in how the scene was done. It was so, so simple... and so subtle. Eijaz never really kisses Srishty. Not one actual kiss in the whole sequence. It all just teasing, nudging, feeling, nuzzling, touching. And thats all that was needed. So brilliantly done, it was beautiful and aesthetic. Classy but hot. Thats why we love it so much!! It was done with elegance. It was soft, but sizzling. Outstanding. ππ
Third, the screenplay and direction. What a wonderful job by the team!! πβοΈ It was sooo well shot! From the point Eijaz carries her to the bed, to the end of the scene... it was BEAUTIFULLY captured and filmed. Little little details is what makes a world of a difference. If you notice, little actions were captured in the cameras, like pushing back the hair, and their hand movements --- like when Srishty gets up and starts to move back... the camera pans to Eijaz's hands on her knee, that he moves out to her hand... that one little shot gives us as an audience the feelings of possession. Just awesomeee!!!! My ultimate favorite part of the screenplay, direction and shooting, was the cuts to the wedding. I know, like many of you probably felt,... at first, I too was like whaatt why are they showing this, I just want to see ViSa haha... BUT, when I watched the scene again and again, I realized how AMAZING this move is. Its symbolic, just in the way Vikrant's dialogue of starting a new phase was,... and it emphasized the perfection of consummation in this situation and in this moment for ViSa. The sindoor, the phere, the family,... everything is symbolic of not only vivaah... but punar vivaah. The beginning of another chance. the beginning of new love, a new story. Cutting to the major elements of a wedding, in the middle of the SR, is cinematic in itself. I loved it that they ended with a last shot of the fire (agni). And the we fade back to ViSa, going in for the kill ππ³ Again, the wonderful shot of the hands coming together, when we see them now laying on the bed, again no kissing... just passion. Really really outstanding. It was poetic and cinematically shot and directed. SUPERB!
And lastly, the song!!! ANG LAGA DE!! I admit, I never had any interest in this song,... but of course now I love it. I can not think of any other song... it was PERFECT. It added to intimate feel, and also the comforting and serene ambiance. I loved how it began, with instrumental music... Sarita pushes Vikrant and attempts to make a run for it (ha!), and he pulls her back... and thats when the lyrics start. Just perfect!! And then the "Ang laga de.." comes back when Sarita gets up and they shift back... also perfect! It was just insanely good. The instrumental music during the cut to the wedding, the mantras, and then back to ViSa with the lyrics... "Raat banjar si hai"... subtle and soft shot of Eijaz opening her dori... we get a nice cuddle and nuzzling hug... they are feeling the passion... and then cut to them laying down, Saritas hand falls... Vikrant entwines his... "Tere seeneh ki loh..." is again, perfect here. Really, Really great choice in song.
All in all... this SR is Bollywood material. Seriously. Outstanding. πππ
Undoubtedly, the hottest and best of indian TV in my opinion, for all the reasons above. I will cherish this forever.
Thank you to all of you that actually read all of this. Please comment with your opinions!! I can talk about their SR alll day haha π³

PS - After watching this... I just wonder... if Zee had not been so effing stupid, and we actually did get to see fullon ViSa romance... like a whole episode... and imagine if there WAS actual kissing... WE WOULD DIE. I think it would have been like... WAYYY TOO HOTT. I mean like,... they would actually need to consider censoring it. πβΊοΈ I mean, just this was burning hot... imagine if we had gotten more.
PPS - one more thing. I wish this murder track thing had finished up earlier, and we had gotten more of the episodes to ViSa and Ravya. I mean, I think they could have ended the murder thing quickly, and had at least two whole epis to spare. One could have been dedicated completely to ViSa and their SR... and the other could have been RavYa. And, I really really missed Abhi π I wish we had one last scene of the Suryavanshi family... and even the Jakotia family... like everyone together you know. *sigh. Lekin jo bhi hai... even this was great. At least we got some SR... that too such a mindblowing one!
