Baatein Kuch Ankahee si...Kuch Ansunee si...Hone Lagi...
Part 1
The first rays of the sun came out after the night of great passion but the two souls that had finally become one remained blissfully unaware, dozing peacefully in each other's arms. As the sunlight crept in on them a little more, Sarita stirred a little into consciousness. She felt a sudden rush of awareness as she felt the warmth of the other body against hers. She realized her head was resting against his chest as she could clearly hear his heartbeats; smooth, rhythmic beats. She felt her own heart wish that she could lay like that all her life simply listening to her husband's heart beat for her. Yes, HER HUSBAND, HER VIKRANTJI...She was finally complete. She had everything that she had ever wished for; actually a lot more. She had a loving husband who could go to great extremes for her, a loving son who had become her life and even a maayka full of loving relations. She said a silent prayer, thanking God before opening her eyes.
As Sarita opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Vikrant's face. She felt bliss of such kind which she had never felt before. That moment she decided that she wanted to wake up every morning just like that; seeing her handsome husband's face as the first thing in the morning. He looked so serene while sleeping, almost like a baby. She smiled thinking that he looks just like Abhi while asleep and maybe is even just as vulnerable. She realized that she was the only person who would ever see Vikrantji like that; her Mr. Akdu was Mr. Masoom at that moment. When she kissed the hand which was wrapped around her, her eyes fell on his tattoo. It was an ambigram which read "Respect" one way and "Believe" the other. She smiled thinking that it indeed is a reflection of her husband's persona. He has respect for everyone; he respects her family like his own, he respects even his ex-wife's family; his beliefs and principles are strong and well ingrained and thus, this good human being, himself deserves all the respect possible. She knew that he wanted Abhi to grow up to be just like that and she silently promised him that she would fulfill his every dream and would love him for life. As she lay deeply engrossed in her thoughts and the sweet memories of the night before filling into every inch of her soul, running her fingers unconsciously over his tattoo, he awoke in response to the sweet sensation.
He too like her felt an overwhelming bliss of a different kind. To wake up to someone's soft and loving caressing; to take in her fragrance and let it fill into his entire being made him feel like he and she were in a different world altogether. Vikrant didn't dare move a muscle as he was loving her caressing and didn't want her to become conscious about him being awake. But he took advantage of her being lost in her thoughts to happily stare at her beautiful face. His heart desired to forever keep looking at her. He even wondered how could he have been so lucky to get such a beautiful second chance in life. She was a great wife to him but most importantly, she was a great mom to Abhi. He felt he had taken the best decision he ever could take for his son by marrying Sarita and that now Abhi would definitely grow up to be a very good human being. It must have been this telepathic moment of them both thinking about their Abhi that Sarita realized that Vikrant was awake and looking at her.
Sarita gazed up at him and smiled and he smiled back. He tilted his head down to kiss her forhead and murmured, "Good morning."
She smiled and said, "Good morning. Aap kab jaage? Mujhe toh pata hi nahi chala."
He said, "Jab tumne pyaar se mera haath sehlate hua mujhe jagaya."
She now realized her fingers caressing his hand and instantly said, "Sorry, mera aapko jaga dene ka iraada nahi tha."
He put a finger on her lips with his other hand and said, "Main toh chahata hoon ki tum roz mujhe aise hi jagao. Infact promise karo ki tum mujhe roz itne hi pyaar se jagaogi. Main chahata hoon ki mera har din tumhari baahon main khatam ho aur har subah tumhi se shuru ho."
Sarita blushed at his words and gazed down. He continued, "Kya hua? Abhi bhi mujhse itna sharmana? Ab toh humare beech koi bhi raaz nahi raha hai..."
She smiled and tried to break free from his arms to get out of bed but he held her even tighter and said, "Itni jaldi kya hai?" She tried to make futile excuses, "Abhi ka school hai aaj, pata hai na appko aur aapko bhi toh office jaana hoga. Mujhe bohot kaam hai."
He laughed a throaty laugh and she looked back at him questioningly. He said,"Mrs. Suryavanshi, mujhe nahi pata tha ki mera aap par itna gehra asar padega ki aap din bhi bhool jayengi...Aaj Sunday hai aur isiliye na Abhi ko school jaana hai aur na hi mujhe office." She again opened her mouth to say something but before she could, he cut her short and said, "Aur...abhi kaafi jaldi hai toh Abhi bhi itna jaldi jagne nahi wala ki aapko uske paas jaana padega. So Mrs. Suryavanshi bahane banana chodiye aur mere saath humara iss our time' ko enjoy kijiye!"
And so she surrendered and much to her own amazement found herself moving up to him to kiss him on the cheek. He closed his eyes blissfully and a goofy smile crept onto his lips. He looked as cute as a baby and she giggled looking at him. Her tinkling giggle made him come back to his senses and he looked at her amusingly to figure out the reason for her sudden burst of giggles. She figured the question playing on his mind and simply said, "Abhi bilkul aap pe gaya hai!" He was even more befuddled and she was having fun at his amazement. She finally explained, "Agar aapne kuch waqt pehle apna bacche ke jaise muskurata hua chehra dekha hota toh aap bhi apne bare yahi kehte!"
Vikrant simply gazed at her contentedly; he loved the fact that he was the reason behind her happiness. Looking at her intently he softly whispered, "Thank-you Love."
Sarita stopped giggling and looked at him. She was trying to decipher his intent gaze and reason behind the thank you but could not so she asked, "Thank-you kis liye?"
Vikrant didn't say anything for some time and finally he spoke in no less than a whisper, "For everything!"
"Mujhe lagta tha ki sirf Abhi apni maa ke bina adhoora hai par main khud ek jeevan saathi ke bina kitna adhoora tha yeh toh maine jaana hi nahi tha. Apne aas paas ek deewar bana di thi; business mein khud ko busy kar diya taki akelapan mehsoos na ho lekin aisa karke apne akelepan ko aur bhi jyada badha diya aur Abhi ke liye bhi ek accha daddy ban nahi paya..."
At this moment Sarita hastily put a finger on his lips and said,"Shhh...Jo beet gaya use kyu yaad karte hai aap. Aap world ke best daddy hai; aisa main nahi, Abhi khud kehta hai." Vikrant removed her finger from his lips and said, "Mujhe bolne do, bohot saari ankahee aur ansunee baatein hai jo shayad tumhe pata bhi hai lekin phir bhi main unhe tumse kehna chahata hoon."
"humare rishte ki shuruvat ek samjhote se hui; tumhari majboori se. Jab yeh majboori ka rishta dosti mein badla tab mere dil ne mujhse kai sawaal kiye ki tumhari dosti par bhi mera kya haaq hai kyunki maine tumhara saath nainsaafi ki thi. Lekin mere in saare sawaalon ka jawaab tumne ek hi pal mein mujhe de diya, jab uss din Rohan ne mujhse yehi sawaal kiye par tumne kaha ki tum kujhse nafrat nahi karti ho."
"Us din mujhe kitna sukoon mehsoos hua main yeh tumhe bataa bhi nahi sakta. Us din se mere dil ne ek ne safar ki shuruvat ki. Dheere dheere main tumse pyaar karne laga par samjh hi nahi paya ki mujhe pyaar hone laga tha."
"Tumhe yaad hai wo din jab tumhara mangalsutra meri tie mein phass gaya tha. Us pal mein kya hua, tumne kya kaha, main nahi janta kyunki main toh tum mein kho gaya tha. Mujhe toh bas tum dikh rahi thi, mere bohot kareeb aur main saari duniya ko bhool gaya!"
Sarita started giggling again reminiscing about that moment and said, "Jaanti thi ki aap kahi kho gaye the. Maine toh bas aapko chidhane ke liye kaha tha ki kahi aap mujhme toh nahi kho gaye the. Mujhe kya pata tha ki sach mein aap..." She looked down shyly unable to continue.
He held her hand and brought it to his lips and kissed it softly. He teasingly asked her, "Toh ab toh aap mujhe mere us sawaal ka jawaab de sakti hai na, Mrs. Suryavanshi?" Sarita looked at him puzzled, "Kaunsa sawaal?" Vikrant continued, "Yaad hai ek din maine tum se pucha tha ki hum aapke hai kaun?" Sarita smiled recollecting their encounter when he had pinned her to the wall and asked her this question and shyly said, "Maine jawaab diya toh tha."
Vikrant teased her further, "Accha? Kya jawaab diya tha aapne? Phirse kaho na..." Sarita looked up at him and in an instant felt herself melting because of his intense gaze. She gathered herself and said, "Yahi ki...Hum...hum aapke bete ki mumma hai!"
Vikrant grabbed her into an even tighter hug and said, "Haan wo toh tum ho. Abhi ki mumma...a perfect mumma! Aur...mere liye..." Sarita kept looking at him, silently urging him to finish his sentence.
"Mere liye..." He was enjoying making her wait.
He looked at her for some more time and finally after making her wait enough, he said, "Mere liye meri perfect Mrs. Jhagdu!!"
She was stumped. She punched his chest with her tiny fist and protested, "Vikrantji..."
He laughed at her childish innocence and held that tiny fist that had punched him and kissed it and suddenly out of the blue asked her, catching her even more unawares, "Sarita, hum kahin vacation par chale? You know...honeymoon pe...?"
