SHADES OF LOVE PART 2
Abhi tugged his dad time and again while Vikrant only stood lost into a world of silence staring into the shocked eyes of SARITA...
Abhi ran to her winding his tiny hands around her legs .. She slowly bent down wiping her eyes putting up a smile " abhi ... go to your room and sleep.. mumma will come"
" I will sleep only with you " abhi insisted
" abhi beta... You will listen to mumma na ... Go.. I will come " she said yet again trying her best to withhold the tears that seemed to not leave her alone..
Abhi looked at his parents confused and ran away to his room ..
Vikrant walked in to sarita as she looke dup to him her eyes still confused at the shock she just refused " whats this for Mr Suryavanshi?"
Vikrant looked around lost for words as he tried to talk " who.. saritaaa"
"you want me to leave you and abhi?" she asked he eyes desperate for an answer and explanation
" nooo" was all that he could grab for an answer,,,,
" then why this Mr Suryavanshi" she asked disbelirf still evident in her voice
" I thought" vikrant started but now that he knew he was wrong all long he couldn't bring himself upto tell her his mistake.
" what did you think" she asked tugging his hand as he turned away
" I am asking you something " she stressed raising her tone tugging into his hand deeper
"wohhh" he tried only to fail miserably yet again
" look at me and say na" she said forcing him to face her as h looked down unable to look into her eyes..
His silence and hesitation sent the frets down her spine as they came out as tears rolling down staining her cheeks
" tell me na.. what did I do to deserve this.. tell na" she pleaded her voice trailing away as she broke down in front of him
Vikrant stood there still and broken unable to gather himself to speak or console her...
" I don want to go Mr Suryavanshi... I cannot... I want to be here... As abhi's mumma ... As your wifeee" she cried through her sobs as vikrant went on his knees beside her as she sat there crying her knees drawn close to her chest and head buried inside
He felt like slapping himself to see her like this... she din deserve one bit of it... How he regretted he had been there only to misunderstand her...
He raised his hands slowly as he placed it on her head and she looke dup her blood shot eyes looking into his regretting remorse filled ones
" what have I done... Plzzz tell me na" she begged yet again making his heart ache with guilt
" sarita... plzz forgive me" he spoke his head bent and gaze not meeting hers
She was shocked and surprised... forgive! But why? She was thinking she was wrong somewhere and hene he wanted to part but forgive? She could understand anything... she placed a hand on his shoulder and he turned his gaze still not being able to meet with hers
She placed her hand on his chin making him look up to face her... She was shocked all the more to see the remorse filled teared up eyes of her husband in who's eyes she had least expected to see them ...
" whats wrong" she asked softly
"I thought you... " he started trying to look away when she cupped his face as she spoke " you thought"...
" I thought you din love abhi... me..." he spoke with a pause in between and she removed her hands off his face as if current had struck her
" I thought you were faking for revenge" he spoke timidly
" fake... revenge " she whispered shocked not knowing from where he got the stupidest idea
" what are you saying ?" she asked him confused
he told her everything from the day he saw the files till how he followed her and finally decided to play back...
every line he spoke came as if he was plunging daggers into her heart
He finally told her how raj and dhivya had finally made him realize the truth
sho stood there as if death had just engulfed her... her eyes drained and face devoid of any expression...
he culdnt take her silence and walked to her placing a hand on her shoulder " sarita "
she shrugged off his hand as she sat on the bed
" everything was revenge is it... the dancce in rajji's wedding...the way you had taken me aside... or everything was fake is it?" she asked her voice in whispers
he sat beside her as she looked up to him and spoke " you could have killed me na... that day itself ... it would have been better " she said as finally the tears rolled down her cheeks...
Vikrant felt disgusted himself
she held his collar as she spoke anger evident in her words " you always say na.. you don keep anything in mind.. you wont take ages to express.. you could have asked me na... just onceee..." she said as he sat there in silence
" i would have told you.. told you everything...even told you how much you both meant to me and and... how much i love both of you..." she spoke as her hands dropped from his collar
" you know what... its been years i had someone who i could share anythign with.. my first marriage happened and till 10 years my husband din even bother about my existance.. smiles or tears all i ahd was the person in the mirror.. i had none excpet myself to share anythign with... then we became friends.. i almost fell in love but then... so much happpened yet again and here i was Mrs VIKRANT SURYAVANSHI... honestly this marrieage was nothing more than a deal... but there was something more which made me agree to this.. abhi... i can never fake or betray him Mr Suryavanshi...
" that day in the hotel you remember .. you accused me of beign with Rajji... how do you expect em to come and tell you that i wanted to help him after this.. how will i know if you will understand... you are most important for me but that family and he meant something to me.. If not for Rajji i wouldn't be standing with you here today... and good or bad i had once expressed my love to Rajji though it was too late... and i tried my best to make him hate me but failed miserably.. but i cant walk off asking him to go die... i just cant... but that does not mean i can betray you... i can never even think of leaving abhi... but things changed... as days passed and i saw the real man behind the rude deal making businessman i couldn't help but fall in love with you.. and the way you treated me i felt like i was very spl.. like i meant something to someone... I felt loved...and what i fekt for you na i have never felt for anyone ... not even rajji,,,,i thought may be i was wrong.,... this was love... that which i had for you... finally i learnt i could trust you and i wanted to tell you everything soon but..." she choked as she broke out into tears and vikrant's eyes were moist and reddened to hear how much he meant to her
" saritaaa" he spoke as he placed his hands over her and she shrugged them yet again
" no vikrantji.. it was not your fault... its mine... you know what love is jus not mean for me.. its never written in my destiny.. why must i always be misunderstood first then punished and then understood...rajji believed me first when i said i am amrryign you for money and he even hated me until he knew the truth,,, and now ... so muh that you wanted to kill me and decided to take revenge by faking love... do you even have an idea of how happy i was every minute you smiled at me ... why is it always me?? why cant i ever be loved and understood without any reasons and proof... why is my love always so weak???" she spoke as tears rolled down her eyes consistently...
" its just not meant for me " she told and cried yet again
the minutes that followed were nothing but silence as she sat by bed and vikrant by the window both looking at each other ...
Suddenly abhi ran inside " mummmaaa"
Vikrant came out of his thoughts as Sarita quickly composed herself and wiped her tears
Abhi looked at his mom and placed the cover he bought with him aside and held her hand and wiped her tear" daddy shouted at you "
Sarita looked at him closing ehr eyes at the bundle of innocence in front of her as abhi turned to Vikrant " daddy... say sorry... i don like mummy crying... say soorryyy" he screamed pouting his lips
Sarita pulle dhim closer and hugged him a she winded his thin arms around ehr neck burring his face into her chest
she smiled as she wiped her tears " din you sleep still ?"
" i bought a gift for you " abhi said giving the cover
she opened it and i was a picture of a lady.. probably he tried drawing her .. she smiled " this is me na" she asked upping his cheek
" yes mumma you like it.." abhi spoke all excited
" i love it " she said as she opened the card and her world froze
" to the worlds Best Mumma... I Love You... Abhi"
" mumma i love you abhi said strapping his arms around ehr enk from the back
" i am sorry i din wish you for your bday .. you wont leave me na" abhi asked innocently
" abhiii " she said grabbing him forward showering his face with kisses
" how can mumma leave you ?" she patted him
" i thoughts thats why you asked me to go to my room " abhi said crying biitterly
"i want to be only with youuu" abhi said hugging her
" you will... mumma will never leave you " sarita promised her smiles replacing the worries on her face
" promiseee" abhi said showing his hand
" pucca promise " she said covering his tiny hands with hers lifting him...
As he slept she realized... love was written in ehr destiny.. the kind she wanted ... the one without any reason ... the one without expectation... the unconditional love...
God had indeed blessed her .. just that the love he blessed her was another shade... SHADE OF LOVE purer and mightier than the one she craved for...
SHe finally kissed the sleeping form of abhi on their bed and pulled the blanket over...
