@Afsara, the script, direction and execution always is more important than actors. There are some shows that have worked even with mediocre or one lead actor. Of course if you have good actors along with other things, then the product will always be superior.
CB1 had brilliant characterization of all characters and execution was also well done. They spoiled it after about a year, but still characters were kept constant for the most part even in the second year. CB2 too had a good story in the beginning and characterization was kept consistent until 6 months and after that it turned bad. But still audience stuck to both shows because they got connected to characters.
In PV1, the story is characterization is kept under wraps and two characters - Divya and Raj are getting very superficial scenes with a bad script.. Rubina and Karan are getting flak but how many emotional scenes have they been given so far. Karan is getting the worst deal as he is getting only the marginal space. Rubina on the other hand has been good costumes, but that is it so far. In fact, she performed well on Friday in the limited space she was given. Her scene with Kamla and family was very nice where she felt uncomfortable and cringed when Kamla just went off on her tirade at Sarita. Then she was looking gentle with Sarita and then she was awkward and diplomatic with Kamla when she was trying to advise her to treat Sarita nicely. She was acting well as a stranger who wants to call Kamla on her bad behavior, but is tentative as doesn't want to offend the hostess for obvious reasons.
Shouting or screaming only doesn't imply acting well. The expressions on the face, voice modulation and body language are key things. Unfortunately, her scene with Karan was cut short and so there was no scope to perform in that.
The theme of this show is not bad as there have been many movies on such kind of themes. But they need to unwrap these characters. It doesn't matter if their actions are wrong or right, but they need to provide justification for their behavior. Here they are not doing so. Unless they make audience connect with all three characters, audience will find it hard to root for these characters.
