I don't think that's the strategy Angie. In fact, they have never had a problem with DABH in terms of TRPs and the storyline/characterization has been consistent throughout the show. Same with PV1, the storyline and characterization were both consistent and strong throughout the show. The only time they started to add in masala was after the TRPs dropped, which was a good 10-11 months after the show started, and even then, it stayed with its original storyline and the character's weren't out of character. I haven't seen their other shows. I like Khoobsurat but haven't been following it, but when I watched it the characterization was simply amazing.

About this show, I can't find anything likable in Raj's character. Even Divya and Sarita have been putting me off lately. Starting off with a weak storyline and weak characterization is never good because the beginning is what sets the foundation for the entire show.

Chemistry between the leads is subjective. One can say that Karan-Rubina share an amazing chemistry but to me, I don't see that spark in them. But even then, people would have watched the show (those who like Karan-Rubina) if the story made sense.

In the case of PV-ENU, nothing makes sense. The characters are so weak, unrealistic and ridiculous that as an audience, I can't relate to them. I absolutely hate Raj and Divya. Raj is a spineless guy who has to man up and treat his wife with respect because even if he doesn't love her, it was his decision to marry Sarita so he should at the very least honour his decision! Divya's character is amongst those characters which I can't stand - the epitome of sacrifice, the "Good One", the mahaan one. Seriously. It's so filmy! If people had issues with Aarti's "mahaanta", I wonder what they have to say about Divya. And I thought Sarita's character was the strongest out of the 3 but now, I am thinking twice about that as well. She should have taken her stand and left Raj if she knew that nothing was going to change, no matter how many years pass by. No communication in 10 years. Puh-leez, what kinda crap is that? And do I even need to talk about how disgusting it is to see Raj's father's mistress roaming around in the house? 🤢

Actors, chemistry, etc, do matter when it comes to TRPs but what matters even more is the story. One can say that PV-ZMD's story was ruined with the excessive screen-time given to Ishita, yes. But the concept and the essence of the show was never lost. Like Saffi has said, the foundation of Punar Vivah - Zindagi Milegi Dobara was so strong that even the occasional glitches couldn't force fans of the show to stop watching it. I don't want to blame anyone but if I had to, then I would hold the channel responsible for the entire mess. The Mittals are wonderful story-tellers, I am sure they would have done justice to this show if they were given the time, and if the channel wasn't breathing down their neck. With the further dip in the TRPs, I don't know what the fans of this show are in for.

PV ZMD's trp had never fall like this drastically and the fact herewas right and we all didn't blame anyone here either the cast or their chemistry...It was just an opinion and truth regarding PV1...no comparisons yaar PLEASE!!!

Divya and Raj actions aren't explained, where Sarita get all the scoop.

The only reason I'm still watching is for Rubina and like the chemistry between Raj and Divya, even we know nothing about their past. I really hope it is not late to explain the characters, and not only Sarita. In a beginning of a storyline you explain the characters motivations and their thinking.. their past but in this one side story it is missing totally. Seems to have one lead Sarita. Where the rest is supporting?

Waiting to see...the story needs an improvement and a strong concept for getting TRP's ! And I can tell that if this show has 8 PM slot the TRP's would be above 2 😉 At the PV time slot people are watching that show with the kids (I don't wanna give the name) 'cause kids are always more watched ! Zee TV doesn't care for the shows or the actors,only about TRP's ! Well,they have one big favorite and another one who taked CB 2 's place ! For me , the TRP's are nothing and don't reflect the actors talent ! But for Zee TV seems to mean a lot and less TRP's are the way they killed almost all their good serials...sad ! Viewers can't connect with the characters if they are showing only Sarita's POV and let Raj and Divya out ! Today finally saw a smile on Raj's face after ten years ,seems Divya is doing wonders 😆 But I'm enjoying PV 2 and love the actors ,I'm for Ravya's reunion and Sarita should find another person who can give her a lot of love !
