Nice explanation for the broom in hand. Yup, Divya has come to remove the obstacles in Sarita's life.

But i agree with Angie that after watching RaVya together, she felt worried and clutched her mangalsutra...depicting that her risk could lead her in a good or bad position. I wonder how will things unfold now? I mean now that Raj knows that Divya didn't get married, and that now she has come to stay to with him...why will he accept Sarita? Questions galore and hoping to answers nicely as well.

I loved reading your thoughts and comments. Thank you. The whole scene of Raj and Divya had a surreal quality to it, and was in sepia tones, and so it might be dream or wishful thinking of Sarita. It will be interesting to discover how the CVS play this out. Sarita is shown to be a very practical person, and somehow her imagining all this, although certainly possible, will be a yet-to-be-revealed dimension of Sarita's character. Perhaps it is also a foreboding of things to come.

In a household, specifically in a marriage, certain things need to be hidden. What if the broom-like Divya with her blunt honesty cleans too much, and in the process exposes things that were mercifully hidden?

Myra, I am thinking of it as a partial dream. They showed Divya clutching her kurta when Raj was caressing her cheek. So she was resisting touching him. That part cannot be a dream. Raj looked at her hand and saw her mehendi and then asked about her wedding. But the way Divya was talking to Raj onwards can be a dream. But then Divya is also honest to a fault.

aimf, I agree why it looks like a dream. But then it has to be a three-way dream because the way Divya and Raj were reacting to each other is based on what they feel for each other and Sarita would not know that. Also the lines used on them reflect their thinking about each other. But Sarita is not privy to that either. The only part of dream can be Divya speaking those lines to Raj, Sarita fearful of their connection and having second thoughts about her decision to bring Divya back in Raj's life and Sarita's fear of Raj's reaction.

You have a good analogy about Divya exposing hidden things. Divya and her family are open, Raj is a mystery, Sarita and Raj's family have secrets. So Divya coming to this family may end up exposing things that they are hiding or trying to ignore that they exist.
