It was very interesting that Sarita went to greet Divya with broom still in hand. Usually, the broom is not a symbol of welcome; it signifies the departure of the dust and dirt in the house. It is also an instrument used in exorcism. Divya symbolizes the broom the purpose of whose entry is to clean up the cobwebs of the past in the head of Raj. She is the exorcist of the demons of the past. Will she succeed, or will, she end up inadvertently sweeping Sarita out of the house and out of Raj's life? Only time will tell.

aimf,

I like your reference of broom. Divya is definitely there to exorcise the demons of the past as she should be. The demons are not there only for Raj but for her also. As she said, Raj's life stopped because of her. Since Raj means so much to him, she was going to be there.

It may be possible to bring closure to Raj's life, but is it possible to make somebody fall in love for somebody else? Can anybody fix anybody's marital life if both are not willing to make an effort? I liked the last scene where initially Sarita was ecstatic to see Divya because Divya is the only hope for her now. But then she realizes looking at Divya and Raj on how each one is so connected to the other. Her clutching of her mangalsutra while suddenly looking apprehensive at this connection between the two was very telling. The person she has brought back has good intentions, but to where will it lead?

Nice interpretation of the scene! I agree...Divya has come to exorcise the demons of the past for Raj as well as herself (even though she may not realise it). She has come with a pure heart and good intentions.

Sarita sees in Divya a new hope...her final hope; but deep down inside she is sensible enough to realise that things could go either way. She is aware of this fact but is willing to go to even this extent to get her husband's love.

Now the question of what will happen next remains. So many possibilities...

I for one can't wait for the story to unfold!

@aimf- I liked your explanation for the scene.

@Myra- I liked your explanation regarding welcoming someone with a broom indicates that the person is an unwelcome visitor.

For some reason when watched that episode I initially thought it to be a dream of Sarita. I might be wrong but that entire scene had a dream like quality in it. Also Divya's dialogues were Sarita's thoughts and fears that have been shown in previous episodes. Divya said that how can she be married when Raj has not given Sarita her rights as his wife (Sarita told exactly the same thing to Divya on her mehendi)...that how low his wife has fallen that she had to go to his ex girlfriend for her rights (again Sarita's dialogues when she was returning from the mehendi) and that she is her because Sarita asked her to talk to Raj and tell him to give her rights of a wife and they showed a clutching her mangalsutra (Sarita's main fear that if Raj gets to know this then he will be very angry). Also the precap showed Gaurav cautioning Divya regarding approaching the matter directly because it might backfire.

Anyway this can also not be a dream because Divya also has the habit to be very honest but she also can be diplomatic when she does not want to tell the exact truth. So I am a bit confused about that scene.

@Myra: I too like your interpretation of "unwelcome" visitor. Sarita has asked Divya to come to her life because of her own goals, but Divya is an an unwanted one in that house for Sarita.

@Misti Now that you and others have mentioned it, I am beginnig to think that it was either a dream or at least it was a parital dream. Initially, I thought it was not a dream because lines used on Raj and Divya (tum ho aaashiqui) song represent their thoughts and not Sarita's thoughts. Also Divya is very honest and so she is usually upfront about most of the things.

But the rest of the dream was from Sarita's perspective where Divya used exactly her lines. Also, Karan's look of shock at Divya's words, his looking stern and approaching Sarita and then Sarita looking apprehensive represented Sarita's fears as she explained to Divya the day of Mehndi. Sarita wants to keep this pact secret and is afraid of Karan finding out about it. I think more than Karan losing his anger at her, she is scared that her image would break in front of Karan. So far Karan may not feel anything for her, but he does think of her as selfless person who has taken all the abuse without any complaint and is tolerating his neglect for 10 years.

So it could be either a partial dream where Divya and Raj do get lost in each other and there is tenderness in Divya's eyes for Raj. Raj of course is as usual mesmerized by her coming back to him as he has wanted that for 10 years. But the rest could be Sarita's dream. Also, Divya has kept this secret even from her siblings and did let her brother blame Gaurav even though she stopped him in the middle of his anger at Gaurav. So she would more than likely keep it a secret from Raj too.

So this can go either way. But I am more inclined to think of it as a partial dream.
