Chalhov, there is a whole range of thinking that went behind the name change. I am dividing up my explanation as my new goal is to write brief in each post. 12 was for two reasons. The numbers double up when I change my usename. So 3 became 6 and 6 became 12. 12 is because my birthday is May 12.

😆Myra, you got it so right. First of all, let me complain that the forum gives misleading information. The rules state that you can only change your username once. So I never tried to do so when this forum started. But yesterday, I was in really "growing up" mood and decided to give it a try and it worked.

Ok, now the reasons behind the name change.

1. I decided to widen my horizon. So raat gayi, baat gayi. Needed to come out of CB mood.

2. I was thinking that Misti's thread is more than likely to get new blood as only one-third participants are from the old forum. So this name change was a welcome greeting for new participants who would like to this thread and may be apprehensive in joining the old club.

3. I am (or maybe was?) thinking of giving this new historical (Maharana Pratap or MP) a try as e and Chetak are one of my favorite characters from history. So thought I could be a regular participant in this forum and be a backup participant in that forum. Watched the first episode which seemed good with the exception of the villain who looked/acted like a sidekick of a sidekick of the main villian from 70s hindi movies. Some participants in the forum too seemed interesting until I read this thread by someone who pointed out major discrepancies between the actual events and what was shown.

So I got reminded of Misti telling me one time that Jhansi ki rani's SR was shown in a barn and she had a Barkha type character after her (the actor was also the same). So that has given me a pause about this. Now I am thinking whether Maharana Pratap would also have the same problem as Dev did when he grows up (getting a psycho like Barkha after him). So far, there is a choti ma in that story who is a favorite queen of his father and is like Kakayi to Pratap's Ram. I have read that she would turn against him when she gets her own son. So a thought of Padma and Barkha combination is making me rethink about following the serial. Talking about Dev, that kid playing chota Dev is shown as a childhood friend of Maharana Pratap.

Anyway to cut the story short, I thought I needed a name change so that I don't have to provide explanations for my username.

4. I was missing the presence of one of the Gods in the show as female lead character has to have a particular God/Goddess in every Hindi soap. But the precap was reassuring as there may be Devi in this show to right all the wrongs. So I needed a "12" for future "12 Whys?" when the show's devi starts behaving in a way that would not be understood by simple people like me.

So in conclusion I am growing up as you rightly pointed out as I am coming out of my Koopmanduk (well in the frog) mentality.

This reminds me of a story my father used to tell me that would fit you and your thought process. There was this brilliant, genius scientist who got so baffled when he got another cat. His first cat was big and he had made a hole for the cat in the back door of his house for the cat to go in and out of the house. So when he got a new small cat, he was wondering how that poor thing would go out of the house. So he made another hole ( a small one) in his back door for the second cat to go out.

Angie I will also make a new hole for the small cat, not because he can't go out of the big cat door but because he might feel left out that the bigger cat has his own door and he does not have one.😳
