Thanks, Sush. I like this reference of Betaal even though Sarita seems more like a betaal to Divya's Vikram right now. I have not watched any betaal show on TV or anywhere else, but Vikram Betaal stories used to be one of my favorites and Betaal was one of really comical characters for me with his sarcastic demeanor and tongue in cheek humor.

Misti/Myra: Actually, if I have to think of Vikram Betaal using TV soap characters, Dev/Rohan combo comes to my mind.

Vikram-Betaal, just google-ed these two, and yup, dev-roh fill the picture very well !!

Misti just saw your post and will be reading your analysis as you read human nature very well . i write from watching people all around and their experiences . Welcome Misti , its always pleasure to read your comments . Mirela told me just few moments ago to read your post .. One thing i must say this PH belonging to the same community , knows the nerves of the people . , i have seen Sarita kind of woman and the backgrounds specially in small cities ,in conservative business class families where marriages are like business deals .

Divya is not involved here but indirectly she was dragged . .Why many indian woman stays in the marriage after getting physically and mentally abused ? . In conservative family mental set up is closed .
And Divya was quite young that time in impressionable age where she was attracted to Raj . If she would have been married in that family at that time , all the love would have been gone out of the window in that greedy family . Raj is weak person who can not take stand If had been strong ,would not have married Sarita and told her before the marriage about his love . Divya is different to him , she did not hide anything from Gaurav . Here comes your family background and your upbringing .
I think Gaurav,s mother wants Marriage early as Gaurav has to go to some conference in Genava , so she wants both of them to go together . Its not a big deal , many marriages happens within a week , i do not think DFivya is trophy for her , its Divya,s personality which impresses you as she is honest .

waiting for the story to unfold ,as Sarita,s outburst cleared many things ..If she was convinced about Raj thats why she was happy and waiting for him at her wedding night .
For me its not the Actors , its the characters , i am interested.
Sarita , Divya both are strong character . Agree with Misti , Raj is her husband , and desperation takes you to any extent sometimes , when you are taunted , compared daily with soap,s Dil .

Sonia based on what they have shown until now, compared to Raj Gaurav does appear to be a much more grounded and mature character. Since he is more wordly wise he might be a better match for Divya than Raj. It will be interesting to see how long can Gaurav maintain his patience and understanding if he has to constantly deal with this person called Raj in this relationship. Truthfully I don't want Divya to enter into any relationship right now. She has still not got over Raj and his presence is still there in her mind and heart. I will prefer for her to give some time to herself and do whatever she needs to do to get a closure. After that if she wants to then enter into any relationship...but she should enter into one because she wants to and not because others want her to. If her siblings and their spouses really love and understand her then they should give her that much space and time and not rush her into marriage.

I do accept that the character of Raj and Divya are still in shadow and the creatives do need to throw some light into their characterisation.

yes the line suits divya very much as divya tried running away from her past after she got to know about raj and saritas marriage but still it is coming behind her like a beetal( vikram betal). SHe has toface it an dit is the harsh truth of life.

Well in sbb they said that sarita will fall in love with gaurav and that they will marry at the end

Your comparison of the past to betal is very intersting.😆 They used to show Vikram-betal on doordarshan long time back and the episodes always used to end with Vikram heaving a sigh of relief that the betal has finally gone only to realise that it is back on his shoulder grinning away to glory and taking him on another chase.😆 Now I have this image of Sarita behind Divya taking her on a chase to solve all the problems in her life.
