The TRIO of PV2'.Divya-Raj-Sarita
The story is unfolding but we have seen glimpses of these characters. Yes, there are many questions yet to be answered. But what can we gleam from what we have seen'These is a compilation of various thought of different individuals..
1) Divya: A girl, probably in her late teens, suddenly loses both her parents, and is left with a responsibility of 2 younger siblings who are not old enough to take care of themselves. She now has to be a parent/guardian to them. Goes looking for a job and lands one in Mumbai. Sacrifices her love, her dreams, her aspirations and takes care of her young siblings, educates them, makes sure they are married and well settled with their respective life partners and then, and only then thinks about her own life, her own marriage, her own dream (in spite of being the eldest). Divya's memory of Raj was frozen in time and she expected him to be exactly as she left him. This shows her strength of character'.her sense of responsibility and her priority.
She is clear in her thought and fair to the others too. Just the way she took decisions for her siblings, she also gives them the freedom to do good for her. There is an all-around personality. In love she is possessive, and felt hurt that Raj had indeed married, but she has no intentions to get back into his life. Now that she came to realize Raj is married and settled and moved on (but does not know that Raj is in a loveless marriage and not forgotten her), decides to do the same. Again we see her strength in being honest with Gaurav. Liked the fact that she expressed honestly to Gaurav about her past. Justice is done to her character.
2) Raj: The character of Raj has started to open up. Few episodes ago, we saw him say clearly that he was forced into an unwanted marriage; he stood his ground and said that he cannot move ahead with Sarita. But he spoke for her and told the family members to stop this ill treatment given to Sarita. It was known to everyone that he was not interested in this marriage, nor is anyone in his family bothered about his happiness.
Yesterday, we saw another aspect of him, where he wants to know what is the penalty for leaving someone high and dry in a railway station 10 years back, and the penalty for the same person today who is piercing his heart by going ahead in her life with someone else. Very evident that though he has turned into a hard hearted person he still has feelings for Divya. So his character is definitely taking shape. Today we again saw in flashbacks that he was devasted after Divya left him'gave up on his dreams. Does he resent Divya now? What will be his reaction when he comes face to face with Divya?
3). Sarita is the only unexplained character but who is getting sympathy and may not be fully justified. We know less of her reasons. What we know is that may be she secretly loved Raj and was willing to marry, in spite of knowing (overheard the conversation before marriage) that he loved someone else. May be she thought he will change, she will be able to change him. That has not happened in 10 years, so why did she not move on? And why was she shocked when the talk came up about her punar vivah? The MIL does throw darts at her, but Sarita is not a meek bahu and can fight back. Today she comes to know who the person in Raj's life was. What will be her reaction? How will she deal with her. Her character to me is to yet evolve as well.
Let's see how these three characters in the story evolve and how they each will deal with the unexpected/ unwanted turn of events in their lives'
Whose Punar viavah will it be?
