Another interesting of getting deeper into what is being shown.
Mrinal dream came through after having a conversation regarding the sword.
It has affected her more than she herself knows.
But it's PV affected or it's it just the eyes.
Thank you Da❤️

This was an interesting episode. It showed Prithvi's need to protect Malwa at the same time douse the fire in Mrinal. He wants minimum damage and asks Mrinal for a duel first telling using Mahamanav is against war rules. Mrinal says Malwa shouldnt talk about war rules. The problem of Mrinal is she is stuck at that time. Singdutt was the cause of whatever rule that was broken, not Prithvi and in her need to revenge Malwa she is not recognizing she is becoming exactly like the Malwa she so very much hates.

She sends Mahamanav and Prithvi deals with him intelligently. It shows when you have physical strength on most occasions you lack basic common sense, which is utilized by Prithvi and co to distract the Mahamanvaas and kill them. When Mrinal broke rules she didnt understand Prithvi to can do the same and he forces her for a duel. She challenges and tell dont think she is a woman. I loved the scene where Mrinal's hair fall on Prithvi's face. Under normal circumstances he had to be disracted but he isnt and he defeats her. It also showed how much Malwa's protection is important to Prithvi.

Problem of Manyakhet is only increasing and Mrinal in her revenge is unable to understand the degeneration that is happening in her family. King Tailap is bringig Kosha and keeping her in royal guest house. It is the humilation of highest order for Jakkala when Tailap tells Kosha gives pleasure to people who doesnt get it from their loved ones. Tailap doesnt understand whatever faults Mrinal and Jakkala have in their hearts they always want the best for Tailap. Jakkala was a worried wife when Tailap was captured. She might drown herself in alchohol still she is a wife who too expects love from her husband. When Tailap insults Jakkala that she has not been able to give him pleasure, he also needs to think what he has given to her as a husband. Has he given her the emotional security a woman craves for. Unfortunately no and everything boils down to the revenge of Mrinal. When she is trying to break Malwa her home is burning. Kosha the doormat is now in royal guest house, where will be her next step. She very well knows how to seduce the king and pamper his ego. The dulhan ka jhoda doesnt looks like just a dream any more. Kosha has cut her path, her path to throne. Let us see where she reaches and what all get destroyed in Tailap's craze for doormat Kosha.

One of the most beautiful dialogue I heard this week was climate is changing it can be adverse or beneficial to us by Mrinal who sees both the possiblities of change. Kallari telling climate change is beneficial to them, they need to bring opponents to their jungle and Bhoj telling climate is changing if they use boats nothing can stop them from entering Malwa and they need alterante strategy. It showed Kallari sees Malwa's strength, but Bhoj sees its weakness and thinks of plugging the weakness. He is the one who will make any benefit to Mrinal into adversity. Because he is able to see the weakness of the system with much more clarity.

@Renjana yes I have also felt Narayan many times letting me know my mistakes, on most occasions crushing my ego. He has made me understand his language so that I can understand what he is trying to tell me 😃

I personally would not use the word 'doormat' for Kosha
I don't see her as a mere 'prostitute' or 'another woman' but try to see her as a 'human' and understand her point of view as well

One thing I liked about Tailap-Jhakkala scene was that Jhakkala kept calling her a 'vaishya' and her home a 'kotha' while Tailap emphasized that brothel is her 'home' and like Mrinal he pointed it out that many 'innocent women' died in the fire who were more than mere 'prostitutes' they were 'humans'

I liked that the makers tried humanize the concept of 'prostitutes'...they are also humans and their profession shouldn't define their whole existence in my opinion

Kosha is wrong for sure for loving a married man while Tailap is wrong for loving another woman and Jhakkala is wrong coz she put the entire blame on Mrinal ...All three are wrong and yet i understand all of them to an extent, maybe Jhakkala more than the others coz it is easy for us to understand and feel pain of a married woman whose husband has an extra marital affair.

As a human and as a normal girl Kosha also has dreams, she wants to live a normal life, wants to experience what it feels like to be a married woman, part of a family and being a mother...That is perhaps what she wants

As a 'vaishya' she is expected to not have any of these things in her life...and is supposed to die like a 'vaishya' only coz for the world she is only that a mere 'vaishya'

So, i do understand her point of view..although we do know that she is wrong in falling for the married man

Now coming to Tailap...He is not in love with his wife and has fallen in love with Kosha whom he is not supposed to fall for...For him she is not a mere 'prostitute' but the woman he loves.

But again we know that he is wrong for falling in love when he is married to Jhakkala

Coming to Jhakkala - I understand her pain , her suffering and her angst..if she is bitter towards everyone then she has a very strong reason for that.

Jhakkala as a wife deserves to be loved, deserves to be respected and if she wants her husband to love her and care for her then I don't see anything wrong in this...In fact this is her right !

The only wrong thing which she did was burning down the brothel and putting the blame on Mrinal in front of Tailap otherwise she is not wrong in wanting her husband to love her.

So, yes all 3 are trapped in a very complex web of circumstances

Also as far as Kosha deliberately trapping Tailap so that she can become a queen is concerned..This is what i think - I think she does love him unconditionally..her love is not pretense but yes she would want to marry him and we might see more shades for her...I also think that it will be Tailap who will take the step and ask her to become a queen...It is he who will give her that position rather than her asking for it...It is just my assumption and I might be wrong

Let's see where these 3 characters' story will take them.

@anshvi I have not called Kosha a doormat because of her profession or the fact that she is a prostitute. It is because of her way of doing things. When you tell Tailap is bringing her to royal guest house we need to understand why he does it, reason is the way Kosha pampers his male ego. All her dialogues of surrender, sacrifice in front of him and her own sublte hints to him on her need to be recognized puts her in a category who is capable of burning a klingdom for her wants.
Only difference is unlike Mrinal and Jakkala's fault lines Kosha's faultlines her ambition, her goal is not seen but felt.

And she gets the power because of the faultlines of Mrinal and Jakkala. Mrinal who is consumed by her revenge and unable to deftly show her brother the right and wrong of what he is doing and Jakkala who have the moral authority and if she can just bend down a bit to pamper Tailap's ego with some sweet nothings can throw out Kosha from his heart and society in a flash.

There was no need to destroy others for what Kosha was, is doing. And I dont see Kosha's love was unconditional, her conditions are not seen, but felt. She is not what she looks.

Shruthi

Okay understood why you called her doormat.

I personally can't call her a 'doormat' coz in this show most of the characters are flawed and they commit human mistakes and that is what makes them very real

We have a king who is in love with a courtesan

A courtesan who is in love with a king who is married

A queen who can burn down a brothel and put the whole blame on her husband's sister

A princess who can kill many innocents to avenge her parents' death

In Malwa we have a king who massacred a family and lives with the guilt

and another one on who can plan to kill his own brother

So, for me none of these characters are black or white but grey and complex and same goes for Kosha

Like i said we will definitely see more shades of Kosha for sure like we have and will continue to see shades of other characters..I won't be surprised if she will be mean to Jhakkala

But i also think that her love for Tailap is not pretense but genuine...i do think that she can die for him and i don't think her main aim is to become a queen and is using Tailap solely for that purpose

I think she does love Tailap and would want to be a part of the family and get accepted as Tailap's wife and his wife will be a queen..Kosha definitely would love to be a queen and be called Tailap's wife but it doesn't mean that her love for Tailap is a pretense.

I feel that Tailap is the one who will give her the position of the queen and for that to happen something major needs to happen.

I feel that Kosha will get pregnant and that will make Tailap give her the position of the queen..At least this is what i feel will happen..So, I do think that she will indeed become the queen

I also feel that Kosha might help PriNal in future when everyone will be against them coz she will understand the pain of forbidden love if she truly loves Tailap but that will happen much later I guess in season 2 when Prithvi will be imprisoned..Coz tunnel will come into play and Kosha is the one who knows about it apart from Masi and Tailap

and if she doesn't love Tailap then we will see a very different side of Kosha when and if she will becomes a queen.

So, before forming an opinion about her i would wait to see how her character will shape and her story will progress

Now this is what I think might happen and I might be wrong though since this is my assumption

Yes Mrinal should have spoken to Tailap and try to figure out what he really wants in love...She should have advised him..I also think this brothel burning issue will come into play

As far as Jhakkala is concerned I am not sure what she can or can not do to stop Tailap from loving Kosha...coz it seems that Tailap has never been in love with Jhakkala...If they were a couple of 21st century then would have taken divorce in my opinion but this is 9th century when rules and norms were quite different

Tailap is also not able to stop himself from visting Kosha coz he is deeply in love with her despite knowing that it is wrong

This is a very complex messy situation for everyone involved

At no point you see a different side of Kosha anshvi because she is a character like that, she will only be felt. Infact to a great extend Prithvi is also like that. His goal is felt, not seen. But when you see Prithvi, his actions you feel happy, but with Kosha you feel the exact opposite.
I respect a man or woman like Prithvi who have a deft way of doing things for a positive cause, it's a skill in itself and I aspire to do things like that.

And I run miles away or is wary of men and women like Kosha who has the ability to pull the carpet from under your feet for their needs and just walk on as if they are the most selfless people on earth. I keep myself away from them because for me proving them right or wrong is secondary, my own safety is most important as far as such characters goes. If you are trapped with such a character you are trapped for life because they are always victims, and always have the sob story to get sympathy or get their goals.

Shruthi

As I said for me all these characters are complex , flawed and grey and that is the beauty of the show

I personally wouldn't want most of these characters to be a part of my life in real 😆 be it Tailap (not as a husband) , Kosha , Jhakkala , Sindhu , Singhdant etc.

I simply love watching these flawed characters on my screen and I find them and their stories intriguing and that is why I love watching PV...I love watching such complex characters who sometimes do stuff which is wrong and sometimes right..rather than pure white or pure black characters I prefer grey characters

I also try to watch what creatives and writers want to depict in the show...I don't perceive things but try to see what creatives and writers' vision is ..So far I think she might have desires but her love for Tailap is genuine

So, as of now for me Kosha is flawed and grey like other characters of the show

Shruthi di what u wrote about Prithvi n kosha
I had once told exactly the same thing to Anshvi in Ashish's AT.
I am happy u too see the similarities and difference between Prithvi n Kosha, if u are saying then there must be something n I wasn't overthinking 😆

I am a little busy, I'll post my thoughts on all your analysis Tomo pakka n will copy paste what I had written to anshvi long back abt PV n Kosha n Tailap n Mrinal

Also Shruthi di when Kallari mentioned about him leaving Mrinal n also the scene where he was painting where Kallari told him that painting shouldn't cause damage they kingdom or when Rashnidhi mentioned abt Mrinal, he has void in his eyes, as in neither pain, neither excitement, irritating etc it's like he doesn't feel anything on Mrinal's name being mentioned.
On the other hand Mrinal gets so much effected hearing his name. She even dreams abt him. N from Prithvi's side we got nothing, once we got an FB but again he had void emotions in his eyes. Its easy to tell what Mrinal's thinking or will do, but u can't decipher what PV will do or what are his thoughts or emotions.

I don't see attraction in his eyes seeing Mrinal during fight sequence as well, when her hair fell on his face , he got distracted(after long saw some kind of attraction) for a second but then got back to normal..Is it that he's out of love, But his actions speak otherwise 🤔

@Shruthi agree with u about Kosha
I felt something wrong with her since week one
She is not what she looks like
Neither did I feel the love btw Taliap-Kosha
It's a relationship of need
Appears more lust than love
Like u mentioned Taliap's ego gets pampered
and Kosha gets attention
Jakkala doesn't know how to handle it
Mrinal doesn't care

@Aditi that was one interesting point made
I too wondered about Prithvi's expression when Mrinal is mentioned
we saw his attraction, fascination when he first saw her
now it's neither
It seems he has set aside his feeling for time being
or doesn't want to ponder upon it
when they met during war
I felt it was more of a concern from him
(after all he saw her pain when she played the Veena
and SD also has let him know atleast part of the past I guess)
he is seeing a hurt child in Mrinal
who is ignorantly hurting herself further and others in the process of Revenge
If u see even during fight he went easy on her
not that he thought "after all a women"
but bcos he thought that this women needs some healing
but then when she managed to provoke him he fought back with might
He was concerned for a while when she fell unconscious
as u mentioned but then he held himself
Also he is bound by the promise he made to SD
and aware of Kallari's concerns too
