Rajesh Kumar, better known as Roshesh of Star One's hit comedy Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai, is a popular face who took the audience on a rib-tickling journey with his insane, witty and humorous accent and dialogues in the above show.

And today, the actor has captivated the audiences by way of his portrayal as the comic vampire Dara Koyla in SAB TV's Pritam, Pyaare Aur Woh.

Talking about the project that paved way to fame, he states, "When I was offered to essay Roshesh, I felt like I was being offered a gold mine as I had just got married then. Since those were the days I was out of work, I had no choice but to take up this role. I opted for a cameo as I liked the innocence of the character. Roshesh was not dumb, he was nave. With me adding my own flavor and humour, I am proud to see that my character is still alive in the hearts of millions though it has been a decade since the show aired."

When he speaks about his character Roshesh being immortalized, Rajesh is on another level. He goes back in time to cherish the memories when he visited Zambia in Africa where he encountered a set of Indians whose children still follow the show on social networking sites.

And now the versatile actor is happy to take up the character of Dara Koyla as it is naturally scary, and not an attempt to scare people with the overuse of fancy costumes and cosmetics.

"I am thoroughly satisfied with the content the show has to offer as it is horror of the real kind clubbed with situational comedy. It is not slapstick humour which derogates others, nor is it caricaturist or a scoop. Though a unique attempt, it is a difficult one too as it is not easy to scare people and make them laugh at the same time," he states.

The talented actor, who has also been seen playing emotional roles, is of the opinion that he hates doing roles that are an improper characterization and are a mere supporting talent to the lead in a show.

Commenting on it, Rajesh adds, "I know of people who offer me roles asking if I would want to play a father or a brother of the lead. At that time the only question that comes to mind is what is my role as a supporting actor supposed to be like'?"

"I remember while I was shooting for Baa Bahu Baby, producer Aatish Kapadia used to inform me about my upcoming track. I used to even request him not to refer to it as a track as usually a track which was spoken for 10 days ended up being shown only for 3 days," Rajesh adds.
