Part XI

Acharya insulted and disheartened came back to Taxila only to have an open shikha. Chandra and others asked him what happened everytime but he didn't tell anything. Ambhi and Alex decided to attack Pauravdesha. When the news was given to Dhanananda he postponed his going to Pauravdesha and Nandini again got disheartened. But a hope was in her heart was alive that they might soon go to Taxila. In Taxila Pradhanacharya made students active against Alexander and Ambhi. Many months went by, Nandini was losing her hope day by day, the students in Taxila were being aggressive towards Ambhi more and more and Alexander with Ambhi had attacked Porus, the fight between Pauravraj and Alexander wasn't decisive but two older sons of Pauravraj died and Alexander's horse Bucephalus also died. There was no conclusion coming to the ambush and it.might happen that Alexander might lose. Fearing this and thinking what face will he show to his people back in Makedon, he asked his allies Shashigupta and Pauravraj's former friend Mereos (Meru) to bring Porus to negotiation table. Pauravraj agreed and when the two kings met Alexander asked , so how should I treat you Porus? After the translation Porus said "Like a King treats a King". Alexander was highly impressed with his bravery and intellect. They all came to negotiation table. The treaty was made and Pauravraj not only retained his lands but Alexander also added some of ambhi's lands to him greatly distressing Ambhi but he ensures Pauravraj to marry his beautiful daughter to Ambhi whom he eyed very much. Pauravraj half heartedly agreed to marry Kalyani with Ambhi though he was legally married to two princesses already. All these negotiations now made Alexander wanting to cross Vipasa and face Nandas.

After two years

Alexander had left as he couldn't or wouldn't want to face Dhan Nanda and with negotiations with his Generals he left but placed Satraps in regions he had influence on. Pauravraj and Ambhi were called Phil Satraps (friendly Satraps).

The graduation ceremony was going on in Taxila University. Everyone was overjoyed as now the boys will enter Grihasth Ashram and do jobs, get married and start their families except few who still were greatly distressed with presence of Yavana Satraps who occassionally did atrocities and even took beautiful native women in their harems and Ambhiraj would allow it.

In Magadha

Nandini was sitting alone in her room, without joy, without any happiness. She thinks it's been two years now you have graduated. Don't you miss your home? Your mother, sister , Durdhara? I know you won't be missing me but I miss you very much. I don't have much time now, I need to meet you and stop you from marrying any girl before it's too late. I myself won't be able to hold my marriage any longer. Suddenly Nandini's mother entered the room, she said my dearest daughter, we are going to Pauravdesha. Nandini said Pauravdesha? But why mother? She said you will know soon. For years you have been wanting to go in that region. So be it. Nandini said but Maa I wanted to go to Taxila not Pauravdesha. She said Pauravdesha is neighbouring kingdom of Taxila. You cal also visit there as now the two kingdoms have a matrimonial alliance. Nandini was overjoyed. Thank you mother and she hugged her. Nandini thinks, Chandra, I am coming and she touched her necklace.

In Maya GuruMaa'a ashram, Maya said Girls now there is only few months and you all will have your studies completed. Durdhara, my dearest student, you have been exceptional, not only you learnt music, dance ,elegant walking style but also shastras. Girls, I am very glad that we are going to Pauravdesha on the occasion of birth of a son of Pauravraj's daughter Kalyani and Ambhiraj. Ambhiraj will also be there for the festivities. We have been invited to give a dance performance as our school is one of the best multiskilled schools in jambudwipa. Durdhara thought, Pauravdesha? It's closer to Taxila, I might meet Chandra. Chaya also was very happy. Durdhara thinks I am coming Chandra.

Great waiting for your views on the story, also the upcoming chapters are really interesting. 😉 The real story starts now. All the chapters till now were the base of the story and introduction of the characters and their dynamics with each other. Something which Pracchanda Ashok should have done. I will try to complete it before the show ends. Otherwise the forum will be locked and the fanfiction will remain incomplete.😢

The real story will start now, Chandhara and Chandini shippers will be served in upcoming chapters. Also imagine you favourite actors in characters, that my enhance the story reading 😁

Still has till May, I guess. But, of course, the characters in PA were left to interpretation. 1 thing I noted in KA was that they kept introducing characters in the show even 3 months after, and each were well defined and at least given an introduction. Other Ekta shows, I forgot as they were all forgettable. Any other Indian shows, I don't remember, unless it's Sarabhai vs Sarabhai which I watch from time to time at any random day with any random episode. So my point of reference is KA for any other Indian show, which I know seems repetitive.

But still, Balaji, a reputed and apparently the OG PH in Indian shows, making such a rookie move, that's an embarrassingly a middle class act. Were there no auditor of the show?

I will also read it like my Wattpad books and ask questions and give it a review.

I guess they wanted the show to fail miserably 😒 but in the process she made other PHs scared to produce historicals 😡💔 The revival of historicals is now very difficult, hope again some PH will show courage to produce a historical but not without research like this PH did with Pracchand Ashok 💔

Creative liberty is not bad, I took it myself but atleast keep the core characters intact 😡

Part XII

Nandini was very excited to go to Pauravdesha. She was ordering her daasis to pack her bags with great enthusiasm. Her Mother thought does she know why are we going there? Does she know we again intend to marry Kumar Malayketu with her? She seems really happy. My darling daughter, your smile is like an angel. Never be unhappy. I am sure your future husband will love you very deeply.

Swarna shouted Chandragupta. He ran towards her. He said what happened? Acharya is going to Pauravdesha to meet Pauravraj. He said yeah I know. So? He wants us to go with him. Chandragupta was delighted. He said we have graduated now, I guess now my mission to become a king finally starts. Swarna said are you sure you want to become a king? You are a warrior, most you can become a senapati? How are you intending to become a king? Are you? She shyly said? Do you? Do you not want to enter grihasth ashram now? Chandragupta laughed, if I were a normal human being, right now I would go back to my home and marry my childhood sweetheart, my beloved Durdhara.

Swarna was shocked, she said Durdhara? You have mentioned her many times but never once we expected you intended to marry her. Why? You haven't met her in years. Chandragupta and Swarna sat under a tree and he said, Durdhara and I have a bigger bond than love. She is very sweet, intelligent, kind and she loves my mother. By marrying a stranger woman it's better to marry a person whom you know and your heart tells she's the one. I just want to become a king and then make her my beloved queen and intend to have a lot of kids. They both shared a laugh on that. Swarna said I am surprised but now I want to meet Durdhara. But if you become a king you will have to marry other women for alliances and surely, countless women will be around you wanting your favours, then what? He said I really didn't think of that but let's keep future for future, let's have our goal first. Now you tell me, when are you and Shashank are gonna get married? Did he propose you yet?

She smiled , he didn't propose me yet, Acharya sent him to somewhere else and he didn't tell us where, it's his hidden secret and even if he proposed me I would reject him. Chandra said , come on, don't tear that poor boy's heart or are you ambitious and wants to marry only a prince as your father was a king and you don't think Shashank is good enough for you. Swarna now irritated said do you think I am that petty? Chandra said I don't know, why reject him? Swarna said it's because I want to marry you.

Chandra shocked and got up, swarna said relax, I am not kidnapping you, sit down. He sat down shockingly. I didn't think another girl was in your heart, that one too whom you haven't met for years. Will you? Will you marry me also after becoming the king? I will be happy to be your another wife , even a concubine, suddenly he shut her mouth with his hands.

Chandra said you are worthy of much more than a mere concubine. I don't know, marriage is not in my focus right now, I took Durdhara's name because I have deep respect for her and have an emotional bond which no woman can make with me. If you don't want to marry Shashank that's your decision but I will not make any promises with you. It's better you think wisely. Swarna said atleast promise me always to be my friend. Chandra smiled, I promise and he tapped her head. Now let's go and he ready to go to Pauravdesha, we have some asses to kick. He smirked and she smiled.

Maya was ready with the girls to go to Pauravdesha for the event. As these were Gurukul girls, they were promised safety and honour by Pauravraj on birth of his grandchild.

Satrap Philipus and Eudemus were also going to be there. Two main targets of Chanakya and Chandragupta.

Part XIII

Chanakya, Chandragupta, Swarna and Akshay went to journey to Pauravdesha. There Nandini and Durdhara had already left so that they could reach for the event timely. Chandra and co. Were very excited as now their mission of Yavana mukt Vahik Pradesh would start. Chanakya was still very angry with the insult and also Dhan Nanda not helping Vahik Pradesh when it needed his support the most which resulted in death of countless men, women, children and even babies and many more were captured and sent to Yavana deshas and Ajadesha as slaves. Chandra said Acharya what's your yojna? He said our Plan is to create rift between Pauravraj and Ambhi and make them insult Dhan Nanda. I have heard Dhan Nanda is intending to take Paurav's Amatya's daughter Suhasini as concubine. Swarna said what? Isn't he like in his 50s? How many concubines he needs? He already has plenty of them in his Antahpura. Chanakya said I know but that lecherous creature just can't understand there are much bigger problems in the world. I also got to know he is intending to marry Malayketu with Nandini. Chandra got shocked at this news. He said oh so ahankari Rajkumari is gonna marry ahankari Rajkumari, ishwar milayi jodi they are. Swarna and Akshay laughed. Swarna asked is she that egoist? Chandra said you won't believe how awfully egoist she is and she is always partner in crime with her father. I can only hope she is keeping my Durdhara well. Chanakya turned, Akshay and Swarna smiled. Chandra said I meant my friend Durdhara acharya, my friend. Chanakya was like Yeah I know son, your friend. They all shared a smile.

Part XIV

Everyone was gathered at the palace of Pauravraj, Ambhiraj, his young wife Kalyani, their newly born son, Satrap Philipus, Satrap Eudemus etc. Suddenly an announcement was made "Magadha pati Dhana Nanda apni Agramahishi aur Rajkanya Nandini ke sath Padhar rahe hai". Dhan Nanda with his family entered. Pauravraj personally came to greet the family along with Malayketu. Pauravraj and Dhan Nanda hugged each other while Nandini did pranam to everyone. Malayketu very affectionately greeted her and was admiring her beauty which made her uncomfortable. They all entered the palace.

From commoner's gate entered Maya, Durdhara, Chaya and other girls.

Chaya said look Durdhara, how awfully big this palace is. You have lived in a palace, are they usually this big? She smiled and said Magadha's palace is even bigger and grander. Maya and girls were taken to their rooms. Maya ordered the girls, girls tomorrow is our performance, give your best, Pauravraj should not think he did a mistake by inviting us. It's an honour he gave us invitation. Magadha Naresh, ambhiraja and other kings are here, even Yavanas, they should see how rich our culture is. Durdhara thought, Magadha Naresh? That means Nandini is also here? Oh no, what if her mother recognises me, well, she wouldn't remember a slave but still. I am sure if something goes wrong Nandini will save me. Also Chandra, I am really longing to see you. Can I go to Taxila and meet you. You have got graduated by now. Where are you? Hey ishwar, I am really longing to see Chandra, please do something and make us meet him.

Nandini in her own chamber

She said I have finally reached here, after tomorrow's event I will request Ambhiraj to make me see Taxila University. I want to meet Chandragupta as soon as possible and tell him about my feelings. She touched her necklace. Will you still remember me? She was talking to her necklace, do you still remember me as an Ahankari rajkumari? I hope you remember me.

Next day in morning

Chanakya, Chandragupta and others arrived and they were treated honourably as people from prestigious Taxila University, Acharya brought toppers with him of last session so they also got respect there.

Preparations were still happening in the palace and swarna and Akshay went to their respective rooms to read while Chandragupta after talking bath decided to roam around the palace and take key notes of the palace. Chanakya went to talk with his friend Indradutt, Mahamantri of Pauravraj.

Indradutt welcomed Chanakya. He said come Vishnu, it's been long time we haven't seen each other. But he met him half heartedly. He said what happened Vishnu, why so called greeting? Chanakya said how am I supposed to greet the person who is friends with Yavana aggressors. Indradutt Said I understand your feelings Vishnu, whatever happened, happened for the best. we will do something about it. No one is happy with presence of Philipus and Eudemus in Vahik Pradesh.

Chanakya said I have a plan but I need your help to execute it. Indradutt said How? Chanakya explained him his plan.

Chandragupta was roaming around and enjoying the beauty of the palace, Durdhara was also coming with chaya from the front but before he could see them he was called from behind, it was swarna. Swarna, phew what the hell? I was waiting for you to take rest then me and akshay will go with you on vihar but you are too selfish, you are roaming alone. Chandra smiled it's not like that. I thought you two would be resting. She said well Akshay is, so now you have only me, can we roam now? He smiled and said Sure and they started their palace watching.

Part XV

Chandra and Swarna were roaming around and they reached palace gardens. Swarna said look Chandra, a rose, how beautiful. Chandra laughed and said Swarna you are a warrior yet you admire such things. Swarna said Chandra when a person is in love, he or she usually admires such things. Chandra blushed as he knew she was talking about her love for him. Swarna irritated, why you always start blushing? Remember you have to become a king, will you start blushing when your concubines will lie that they love you solely to get pregnant with a prince. Chandra said stop it swarna, a King's work is way different than that, atleast a good king's work definitely is, swarna laughed and said, I was just making a joke, I was teasing you. Chandra said don't be sorry because I am in love, Swarna shocked and said With whom? Durdhara? He said No, I am in love with my motherland and this garden is part of it so I am also gonna admire it and he went to smell that rose and suddenly stated sneezing, swarna laughed and laughed, she said yeah, look how beauty kills 🤣

Nandini was in her chamber standing on her window when she suddenly saw Chandra and Swarna in the garden. She was terribly surprised and she gasped, Chandra? And with a girl? Oh no , it's bad and so bad , she ran towards the garden as fast as possible, she couldn't believe she could run that fast, she was bared lega a rose's thorn pricked her leg but she kept running, blood were coming from her feet but she still ran towards the garden. Chandra and Swarna were still having fun there. Suddenly Nanidni came running there but before she could shout his name Malayketu grabbed her from behind, he said, Rajkumari why are you in this situation? Your legs , they are bleeding. Nandini said sorry rajkumar but I am in hurry, I need to meet someone, she saw Chandra and Swarna still talking. Nandini was about to shout when Malayketu forcibly took her in his arms, Nanidini angry, put me down Rajkumar. Malayketu said, sorry for my indecency but you need medical care or else it might cause infection. Nandini shouted but I need to meet someone, please put me down but he forcibly took her away. She saw Chandragupta fading from her eyes. She started crying.

As Swarna and Chandragupta entered the palace again they saw two Yavanas talking with each other, Chandra and Swarna started listening from far away, trying to show they were part of their staff.

Philip - So you know Seleucus killed Pedicus?

Eudemus - How unloyal of his , so he captured Babylon?

Philip - Yes, with help of General Ptolemy

Eudemus - Wish we could take part in Diadochis wars then serving here, I cannot understand the customs here, even my concubines don't make me happy.

Philip- Yeah wish we could bring our own people here but the sentiments against us are so strong we might not afford it, suddenly he needed another glass of wine. He said to Chandra, hey you, bring me another glass.

Chandra got furious but he wanted to listen to their conversation more, so he humbly came with two wine glasses. And he willingly dropped one so that he could listen more closely

He said Sorry my lords, terribly sorry, Philip slapped him, you idiot foolish brat, don't you have manners, Chandra became angry but he gulped it to save himself, he put out his upper cloth and started cleaning the mess.

Eudemus - Don't waste your energy on them, wo what were you saying Seleucus captured Babylon, i have heard he didn't abandon his persian wife, what's her name? Yeah Apama.

Philip- yup, what a fool in love, mating with barbarians, I guess he did it so that he could capture Persia, Chandra was closely listening to the conversation, the Satraps thought Chandra couldn't understand them

Eudemus - I have also heard Apama has given birth to her second daughter, what's her name....I ...... don't...

Chandra was about to go away when Eudemus said

Oh Yeah..... Helena.....

The name unknowingly stopped Chandragupta, suddenly he felt very weird, his heart started fluttering and he smiled unknowingly and without any senses of his words he smilingly said Helena, what a pretty name. Suddenly he realised what he said and felt really stupid, he said What just happened? But he brushed it off and went to Swarna...
