Yes he did...but Ekta won't show Ashock's intimacy with them directly or indirectly. In JA they avoided Jalals scenes with other wives after he fell in love.
Even in Vishkanya or Atifa track they justified he didn't get physical with anyone.

History isn't and those Kings, Emperors and conquerors were anything but perfect. Just to show a love story 1 man = 1 woman they're distorting history. Devi didn't have any competition for at least 6-8yrs of her union (some say they were, some weren't married) with Ashoka. It was only after and she didn't want to be part of the politics or see him with others, thus decided to stay back in Ujjain. And apparently she never went to Patliputra. It's sad seeing their love story tarnished and reduced to such a nonsensical story in the show!!
Ashoka, Jalal, Chandragupta, Bindusara and even Shahjahan all had multiple wives and those movies and shows just straight up are hell bent on making them the villain with many "affairs" before their "transformation" toward a monogamistic lifestyle and loyalty towards only 1 of them. If they have to write such a story, we have the story of Chandra/moon with his 27 wives, where he spent the most time with one of his favorite wives.

Loyalty? Kings weren't supposed to be loyal. Very few could afford to be truly loyal, it's not like we don't have examples of such great kings who stayed loyal to one woman but mostly they had to marry many times for Rajya Vistar and different strategies. Its not like they always wanted to betray their first wives but whatever. For love there were concubines, they married princesses mostly for alliances or if some princess was exceptionally beautiful.

Asandhimitra was his beloved even then he had a daughter named Charumati was an unnamed concubine and gave her to Asandhimitra as Asandhi couldn't conceive due to some health issues 😢
By the way, did you notice in yesterday's episode, that there was like a big cut when Ashok met Pawan in the forest or something like that after he met with Karu? Also, what was She doing in Anandi's room when she had her own room, where she went back just a while after?
Also, the SR, that was awkward, I mean, the ONS in KA was better, at least they didn't have any upper garments! Here they had it all, jewelry, tank top, shawl/dupatta, when they were cuddling in the aftermath of it. And when Ashok jumped out of bed, with his dhoti still intact. I'm confused as to what kind of SR it was.
Devi practically begging for their "milan", an almost reluctant Ashok, as if he didn't know he was going to do it, like I want to ask Eku and the writers: why so cold and platonic???

What did you expect from ITV?
When Jodha Akbar had SR...Jalal was still in his Anghrakha and Jodha was in her lahenga choli...even dupatta was pinned well
It's very evident they used BD for Jodhaa' s scene and next day Paridhi gave an interview that they did use BD because I heard her in laws were unhappy with intimate scenes
