The vishkanya thing is ekta's trademark to bring trps. But this show is still so dull that even vishkanya cant save it. cant find anything likable rather than Devi. Not even lead couple having chemistry yet. Sigh! These two are into my favs list from ITV actors. Feels bad to see them trapped in it.

Ohh damn it what a reaction. Am cautrious while mentiioning that show cause that one has a huge fanbase. Dont know why?... I barely watched that show Uff her bhasans!! we used to say that Akbar should bring her Jodha begum to battle ground... her bhasans would be enough to kill lots of enemies..here looks like Kaurwaki in way to become Jodha Begum 2

@BoldBlack: Yup, Devi seems the only sensible character and good actor there, eclipsing Mallika and Adnan!
@BoldBlue: Here only for Adnan, but he's a disappointment in here!!! To say, I watched Katha Ankahee like 4 times already, because it's a different show and the whole show was soo good with great actors!!! Mallika, well, RadhaKrishn is playing on TV here in Mauritius, but I rarely watch it, but she seems like a rather calm actress, and maybe being angry doesn't suit her, somehow!

Exactly the storyline is naagin series plots.😂😂 ekta doesnt know to change even this wedding bridal swap methods . Always the same as in her stories. Wind blows, lights off, bride or groom swap, face covered😂 can’t stop my laugh from laughing, 😅😅😅. But one good thing in ektas series is that she choose great actors for the cast , specially the male leads. They are wonderful. But female leads only some of them are appreciated . But i donno one thing, why is she is trying to change the history. The great ashokas history is already mind blowing. Why she is changing the story of the history. This is not justice to the history. Ekta kapoor must be aware of the audience that they very well know the history , she mustn’t try to fool the audience with these type of illogical nonsense stories. Im sad for adnan, such a good and great actor has choosen this foolish story line, he deserves something more better than this. He must assigned for a real history of ashoka instead of this new serial creation. The only best thing in this show is adnan is occupying the audience hearts as emperor ashoka. Didn't watch Naagin as such, but whenever I see Ektas doing a historical show, I know it's going to be a bad 1. The same masala grabbing suspense and tactics. She needs to learn new tricks.
I agree that the original story is already great enough without any plot changes or drama effects.
I'm sad for Adnan too, but he chose this. However, his acting in this isn't bringing out the great actor he is. His acting level dropped!! I am watching the show just for him and because I loved both Aditi and Adnan in it. So whatever I say in reference to his character as Ashok is after I consider both the good and the bad sides. His hindi he should improve and I saw some improvement in the last 2 episodes. He should be clear in his pronunciations and when doing angry scenes, especially while shouting. However I hate his shouting scenes and when he's being overly comical, he looks the worse on them, especially the invitation around the village scene. But he was OK in it. As for the looks of Ashoka, he should maintain an upright spine and only lowering his head slightly or his eyes when the needs requires him to and not bend his head to the person he's talking to. He looks better in the princely garbs or with a red tika than a black 1. Last thing, I just hate his shouting scenes in this show. I'm a great fan of Adnan after Katha Ankahee but I wouldn't lie and would call a spade a spade when needed.
Mallika comes across a know it all in hindi as she's been given a shudh hindi script and all others are have a varied level of hindi spoken from person to person. Why not everyone speaks the same level of hindi to even it out? And she could use some acting lessons, as she comes across too soft or even villager/uncouth like. Also, you're right, there's no chemistry between Kaurwaki and Ashok.
Devi is much better then Mallika in acting and character and chemistry with Adnan though!! Also, you may hate me for saying this, but she acts better than Adnan too here. But in Katha Ankahee, Adnan and Aditi both surpassed her level of acting.
