If he appears to be older than Ashoka, I don't know but if he appears to be younger than Ashoka, maybe it's his younger brother Tishashoka (hope I remembered his name right).

That's the loophole in storytelling, no connection, half of the characters don't even have names. He calls Dharma Rani Ma not Ma so he definitely isn't Vittashoka. 😒Who is he? Ashok's best friend was cavalry commander Tushaspha who was Bactrian Greek man. They were very close and he bestowed upon him governorship of Saurashtra and even the title of Raja.

Do u really thing Ekta had done so much research? She will produce Naagin -8 in a name of Ashok. When we were in school I used to watch Chandragupta Maurya where Manish Wadhwa played Chanakya. He was undoubtedly the best among all. Only sane historical romance Ekta produced was Jodha Akbar and though the director was a unquestionable character in real but was a good director... Adnan is a good actor but He is too soft to potray Chandashoka. To potray His Devanam Piyadasi Rajashri look They need to show his ruthlessness which Adnan is not able to potray....

Point 1 - Ekta wants to show the casualness and how effortlessly Ashoka can be, like a sense of the highly exaggerated sense of "style", "swag" and "heroism" our modern generation thrives on.

Point 2 - Same here, watched him only in Katha Ankahee where he was great, maybe 1 or 2 things could have been improved, but felt it was just great compared to other hindi shows. Both Adnan and Aditi said that their director's guidance is what elevated their acting skills. I don't know if needing a good director makes him a higher than average actor nevertheless or that the direction is actually bad and doesn't care. But it's just sad hearing bad reviews and comments on Adnan at this point. I would just wish him good luck though.

Not sure how such a great and ruthless Emperor be so casual on war ground 😂 If it was some fictional character, then they can portray him as they want but this definitely is not in good light!

Director and his vision plays a big role be it tv series (KA) or movies. They mould the way simple things are shown on screen and that makes a lot of difference I feel !! Here director seems casual and is not putting in efforts to make scene better.

Adnan is ok ok but he isn't able to emote pain of Ashok of his dad hating him, he does not understand he doesn't hate him at all 😒 Imagine's show was a beautiful historical fiction minus Durdhara's story. Durdhara was such a foolish, loud and atrocious character she made Chandra looked like a fool.

Dharma mentioned his siblings are in Nanihal, Ashok had a Bactrian Greek friend (or possibly a relative) who was his cavalry commander and a very trusted close friend. His mention is made by Rudradaman as Yavanraja Tushaspha who ruled over Saurashtra for Ashok.

Exactly the director is very lackluster in storytelling, looks like Ekta wants this project to fail

Yes but instead of a fictional friend , they should have shown one of his siblings being there for him and supporting him !!

@bold- how much I agree to those lines.I was watching Y'days episode....and felt when the makers are trying to show the brutality of Ashoka then where is that ruthlessness in his eyes and body language while killing his enemies. That eating of apple made it more worse. Only those stares and a sudden smirk and surma clad eyes is not going to help.Moreover he might not have the outfit of a prince but there must be an aura of a would be king/ emperor.I'm not finding anything like that.The makers/director wants to show him his brutality and ruthlessness but sadly that part of Ashok is not coming across.I could only see Ashok as a abandoned child who is broken from inside....not a ruthless/ brutal one.The "Prachhand Ashok" part is missing for sure.
