Both the leads need to improve a lot !! Specially Adnan, his expressions are not helping bring the required intensity to the scenes. Eating apple during a war scene made it look more comical than swag 😂

To be honest RT would have been great choice in portraying historical figures. Adnan is terrible in expression especially in emotional scenes. I can't imagine him as Emperor Ashok. Chanakya is also overacting Chakravartin Ashoka ka chanakya was great.

I haven't seen Chakravartin Ashoka series. Agree to your point of Adnan's emotional scenes, I have seen Katha Ankahee and Adnan was fine for most of it except emotional/outburst scenes. He has no control of his facial expressions during those scenes. Looking at the promos/snippets of Pracchand Ashok, the channel shared before, I have started believing Adnan's words of "90% of credit to Viaan's character goes to Ravi Bhushan" !!

What's happening with Adnan here?! "Eating apple during a war" seems totally Ekta here. I listened to the BGM this morning, it was like electrical guitar and rock like music. I felt cringe only listening to that!!! Tell Ekta to stop recycling modern BGMs for historical shows, total cringe-fest! I just hope Adnan knows what he's doing and not going 5 steps back in his acting career! I'm a big stand of Adnan from just Katha Ankahee and watched his interview of him saying how bad he was in the beginning. And is the director even a good 1, as for Katha Ankahee they said if the direction is good even the acting would be good.

It's putting me off watching the show altogether tbh. I've planned to watch all the episodes in the weekend.

Not sure of the director but as of now, he isn't doing that great with the episodes. War scene looked so artificial with bad vfx, Samrat taking a snack break in between, holding apple in one hand and killing enemies with other 😂

Point 1 - Ekta wants to show the casualness and how effortlessly Ashoka can be, like a sense of the highly exaggerated sense of "style", "swag" and "heroism" our modern generation thrives on.

Point 2 - Same here, watched him only in Katha Ankahee where he was great, maybe 1 or 2 things could have been improved, but felt it was just great compared to other hindi shows. Both Adnan and Aditi said that their director's guidance is what elevated their acting skills. I don't know if needing a good director makes him a higher than average actor nevertheless or that the direction is actually bad and doesn't care. But it's just sad hearing bad reviews and comments on Adnan at this point. I would just wish him good luck though.

I don't know dude, haven't started watching the show yet. I'll binge watch everything in the weekend. I don't like watching 1 episode per day, I get bored.

If he appears to be older than Ashoka, I don't know but if he appears to be younger than Ashoka, maybe it's his younger brother Tishashoka (hope I remembered his name right).
