This post is based on the most underrated actresses of Bollywood. In this case, I mean all those actresses who had the capability to gain awards and recognition, but despite their amazing acting skills they are often missed out from various lists or do not even get signed for movies.

So share who do you think are the most underrated actresses of Bollywood?

I know the list can be long, so if can limit it to your Top-5 😃

Konkana Sen...She has such amazing acting skills, but how often she's in movie? Probably her dark skin and her attitude to not hide that tone is the problem.

Kangana Ranaut. She's amazing, brilliant, and absolutely intelligent and brilliant. However probably BW is used to typical actresses with not so bright actresses...however things might change for her, and i seriously hope so.

And who was the actress in swades with srk? she's brilliant, though i havent heard much of her.

Right now, i can think of only these women.

1) URMILA Matondkar -Most Underrated. She deserved way lot more recognition/acclaim/fame than she got.

2) Tabu

3) Sushmita Sen

4) Manisha Koirala

5) Konkona Sen

I agree! Konkona and ESP. Urmila are the most underrated actresses of Bollywood.

I still so much wish to see Urmila on screen. She's one greatly talented-versatile actress/dancer. She can pull off any kinda role.

LOL, Katrina ain't underrated at all. You gotta be kidding 😆😛

In today's actresses i think Kangana is very much underrated, also Asin to some extent.

From current lot

Mahi Gill - Amazing actress. Now gets side-lined doing shitty item numbers

Konkona Sen Sharma - Been around for 10 years now. Barely known

Kangana Ranaut - Not as much as those 2 above. She atleast gets noticed

From Past

Tabu - but yet very popular.

Urmila - Another known actress

Manisha - Probably was part 3 hits in her career

Seema Biswas - Bandit Queen/Khamoshi fame.

OH Yeah! I totally forgotten about Smita Patil. She is very underrated too, but i guess in her time (80s), people mostly liked the masala movies of Hema-Rekha with peppy songs-sexy scenes-dumb comedy. Her movies were hit, but she never got that recognition-fame as Rekha-Hema she deserved.

Talking of Smita Patil, i guess 'Fire' actress Nandita Das is also very much underrated. You remember/know Nandita? she acted with Shabana in movie Fire 1996.
