As per this July 18 2002 TOI article, she was 18 year old second year BCom student during the Miss India Competition. That means she is just 30 now.

(In August she would have been 19, which is the normal age for second year degree student)

It started with a dream. Millions of moments later, an 18-year-old, 5' 8'' beauty sported a smile infused with the fragrance of sweet success. For, sometimes, dreams have a strange way of coming true. Like they did for Gauhar Khan, the first runner-up at the Fa Femina Miss India 2002 contest.

Born and brought up in Pune, Gauhar started modelling when she was all of eight. "I took part in shows and campaigns and slowly, but surely, got a feel of the glamour world. But when I entered the Fa Femina Miss India contest, never ever did I believe that I would finish among the top four. It was like a dream come true for me."

Since then, life has never been the same again for Gauhar. This second-year BCom student is now all set to make her mark on the global stage and is busy preparing for the Miss International contest to be held in Hawaii in October. "I am taking speech and diction classes and keeping my body fighting fit. Besides, one has to be mentally prepared for the challenges of an international contest."

But then, challenges are nothing new for Gauhar. Right through her school and college days, she was a frequent prize-winner at talent contests. In a way, it was no surprise that Gauhar walked away with the Miss Talented title at the Fa Femina Miss India contest. "I did a take-off on the antics of a five-year-old girl and everyone appreciated my act. After I won, I had people from across the country calling up to congratulate me... it was great!"

From college student to busy model. Ever since she won a title at the Fa Femina Miss India contest, Gauhar has been flooded with work " a campaign for Godrej Fair Glow soap; a music video by Shaan; ramp shows. "Delhi is one place where I would like to work. This is the nerve centre for fashion and I'd love to do ramp shows here." Well, knowing Gauhar, she'll go on the ramp-age... and steal the show!

then how come she celebrated 29th birthday in her reality show ? she celebrated it in advance ?

How did she celebrate her 29th bday on her show, then? Can TOI confirm?

For such articles, it is the subject who gives his/her age. 😆

It can ONLY be confirmed now if they issue a public apology about lying on their show called Kardashian wannabes.

Bigg Boss host Salman Khan recently asked the pretty model how old is she and she promptly replied 29-years-old. She, however, forgot that she has already celebrated her 29th birthday two years ago on a reality show. Her admission of being 29 is rather amusing and it means that she has either forgotten that she had made that announcement two years ago, or she is suffering from some kind of amnesia. Quoting a source, a Mid-Day report says that the whole public watched her celebrate her 29th birthday on a reality show two years ago. Hence, it is rather funny to see her hiding her true age and makes us wonder if she lied about her age then too. The report further did some calculations to guess her real age. In 2003 she was engaged to filmmaker Sajid Khan, after which they got separated. Hence, by her admission was she just 19 when she got married.

She would be celebrating her 31st according to this right? And this year is over so 31 to hogi hi 😕

She passed out the same year my cousin passed and my cousin is 30 now. shehas to be 30 or 31

31 most likely... 29 kahan se aaye Gauhar ke mann main... she probably was thinking: "Kaunsa number de doon?"

I have watched Gauhar's birthday episode on Khan Sisters many times and no where does she say it's her 29th birthday or anything! people just starting rumours.

In 2002 Gauhar was 18 which makes her 29 or 30 now... end of!!
