Love at First Sight
Episode #17 San Franciso and Beyond Car stops and Nahar hits his head with steering wheel. Saloni hits her head with dash board. Saloni wakes up screaming and sees nahr lying on Steering wheel. Saloni screams Nahar and tries to pull Nahar's head from steering wheel. Nahar opens his eyes and he is hysterical and screams" Saloni are you all right.." Saloni calms him telling him I am fine. Then she sees blood on his forehead. Saloni takes her hand kerchief and wipes it and blow on the wound. Nahar too sees blood on Saloni's forehead.
"Saloni your forehead is bleeding too. Is it hurting? I am sorry. I don't know what happened, I probably dozed off. I was driving in wrong lane and the horn of upcoming car scared me. I steer the car too fast and ended up hitting the tree. Are you all right?." says Nahar worriedly. He pulls out his handkerchief and wipes her blood. He takes out first aid box from under the seat and they both bandage each other, Then they get out to check the damage to the car. Nahar finds little fender bender on the side and Saloni thanks Majaji. If they had gone lttle farther car might have hit rocks and some thing bad would have happened.
"Thank God we are safe and just had minor injuries. Otherwise it would have been a disaster. I am so happy that you are all right. It was my fault too. I should have stayed awake. I promise you I will not go to sleep till we reach San Francisco. I love you so much" says Saloni Hugging Nahar tightly. Nahar kisses her and Saloni asks him to start the car. They play antakshari and talk about what they have experienced so far from the day one in New York and laugh.. They find a Burger king near the motel and pick up milk shakes and fries. Finally they check in the motel 2-30 am. After finishing fries and shake go to sleep around 3.
Next morning Nahar wakes up at 9 am. Saloni is still half asleep and moving her hand in the bed.. Naahr grabs her hand and kiss and hugs her. Saloni holds him tight. And goes back to sleep. Naahr tries to wake her by tickling her. Saloni tells him please let me sleep little longer. Nahar wakes up and calls Sumer and then. Neel and discuss the office work. Saloni wakes up and look for Nahar in the bed then call for him. .Nahar hangs up the call saying to Neel ".Duty call yaar". Then they both laugh. Nahar sits by Saloni gently kissing her forehead. Saloni tells him she is cold and pulls him closer. Nahar lies next to her and hugs her. Saloni plays with his hair and kisses him,
"Saloni last night we really escaped the major accident let us celebrate our escape. I love you so much. Saloni hugs him tight and Nahar kisses her back and they end up making love. Nahar orders room service omelet toast fruits juice and tea. After breakfast Saloni goes to get ready while Nahar checks his emails. Saloni comes out and calls Ambika while Nahar get ready. They leave around 11 for sightseeing. First they go to Lombard street. Saloni loves the crooked street and flower arrangements. Put the coin in the window and makes a wish. They take lots of pictures. Driivng back on streets with lots of ups and down Saloni is scared at the same time they have fun. They visit famous Golden Gate Bridge. Takes pictures and buy some souvniers. They see Alcatraz the old prison where notorious criminals were held in old time. They see twin peaks and view san Francisco from the top. Then go to union square And then china town. They do some shopping there and eat Chinese food. for dinner. They come home very tired and rest.
Nahar feels like warching movie. As he has spotted a theater near their motel. They watch very romantic movie in the theater. Saloni feels very tired and lays her head on Nahar's shoulder as Nahar wraps his hand around her waist. The movie makes Nahar feel very romantic and he kisses Saloni. Saloni pushes him away saying people are watching. Nahar shows her so many couples kissing and Saloni hides her face in his shoulder, Nahar raises her head and kisses her lips. Saloni kisses him back. They come home late and go to sleep as they have planned a trip to beautiful breath taking Monterey Carmel next day. Nahar wakes up early in the morning and wakes Saloni as they have full day planned. Saloni is dreaming about last night's movie and thinking about how Nahar kissed her and smiles.
" What brought a smile on my beautiful Saloni's face? "asks Nahar lovingly
"I was dreaming about a movie we watched last night and then when you wake me I was thinking about how you kissed me in front of all those people." says Saloni smiling more.
"If my kiss brings such a spectacular smile on my bride's face then I am willing to give you thousand kisses everyday." Says Nahar holding Saloni up from the bed and starts kissing her. Saloni hugs him and remimds him they have to leave as it is a long drive. They go for early breakfast and leave hotel by 7 am. Nahar tells Saloni not to sleep or he will be angry with her. He enjoys her company but not her sleep. Saloni promises to stay awake, They go thru Santa Cruz and observe spectacular view of cental coastal line.
They tour cannery row and explore the seaside do some shopping and take a short cruise. And visit bay aquarium, They enjoy the 17 mile drive of carmel and have a lunch a t one of the fine restaurant. They love the white sandy beaches and walk there with hands in hand. Nahar captures slot of spectacular views on his camcorder. They get back via silicon valley and watches the big chip and computer and software companies. They have a dinner at nice Indian restaurant as Saloni misses home cooked food. and buys some food from local Indian store. Saloni feels like she is in India and her face lights up. She walks up and down the isles and picks up lots of things. Watching her Nahar smiles.
Later at night Nahar tells her he will be gone for few hours tomorrow morning but he will return by 11am. He wants to meet few Indians regarding business. Saloni gets upset.
"Nahar we have come here for our honeymoon. I do not want to stay alone here in the motel. When did you make this arrangement and why didn't you tell me?. I am not talking to you." says Saloni angruily.
"Jaan I found out this morning as I got few appointments in my email.. I did not want to upset you. So I did not tell you. I will come back before you even get ready I promise then we will drive to beautiful tahoe and I make up for this. I have started a new business and I need some details and why not get it since I am here. Please don't be angry or upset. I do not want to do anything that upsets you. I love you. I am doing this for us. Please. "says Nahaar lovingly pulling her closer with a sad face. Saloni holds his face and says OK and kisses him. Nahar is happy and thanks her and starts tickling her. Saloni tickles him back and they hug each other and make love.
Next morning Nahar leaves around 7 and visit few Indian software engineers and finalize some deals. Meanwhile Saloni sleeps late. She wakes up around 10 and gets ready and waits for Nahar. Nahar calls her that he should be there shortly and she should pack up and stay ready. We will leave after breaksfast. Saloni packs up and orders breakfast and Nahar arrives and carries her and hugs and kisses her .
"did you miss me. I missed you very much and had urged to call you so badly But I did not want to wake you." says Nahar smiling.
"You liar. Must have been thinking abour your business and telling me this to just please me' says saloni naughtily.
"Sach Saloni. I missed you. I am not lying." says Nahar with a sad face. Saloni kisses him saying I know you are not lying. I was just pulling your leg. You are very nave. Ha ha.. And she runs. Nahar follows her and grabs her. Saloni reminds him that they have to leave and it is already 11 am check out time. They quickly finish breakfast and leave.
They enjoy beautiful scenic 4 hour drive to Tahoe. They stop at several places to take pictures. Weather is beautiful and no snow. It is still cold for them. They arrive in the hotel around 3 and eats in the hotel restarunt. After lunch Nahar wants to rest and Saloni wants to go out. Nahar convinces her to rest and they will go out in the evening. They rest for an hour and get out. But it is too cold. So they decide to visit few casinos in the tahoe area. They do not like any casinos as they have seen the best in Vegas. But spends little time gambling and watch a show. After the show they go to nightclub and dance till late night. Finally Nahar has to carry Saloni to the room as she is too tired.
"Nahar I never want to go dancing again. In your company I always forget my limit. You are such an awesome dancer. God I am so lucky to found you. I want you in my every birth as my husband." says Saloni kissing him.
"Come on Saloni you are not bad at all. I have seen you dancing like a flash of lightening. Compare to you I am nothing. I too want you as my wife in every life. Nahar and Saloni will be together forever and ever. We should toast on that." says Nahar hugging saloni. Saloni brings 2 glasses Nahar pours water and they make a toast to be together for ever. Saloni feels so happy as she sees a broken star falling from the sky from the window and thanks god for giving her a loving husband. They go to sleep holding each other.
Next morning after their breakfast they start the 72 mile drive on tahoe's coastal line Lunch time they take a cruise on lake tahoe then the passes thru small towns, They vist ponderosa ranch where the show bonanza made. They stop at the Vikingsholm Castle, part of Emerald Bay State Park and enjoys Scandinavian architecture. They enjoy lake tahoe's beautiful sandy beaches even though it is very cold. Then they drive thru beutoful Carson city Nevada's capitol The old historic Carson city is so beautiful with old western style charm.
Then they head on to Reno to see the beautiful casinos. They visit beautiful Altnatis casino Atlantis' 32,000 square foot casino has a tropical theme with lots of indoor waterfalls, trees, thatched roof huts, and lots of neon lights., Then they vist beautiful eldorado and fitzerald casinos. Silver legacy casino and then finally they visit harrah's , and have dinner there. By the time they leave casinos it is already 9 pm.
Pretty late and they have to drive about 40 miles as they have booked their hotel in south tahoe. As they are driving and thinking how much fun they had and now tomorrow night they will catch a flight to New York and after there stay in New York they are heading back home.
"Please don't take it wrong I love your company and this was like a dream vacation for me with few mishaps and I loved every moment of it . Especially today we had a great time in this most beautiful place but I am already home sick and eager to see mom dad sweta and sahil as I have never stayed away from them this long . I cannot wait to spend my life in our beautiful home with you and our children" says Saloni smiling. Nahar pulls her closer and kisses her and tells her for that we have to work first. Saloni pushes him away and tells him to keep his eyes on road and pay attention to driving and wait till they reach the motel.. saloni puts her head on Nahar's shoulder and start humming a song. Nahar can feel the joy in her voice and gets happy and tells her don't you go to sleep now remember you have to keep me company.
"Yes sir. Your wish is my command" says Saloni naughtily and kisses his head. and hums more. Nahar feels lots of love in the air and feels happy and thinks even though today is their last day here they really had a best of time and he hears a burst of tire big expolsion like sound and car drives funny. He stops the engine and checks the tires . He finds front pasanger side tire is bursted, he makes fun of saloni saying look you have gotten very heavy and because of your weight tire is bursted. Saloni hits him with her fist. They both laugh. He calls the car rental company for help as it is totally dark. He does not want to change tire in the night time.. They wait on the side for the help. Suddenly a car pulls behind them. A nicely dress man comes out and knock on the window And asks Nahar if he needs help. Nahar says no thanks we are wating for help. Then he says I can help you as it is dark and unsafe and they might take long time to get here.. Nahar shows him the flat tire,
This man opens the trunk and takes out jack and spare and start removing bolts of old tire and in no time he changes the tire. While he is chamging he notces Saloni wearing gold jewllary as the lights are on inside and out since it is dark outside. While he finishes Naahr takes the tire to out back in trunk. The guy says hi to Saloni and Saloni thanks him and takes out some money from her rpurse. This guy notices Saloni has lot of cash and pulls gun out from his pocket and puts it on Saloni's head and tells her to give him all the cash and jewellary. Nahar is listening and pretends to move stuff around in the trunk and leaves the trunk open and get sunder the car and goes closer to guy and pulls his leg hard. The guy falls on the floor and he drops the gun. Nahar quickly comes out and pushes the button to close window and takes out keys from the ignition and locks Saloni in the car, The guy gets up and starts hitting Nahar. Naahr his him back. Saloni is screaming naahr Nahar let me out. Nahar Nahar crying and hitting window with her fists. The fight goes on for few minutes. Nahar pushes the guy in his car opening his car door. The guy pretends to fall and lays there for few minutes. Nahar moves him and hits him few more times and leave. The guy swiftly gets up and fires at walking Nahar . Saloni is unable to see anything gets tired of crying and screaming. She faints hearing the gunshot thinking Nahar got shot.
