Sooraj was in his shop. Sandhya too was supporting him as the shop was crowded. Sooraj's mobile was ringing. Sooraj looked at the caller it was Dilipji. He suddenly took the phone and moved to the corner of the shop
" Sooraj Bhaiya Dilip bhol raha hoon. Khush kabari hain. Sandhya Bhabi ko IPS mila hain. Abhi abhi results aaye or maine office se check kiya. Bhabi IPS bani hai Bhaiya"
Sooraj stood there stunned. Tears of happiness flowing from his eyes.
" Bhaiyaa aap sun rahe hain" asked Dilip. " Haan Haan Dilip. Mein baath mein bulavunga"
" Teek hai bhaiya. Khushi manayiye"
Sooraj turned. Sandhya was standing there perplexed. " Soorajji kiska phone thaa. aapke aankhon mein aasu".
Sooraj looked at his wife whose eyes were full of concern. " Soorajji kya hua" asked Sandhya again.
" Dillu har customer ko kesar barfi de de. Teri bhabi Sandhya IPS bani hai " Every customer standing in the shop turned and looked at Sandhya. Sandhya looked at Sooraj. Before she could speak at him, he was shouting orders.
" Chotu idhar aa. Hanuman Gali ke har ghar mein aaj ek box kesar barfi deni hai. Jaldhi kesar barfi le le Sandhyaji aap ghar aayiye. Dillu dukkan sambal "
Sandhya was standing stunned still the news dawning on her. Sooraj took her by hand and walked to RM. " Bhabo, Babasa jaldi aayiye aaj rathi parivaar ke liye sabse khushi ka din hai. Iss ghar ki bahu, meri Sandhya IPS bani hai."
Bhabo and Babasa came hurriedly followed by Meena and Emily. Sandhya touched Bhabo and Babasa's feet. Both blessed her. Sooraj was going non stop
" Emily woh akbar wale TV wale aathe hoge, tum Sandhya ko teek tarah se tyaar kar do." Sandhya wanted to talk to Sooraj. But Sooraj was so lost in his world. He walked to Vikram's shop.
" Vikram teri Babisa ko IPS mila hain. mujhe ache se achi koi saadi dikha de." Vikram felt so happy. He took a couple of very expensive and beautiful sarees to Sooraj. Sooraj chose a soft yellow saree with maroon border. He was about to pay and Meena came running to accept it. But Vikram stopped him " Bhaiyaa aaj nahin. Bhabi ko ye meri taraf se tofa samajiye" Sooraj felt happy. He rushed to GG room. Emily was dressing up Sandhya. He gave the saree and walked out talking to Band waalas, decoration waalas on the phone"
As he walked out Emily told Sandhya " Jethanijee aaj jethji poore pushkar mein aapki IPS banne ke khushi manayege. Bahar tho dekhiye. " Sandhya looked from her window. Sooraj was giving sweets to everyone who passed by. She saw the proudness in his eyes and her eyes became moist. She thought about her father and his words " Beta jis din tum IPS banongi poore pushkar mein, mein kesar ki barfi batunga". She looked at Sooraj again. Her father would be proud of him. She was bought to present by Emily's voice. " jethanijee jaldi tyaar ho jayiye"
Down RM was flooded with HG people and soon TV reporters and news reporters entered. Sooraj walked to GG room and said. " Sandhyaji aayiye. Neeche sab aapka intezzar kar rahe hain". Saying this he walked out.
Sandhya told Emily. " Emily tum Soorajji se kaho ki meine une bulaya hain". Emily was like ' Jethanjee neeche sab". Sandhya voice was strong " Emily tum Soorajji ko becho"
Sooraj was surprised to see only Emily coming. He went near Emily " Emily Sandhya kaha hain"
" Jethjee jethani ne aapko bulaya hain" told Emily. Sooraj rushed to GG room. Sandhya was sitting in front of mirror fully ready
" Sandhyaji ye kya bachpana hain. wahan log aapse milne khade hain"
" Soorajji diya ke bina baati akele kaise kisi ke samne jaa sakthi hain"
Sooraj looked at her and she turned( Diya BGM). Sandhya stood up. Sooraj went near her and hugged her warmly. She told " Soorajji mubarak ho. aapki patni IPS bani hai. Ye jeet utnee aapki hai jithni meri" She looked up and Sooraj slowly released her from the hug " to chale Sandhyaji"

Cameras were flashing at Sooraj and Sandhya as the walked down the staircase together hand in hand.Their eyes were beaming and both looked proud. Dhol was beating outside and the TV reporter was speaking into the camera
" Today we are going to meet the most famous couple of Pushkar. I dont need to introduce Sooraj Rathi to anyone. His talent in making sweets is well known and it is said that there is magic in his hands. Today his wife proved that she is no lesser to him as far as talent goes. Sandhya Rathi has already proved to be a brave citizen by foiling a terror attack in Pushkar. Today she has made Pushkar once again proud by clearing the most tough competitive exam in India. Yes Sandhya Rathi is going to become an IPS officer. So let us welcome this lovely couple to share with us their life's journey"
Sooraj and Sandhya looked at each other. Indeed they had come a long way from where they started. Bhabo looked at them proudly . Yes she admitted to herself finally her choice was right. She wouldnt have got a better wife for Sooraj.
