Ipoona, how touching was that about his bday wish to her, great my friend.
ASR's bday is one of those most forgettable tracks for me more than the Mrs india one. Yes even I didn't get what the writers were trying to show Khushi as. This pure soul, who can't hurt even those who immensely harm her and believes in giving them a chance, was as if bent on ruining the day for him, NOT the Khushi that we loved! One of the hallmarks of ASR's character, as we talk at length and breadth on the blast, is his respect for others beliefs and not asking them to change for him, esp his Khushi, he assured her many a times that he loves her just the way she is and doesn't need to change an inch for him! In a mostly patriarchal society, how uplifting is it that the man of the house, who deliberately relinquished his paternal and last name proudly carries his maternal one, doesn't expect anyone to do anything for him!
Why was khushi shown bent on making him believe what all he does and believe is not so right? Isn't loving some one respecting their core? But again, writers were very inconsiderate to Khushi during the last few weeks/months and that's the only way I could take it.
Anyway, I have to rant as you brought up one of my most disappointing days.
