Chapter 4 So the next day Yash went to Aarthi's house when Aarthi was working in the office.
He went to the house and knocked on the door.
Shobha ma came in and open the door. She looked confused looking at him as she has never seen him before( Though she had heard about Yash Scindia she has not seen him.)
"You must be Aarthi's mother. I'm Amar. I work with Aarthi in Scindia group of industries. I came this way and thought to come here. Once when we were going by this side Aarthi showed her house to me."
"Oh Namaste beta come in!"
"Thank you. "
So Yash went inside.
"Where's Aarti's father?"
"You sit beta. I'll bring him."
So Yash sat down and started to look around the house. He saw Aarthi's wedding photo and got shocked and the other side her husband's photo witha garlaand of flowers around it.
"Is she a widow at this young age?"
Just then Shobha brought Dubey in a wheel chair which shocked Yash again.
"Dubey this is Amar who is working with Aarthi. He has come this way and thought to drop in to our house."
"Namasthe beta! Sit down."
So Yash sat down.
"Since this is your first visit you must eat some sweets I made of. You speak with Aarthi's babuji and I'll bring some sweets for you."
Saying this Shobha left them.
"So Amar beta Aarthi is working with you. How is she? Is she still a reserved type."
Yash was about to answer.
"Amar,I know she's reserved type. What to do? My daughter died the day her husband died in front of her eyes.I lost my daughter that day.
"What her Husband died in front of her eyes?" Yash couldn't believe what he is hearing..
"She was a cheerful and down to earth girl. This house was filled with her laugh and naughtiness. She met Aman in her College. It was a love marriage. Aman was senior to her. They met in the college and fell in love. After Aman got graduated their parents wanted him to get married. But he kept post ponying it since he didn't want to be a hurdle for Aarthi's studies. But just two months before Aarthi's final exam his parents wanted him to get married because of an auspicious time.So they both agreed and they got married. He loved Aarthi a lot and Aarthi too loved him. Though he got married he helped Aarthi for her studies and they didn't start their married life because Aman wanted Aarthi to concentrate on her studies and to get through the finals as he knew Aarthi's dream was to become a professional designer someday. He was her strength. .. But on the final day when he came to pick up Aarthi on the final day of her exam and was about to cross the road a truck hit him and he died on the spot..." Dubey wiped the tears
Shobha came in and comforted him.
"This is the reason Aarthi was so shocked to see a truck yesterday. But what did I do? I just scolded at her.Thought Yash.
"Aarthi was shocked from that time and didn't utter a word. Doctor said to us to make her cry as if she stays like that it will be not good for her. Dubey I and her, friends had to try hard to make her cry. Then she cried her heart out. But another tragic came to her. Her in laws kepp on saying that she was a bad omen for the family and she was the reason for Aman's death.Slowly my child started to believe that. She started to think that she's a bad omen. We couldn't do anything to take it out of her mind. After Aman's death,she became reserved type. My naughty cheerful Aarthi died that day. Her in laws threw her out of their house as didn't want to keep a bad omen in their house. She didn't say anything to them she came with us. After some time we convinced her to do a job. It was hard. But wen we asked her to fulfill aman's dreams she started looking for a job and that is how she ended up there in Scindia group of industries."
"We wanted her to do a job so that was she will slowly come out of her grief. I can't see my daughter like that. See being a father I can't do anything for her. I know that no will marry her. After knowing her past no one. I'm worried about that too. Someday she will be lonely. Don't why God punished my child. She never did any harm to anyone. but.."
Yash couldn't help but wipe his own tears. He never knew that Aarthi has a past like this. He found that he has lost words.
He went to Dubey touched his both hands.
"Don't worry your daughter will find a good man who will take care of her in her rest of life. She's not a bad omen. Since she joined our company everything started to happen so nicely. I'm Yash Scindia not Amar. I have to come like this as I knew you will never open up for Yash Scindia. I wanted to know about Aarthi's past after what happened yesterday."
Dubey and Shobha was shocked to learn this is Yash Scindia and was more shocked to hear that something happened yesterday.
"Yesterday? What happened?"
"Didn't Aarthi tell you. I dropped her here and went."
"No she told us she was having a headache and she came early." Said.
"So Yash filled them in what happened."
"Thank you beta for saving her life. Yes it happened whenever she sees a truck. From that day she get frightened when she sees a truck..."
"Ok I must go to the office. Don't tell her that I came here or I got to know about her past.We'll get together and we'll bring her out of that situation soon."
"Thank you Yashji"
Yash went to the office. He was so upset hearing all this.
"Why destiny played a cruel game with her life?She's such a nice girl. I will help her out of this. She's so good that I cannot just sit and stay like this when she is in this states. How dare her in laws call her bad omen. She was the best thing that happened to this company. After her arrival our business stared to grow. It was Aman's destiny that he had to go early. What this poor girl to do about that. First I have to take her out from underestimating herself..."
Just then he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in.."
"Good morning Sir." Said Aarthi.
"Good morning Aarthi. Come and have a seat."
So Aarthi sat down.
"Sir I came to apologies for what happened yesterday. I should not have stood on the road like that . I don't know what happened to me.."
"Aarthi, it's alright. Now forget it.I hope you are fine now."
"Yes sir. Thank you."
"Your welcome Aarthi. Aarthi I have request. Can we be friends?"
Yash forward his hand.
Aarthi was hesitant at first but she gave in later.
"Ok sir, We'll be friends." They shook their hands.
Aarthi then went away.
"No matter what Aarthi I'll bring you out of this. It's a promise.
