It was an attempt at catharsis, Ela dear.

I rarely get involved with characters in serials, but I think, as I have tried to explain in my response above to sun29, that I felt badly let down yesterday by Jodha, because of her apparently believing that Jalal would claim the conjugal rights he had never shown the least interest in claiming all these weeks, and discussing that with a new maid.

In the ultimate analysis. it was a waste of time. Something I am squandering too much of on these posts day after day after day. Plus, I seem to have become predictable, alas!😉😭😉

I have to sit down and do a serious rethink. :Let me see.

Yes, my dear, but there are limits to all things. My problem is that she had crossed those limits and by far.

I think Jodha is too naive or may be stupid. There is very thin line between Naive and Stupid. She is still acting like a rajputi young princess probably 15 year old who really doesn't get the importance of King and Queen Royal behavior.

Even in Amer she was very close to all Dasis and share her feeling with them and she is doing same thing in here as well. At this time she has crossed thin line and start acting stupid. She really need to get over from hate and start respecting Jalal. Jalal has changed a lot for her after her suiside drama.
I think she just want his attention by fighting because she is not used talking to him in respectful manner. Inside of her she didn't wanted to stay in different rooms. She acting like she doesn't care but she does... her state of mind is in denial stage I think after Mohan attack she is will come to reality. HOPE SOOO

Tejaswini, sweetheart, I am delighted to have you back, and I knew why you were a no show for so long, which is why I kept up the PMs. Take a look at my latest as I rush off to catch up with my Sunday chores!

More later. Affectionately,

Aunty I've been meaning to post on one of your threads for ages! Children, husband and work being a handful, I just about make enough me time to read the posts! Coming to the show, when this show started, I felt like the cvs were portraying jalal as a brute and a somewhat over the top aggressive but the storyline has gone much further than I could have predicted what I thought was going to be the regular ekta kapoor serial with a arrogant guy and the sanskaari girl who tames him, this has taken a more Shakespearean arc in Taming of the Shrew! Everyone said Jalal changes when Jodha/Harka bai comes into his life but I'm glad it is him changing her into Mallika-e-Hindustan who understands all her subjects and not just the culture she was raised in rather than a petulant girl- yes, i use the term girl rather than princess simply because i credit princesses as being more socio-politically astute.

Every marriage, theirs on a much grander scale I guess, requires one partner to take the first step in understanding the other, taking an interest in the other and trying to resolve their domestic conflicts. Almost always it comes down to the women to take that first step. But I am rather impressed that it is jalal doing it. He's proved beyond a doubt that he is definitely the more adult, responsible and understanding person in the relationship. he genuinely knows a lot about her whereas she hasnt even scratched the surface. todays episode was beautiful in showing the two cultures come together in jodha and jalal but I'm yet to warm upto jodha at all. you've discussed her behavior before and I completely agree so I wont elaborate any further. Coming back to today, even her behavior today was really petty. The fact that after all that has passed between the two, she still asks god for an opportunity to teach him a lesson was just absurd. I am very excited to see some multi-dimensional growth to this single minded simpleton soon!
Aunty keep writing! your posts are a daily treat in my hectic life!
Love Tejaswini

"Jodha is a 21st century female ..." On behalf of 21st century females, I protest the slur on us. A lot of us would not behave like that 😊 That's why we are on this thread and chiding Jodha Begum.
"She could not get any worse, so the graph had to climb!" She could get worse - shudder.

"I want to now start Jalal bachao project..." I will support you.

Quite right my dear! It is exactly like that cliched expression calling a particularly awful specimen of the male of the species an 'animal'. All animals should protest against such slurs.

As for Jodha, I am only sorry that Mohan did not get to her, except that, as I have noted above, he would have expired of metal poisoning!😉Which would be a great pity.

As for my dear Jalal, whom I have adopted informally some time back, I would second that proposal, except that I know he is a big boy and can look after himself, and tame this termagant as well. So one can take a call on that a little later, if necessary, don't you think? If you read my next one, I have expatiated on this theme there, and about Jodha as well. You might find it interesting.
