Hello all!
Posting a little late today as I was out.
Just few things about today's episode.
1. Aastha hit the nail right on the head - she had the guts to tell him that he needs to listen to others & stop escaping responsibility. Shrenu was really good here. And for the 1st time, Shlok was really affected by her. So affected that he had nothing to say. Somewhere, he realised that what she said was true. He has always been shown to be a responsible, self-made man BUT what about his responsibility towards his family? For the 1st time, it struck him that responsibility is not just a duty that he feels towards his father, but rather it needs to complemented with action - not just any form of action, but right action. This explains the new promo, where he lets the old woman go first.
BTW, I forgot to add. I love how the hockey stick was brought back into the pic again. I love how she noticed him eyeing the hockey stick & put it far away. Further re-inforces my point yesterday- she has it in her to control the demon in him.
2. Again, there was so much contrast shown between the Shlok & Aastha & their families. One is north pole, the other is south poleđToo many, that I might not recall all.
- NA very smartly used emotional blackmail to make Shlok stay, while Aastha's mother did not do any of the emotional blackmail, rather she attempted to be strict with Aastha & confine her in the house.
- Aastha used a little bit of drama/comedy/mere words to appease her mother but Shlok did not use any of this. He used heavy words, he made huge promises which he will stick to. Funny how both of them made exact opposite promises. She made the promise to never meet him again, but he indirectly made the promise to keep meeting her so that he could make her realise that she should not have done what she did.
- Aastha runs from responsibility. She wants to be a free bird, while Shlok wants anything but freedom. He wants his father to tell him what to do, though he never says it. When his father told him to leave, he wanted to stay.
- Aastha finds 'love' in happiness [her nok-jhoks with her family] while Shlok finds happiness in love.
Precap : I LOVE MUD ROMANCEđłđł
Regarding promo/revenge.
Actually, I think this 'revenge' will be very different. Looking at both promos as well as Shlok's last dialogue, I do not think that his revenge would be to make her fall in love with him, as we were all speculating, but rather his 'revenge' or should I call it his answer back to whatever she said, would be to transform his image & be good but yet keep his darkness/hatred intact. It's like he will be the cause and the solution of her problems. He will push her into the well, but he will also be the one to save her. Love, i guess, would happen in the process, but I do not think it is part of his agenda.
P.S. I wonder why Varad was there in the whole scene when Shlok & NA were speaking. What was his purpose? Was he scheming something in his head? He didn't have any form of a proud/happy reaction when Shlok decided to stay. He was just looking on the whole time. Hmm...seems suspicious.
Do share your thoughts.
Cheers,
Samridhi
