a much needed post!! and using the charecter name arnav is something i hate in such ff!! arnav has always been an angry but a honest and disciplined man!! even when he had had a contract marriage with khushi he had never touched her or imagined it!! i believe wiritng such things is an insult to his charecter ! a charecter we all love and admire should not be ruined!

and yes rape is the most sensitive issue and come one whatever may be with reason is not worth forgiving! i hope such stories are not encouraged but its a sad fact that not many think like us!!😕

Such stories are not allowed in the forum under any circumstances. Such stories get trashed/closed. We can't keep track of them all but the ones we come across we do take sufficient action.

If you have come across any such stories still around the forum please send me the links and i'll do the need being.

I just wanted to know why stories over "Rape" on IPKKND Forum is not closed that too when the writer don't handle such a sensitive issue properly.

Is a person allowed to write anything just because he/she is a writer?

Thanks for making the post. Personally, I have no issues if rape is made a part of the story, given it is situational and there are relevant consequences. But what you have quoted .. is .. well .. irrational. And I would hate reading it. As a woman, we should not encourage such plots where a victim falls in love with her rapist .. it only encourages the idea of rape. Nothing justifies rape. Absolutely nothing.

Hey Shruti!

Definitely a much needed post. Well put and I'm glad that you've posted about it.

There is nothing that can be glorified about an heinous act such as rape. I am appalled and somewhat disappointed at the writers that think it is appropriate to write about rape in such a manner.

I'm disgusted at the fact that in a country that is fighting so hard to stop and punish this injustice, there are still writers that will write this sort of thing.

If the story does involve a character as a rape victim then I would expect for it to be dealt with maturely and sensitively. Definitely not in a way were the victim in the end also ends up falling in love with the rapist.

That really demeans the sentiments of rape victims. It is not something that can be undone and it is not an incident where a love story can be weaved around it. It's simply disgusting.

In fact this is one of the reasons that I no longer read that many FFs. There was a time when every other FF I opened revolved around this exact same thing. It needs to stop.

This was a much needed post. Thank you Shruti21 for taking the initiative.
We IPKKND fans tend to get delusional when it comes to BARUN/ARNAV... Even I admit that I 've read such stories on the name of Dark FFs and did not mind them (Although realized otherwise, later ). And , I guess there are more people out there in IF/ IPPKND forum who do not realize the gravity of what they are reading/writing.
We all need a reality check in these cases - Imagine yourself ( or someone very close to you ) in place of Khushi and someone else in place of Arnav/Barun... someone you don't really like ( example - Shyam or anyone from your real life experience ) Now, if someone manhandles you or rapes you..would you be ever able to forgive that person ,let alone, love him or marry him !
I guess this small activity will give you your answer and you'll choose what you read/write carefully.
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I wrote what I've realized after reading so many stories on IF.

A very relevant post!!

Thankfully i didnot come across much of the stories on rape. A few of the stories that i have come across just fleetingly touch on the subject so i didnt mind reading it!!

Firstly as u rightly pointed that in most of such stories a victim falls in love with the rapist!! How is it even possible!!After being brutally molested by a guy, being scarred for life, being psychologically damaged the girl only has immense hatred and loathing for him!!! I don't know from where do people get this idea that the girl will fall for the rapist!!

Secondly yes writers should be more responsible!! Rape is such a sensitive issue! And being girls if we will take it lightly then what do you expect from others!!

But here i would also like to point out that it is the responsibility of readers too that they do not encourage it if they across any such stuff!!

Thirdly i would like to say many of the readers also must not have realised this while reading these stories!! For most of the readers its simply Arnav khushi story and they have to be together no matter what!! As long as they are together in any way everything is maaf!! I myself didnt pay much attention! Though thankfully i never came across such stories much! One or two that i had i simply left them in between!!

So its an eye opener for both readers and writers too!!! M so glad that you made a post on such a vital and a sensitive issue!! Both readers and writers should realise their responsibilities and see to it that sensitive issues like this or any other evils are not encouraged in the name of creative freedom or whatever!!
