Chapter 9

Afternoon,

They walked to the terrace , Priya was looking little disturbed for some reason , she sat near to Ram , and asked him if they can talk about some thing serious. Ram smiled and asked her to speak whatever her wants to speak out. Priya Smiled but the nervousness still prevailed on her face.

priya speak whatever you feel to speak. Don't keep anything in your heart.' Ram said.

She managed a smile , Ram , I want to speak about the last night , I mean ..I ...I...' she closed her eyes , and taking a deep breath inside she tried to gather some courage and she spoke at last , Ram , whatever happened last night , I don't want it to happen again before our marriage , if we do .'

Okay , so you still think that , if we do ..Ha Priya .' he sounded little annoyed . Priya looked at him and asked does it really matters to him, if she don't let him to get physical with her. Ram corrected her about his annoyance , I agree with you on that point , we should not get into physical relationship further , rather last night I have no such intuition to get physical with you ...' Priya intervened Ram , I know both of us got carried away.'

ya' ,he said , but how could you ever think that IF I will marry you , I will marry only you .. no one else ..' he said cupping her face. He assured , only after their marriage we will be together again. Not before that . I know your values and I respect them.' Priya smiled , Thanking him she hugged Ram.

Priya asked about preeti , and what commitments did Ram gave her . Ram didn't want to show his nervousness , as he lied to Priya , once again . He assured Priya that , he has given no such commitment to Preeti. He only liked her and way back he realized that it was not Love. Priya asked him if it was not Love then why they used to speak over phone for hours.

no , we don't .' he protested , that day , Preeti was facing some problems in her accounts , and I was helping her in her work . I was not ...' ram gave a pause and noticed that Priya is looking weirdly into his eyes. For a moment he lost his breath thinking that if she has caught her lies. He looked normal , and asked if she is jealous of preeti. Ram winked. Smiling casually priya said that , she trusts him and there is no need to give such long explanation about the call, neither today nor tomorrow. She trusts him more than anything.

For a moment Ram felt guilty , he felt like speaking the truth to priya , about preeti , who never existed nor will exsist in the near future. But she got afraid if Priya reacts badly , if she thinks that to take her to the bed , he has lied about preeti , if she thinks he has taken undue advantage of her. He was lost in his thought, priya moved his face to her and asked about his worry.

priya , can I ask you something.' He asked. She smiled in return.

Ram asked priya if any day she finds out , that , he has lied to her , what she will do with him. Priya was leaning to Ram's shoulder , she sat straight and looking into his eyes , tried to find out the reason, why are you saying all this Ram. I trust you . I trusted you more than myself . That's why I am not at all worried about the last night. Why are you speaking all this now Ram?' she asked.

priya , I am just asking nothing else. No botheration.' He smiled.

She stood up and walked to an edge of the terrace , ram stood up too. She cocked her head to ram , Look Ram , I hate lies from the bottom of my heart. Even I don't lie to any one if asked, without thinking of the consequences, and I will expect that from you too. So if you have lied about any thing to me , then just disclose it . I will appreciate it.' She turned to Ram .

While she spoke , ram thought of speaking with Shikha ji , and then disclose the truth to priya infront of her. He smiled , I have not lied anything till now to you baby . so stop giving me this tough look. Samjhi' He hugged priya, When Priya smiled in his arms , he looked tensed.

They walked back to the room , before ram left for his room , he asked priya to get dressed in a saree for the evening , for the pizza party , which he was giving to the oldies goldies. Priya smiled in assurance.

Evening ...

Priya draped in a pink saree , her wavy hair was flowing much above her waist line , but way below her neck line. She dressed as simple as she can, but she was looking like a goddess from the heaven to Ram. He cannot take his eyes off from her. Priya looked at him and gave a smile. Ram showed himself from top to down, he was dressed in a white tee and jeans and showed thumbs down for himself and then showed a Thumbs up for her a wink followed . she scolded him to behave. They were talking through their eyes.

Meera wheeled Shikha Ji to the hall , she noticed priya in saree . She got surprised and asked meera , if there is any occasion and she has forgotten about it. Meera said that there is no such occasion. Shikha ji looked at priya more keenly , and found that she was smiling looking somewhere and also directing someone. She followed priya's eyes and found Ram on the other end. Shikha ji smelled some development in their relationship, but now she believed something more is there. She asked meera to wheel her to Priya.

arey wah! Today has no occasion and my sweet heart is in saree?' Shikha ji said . Priya smiled only.

Meera , you look after others.' Shikha ji then asked priya to drop to her. Priya I believe , you will not do anything wrong , against my and your values.' Priya wanted to intervene, Shikha ji asked priya to let her finish finish first. Priya obeyed , while , Shikha ji spoke further , if I ask you why you are in saree , you will not answer , because you want to hide it from me , and you will not lie .. in the same time. So I will not ask, rather I know why you are in saree, in someone's request. It's good beta. I appreciate that , but always keep on your mind , don't cross the line.' Shikha ji smiled.

I..I need to talk Darling .. can we ...' priya stopped , as ram addressed the oldies goldies in a high pitch , look what's here .. PIzaaa is here ...' there was so much agitation . Shikha ji asked Priya to come to her later and then they will speak in peace. Priya stood up and walked to the hall. She took the packets from ram ,meera helped her . They were taking the packets to the kitchen .

Oye hello madams, where you are taking the pizaas?' Ram asked . Priya said they will serve them in plates. Ram said that Gluping up the pizza's has a method , and that's eating together and when the last piece will be left .. Snatch it. Priya smiled and asked Meera to help Ram and she will take care of the soft drinks. Priya was little sad to disappoint her darling. She made up the mind to tell her everything what happened between her and Ram last night. She even didn't care about the consequences that she will face. Shikha ji can slap her for this menace created even.

Ram kept an eye on her , and finding her little tensed he followed priya to the kitchen. But he failed to ditch Shikha ji's eyes. Shikha ji this time wheeled her chair alone , meera came running to help her. Shikha ji asked her to be at hall and assured that she can help her a little bit , in regular works.

Kitchen ...

Ram looked around the kitchen and found priya standing by the Refrigerator . He walked to her and when he found her crying he asked for the reason.

Ram , I couldn't lie to darling , why only darling I cant lie to any one, she has already sniffed something going on between us . But if she comes to know about the truth of the last night.' Priya cried .

Hey ! I am here na , let me handle this baby .' Ram said cupping her face. She didn't stop crying. Ram took her in his arms , he can also feel her heart. She has values , he was also feeling guilty for the last night . But they had nothing in their hands they got carried away with their emotions for eachother . May be a mistake , they have committed but , they have had no intention to do so . Ram Hugged her tighter , Priya sobbed badly in his arms.

I didn't expect this from you Priya!!!' Shikha ji's voice struck like a thunder bolt. Ram Priya next stood parted from eachother. Shikha ji wheeled near them , the couple has no courage to face her . Shikha ji's eye balls moved to and fro from ram to priya and vice versa. She is angry with them , she caught them cozy , Priya was crying.

I will not jump into a conclusion . But I want to know what was bothering you Priya and Ram I want to talk to you alone.' Shikha ji looked at them and asked them to come to her room. Ram priya without protesting went with her.

When They reached Shikha ji's room , she asked ram to close the door behind him. He obeyed.

now will you care to speak what is the matter , and why you are crying Priya.' She asked. Priya walked to her and knelt to Shikha ji , looking down to the floor she said , mujh se ek galati ho gayi hai darling. But we have nothing in our hands darling , we got carried away. I am sorry . Please forgive me.' Priya without thinking about the consequences spoke the truth.

what!!' Shikha ji shouted , holding priya in her arms , priya had no courage to look into her eyes. Shikha ji then looked at Ram , who was looking down , also . I cant believe this priya , but when you are saying this , it is true , I know you never speak lie. But haven't you ever thought for a while.' She said addressing both Ram Priya .

They have no answer . One stood quietly , while the other knelt to Shikha ji without speaking a word.

now it's high time the family comes to know , about you two , but before that I want to talk with ram Alone .' Shikha ji looked at priya , she without protesting for a single time left the room . Ram stood silent and waited for her to scold him .

Ram , I dodnt expect this from you , not even from me. My child , she said such a big mistake to me without even thinking for a while , and I am supporting you , rather I am have given you the idea to lie to her. But yeh kya kar diya tum dono ne. I cant blame you alone , she is responsible equally but , why ... why?' Shikha ji said .

aunty , we didn't want to , I mean ... I cant make you understand , but we have nothing such intuitions . I am sorry . But I want to say everything to Priya . what I have done and why ? about my lies to her.' Ram said .

not now . She is vulnerable . She will feel more guilty to be with you and above all she will think you be an opportunist . She will find herself to be ditched. She will never forgive you .I don't care what she will think about me . But I care for you. I want to see you as her life partner .wait for the right time. ' Shikha ji said to ram . He walked to her and knelt . Seeing him worried , she said , I will support you then' she smiled, ram too.

but that doesn't mean , I am forgiving you and her for what you two did. Call priya ... I want to tell you something together.' She ordered. Ram walked outside and found priya in the garden. He walked to her and asked her to come inside , as her darling wants to punish them . Priya walked back to the room with Ram.

Once they were inside , Shikha ji warned them about their actions and also warned them not to indulge themselves in such things which can put them into trouble.

They came out of the room . Priya frowned over Ram and walked directly upstairs. Ram ran after her.

priya , listen to me . I am really sorry for last night .' he said ..

why you are ram , what ever happened , that is not your fault, neither mine it happened . But I cant say this to darling . I had to confess it to darling . I cant lie to her.' Priya replied back. Ram was about to speak , when Priya's phone buzzed . she picked up the call. She smiled as she heard from the other side. Priya said , david I will call you on Monday , I have to discuss this with my father and will decide about the future. Okay!' she looked at Ram and smiled .

now what happened !!!' Ram asked.

come I need to share something with you , I have a past . You are not the first peson to whom my father wanted me to get engaged . rather I was engaged in past to Sameer Malhotra , a hot shot industrialist from South Africa.' Holding Ram's hand , priya took him to the roof . The roof Top was covered with artificial grass , a mini garden is also there . Priya designed the house in such a manner that the oldies goldies (named by ram) can reach any corner of the house any time.

They settled down there . priya looked at ram and said , now listen carefully. Very carefully.'

few years back I was engaged to Sameer , he was a hot shot industrialist . Hailing all the way from UK but settled in South Africa , Durban. Darling , me no one have any interest on him . But my father and my masi , Meenal , loved him so much reason I don't know . They wanted me to get engaged . I got.' Priya looked at ram , who was listening to her very carefully . she continued I was in Durban , then , one projects was going on . frankly speaking I took that relationship as a responsibility . I have had no heart for that malhotra . But being insisted by my masi , I had go for parties . lunch with him. I wanted a reason to say no to him and at last I got it . one day I caught him red handed making up with a girl in his cabin. I didn't hear a single word from him and called off the marriage.'

Priya looked at Ram for his reaction . He asked if it bothers her still . Priya laughed and said , the thing which is there I my heart that only bothers me. But the matter of brain , doesn't bother me . But sameer and me were connected by a link . a house , which my father bought as a wedding gift for me and sameer. When I left him , I wanted him to transfer the ownership completely to me. But he denied and the house worth , about some 600 millions .. so I sued him there ... and my lawyer David was looking after that , and I won the case.' Priya smiled . Ram congratulated her .

that's not the point . I want to sell it . so I have to go over there to finalize the deal.' Priya said.

ok .. but when you will go? And for how many days ?' ram asked .

Priya said that she will discuss the matter with her father and once she will get his green signal she will decide the day , with the dealers and the trip will be off some thing about 15 days , including travelling. Ram gave her a nod and then asked ,' if I come do you have any problem ?' Priya smiled. Ram smiled next . They laughed in unison ...

As they looked back they saw un-noticed to them some one has kept a pack of pizza and soft drinks for them. They smiled again . Priya ran to the roof top door and saw Meera wheeling Shikha ji back. She said in mind , I will not break your trust darling... I love you more than myself .' she came back to Ram. Wrapping her arms around his , she leaned to his shoulder.
