In the hospital, Shruti is remembering Narayni Devi telling the doc to admit her, then wonders if it was Janki Devi who actually signed the forms. "Is it possible that Janki Devi IS my mother?" she wonders. She gets up from the bed, walks around and remembers Janki Devi saying "I am her relative. She is my daughter, and I am her mother!" This goes around in her head, and she falls to the floor, unconscious.
Pranay comes in and sees her lying on the floor. He calls for a nurse and the doctor.
In the doctor's office, Pranay is told that Shruti had some complications in her past, during pregnancy, which is a possible reason for her kidney failure now. (I think either her first kidney failed when she was kidnapped by Gayatri, or when she was preggers with Tanu and the car accident forced her to give birth a little early). The doc tells Pranay that they will need to find a donor asap, and he should get blood samples from all of his family members, to find if there are any matches in the house. Someone in a black dress (we do not see their face, but I presume it is Paro - you'll understand why later) is listening in from outside.
At AG House, the doc calls Pranay and tells him that no one's kidney matched EXCEPT Tanu's. Gunn says that she will talk to Tanu about donating her kidney. Shruti holds Gunn's hand as she is about to leave, and sort of apologises😳. She says that after Krishna and Papa's demise, she (Shruti) had not even spoken to Gunn properly (well thats a lie, you spoke to her properly after Om left - sure you don't mean after MAMA left?) and so why is she doing so much for her? Gunn tells her that more than being in pain yourself, it is feeling your family's pain that hurts the most. You cannot bear the pain that you feel when someone close to you is in pain. Don't worry, she says, I will talk to Tanu.
Tanu refuses to give Shruti her kidney. She says that Shruti bua has never spoken to any of them (except Tanu) properly, and that she always runs around after Trishna dadi because she wants to "be" somewhere in life - she cares only about herself. Gunn tries to convince her, but Tanu says that although she listens to everything her mother says, she cannot do this. She says that she will talk to Shruti herself.
Pranay is telling Shruti that he could not even help her when she needed it. "Why does my kidney not match yours" - uh take a guess, son🤢(He doesn't seem too cut up about the fact that he can't help her🤢) Shruti says some really crappy dialogue about their hearts matching😆😆. If she ever needs a heart transplant, she's sure that Pranay's will match her😆😆😆
Tanu comes in and Pranay leaves. She tells Shruti that she cannot give her her kidney. She talks and talks and talks - its really boring. Shruti is shocked, tearful but she says that Tanu won't have to give her kidney to her. Shruti says that when I was your age, I also told my mama that she would never understand me, and now my own beti...
Both are shocked. Shruti continues, my own beti jaisi niece is telling me the same thing. Now that I am a mother, I can understand how much I hurt my mama back then😳😳 Tanu leaves. Shruti thinks to herself that whether Tanu accepts her or not, she will always be a part of her life.
Kamal is remembering the moment he went to the hospital and saw "Parvati Agarwal" on the sheet for Shruti's op. In the flashback, he is pleasantly surprised, and he lies to the nurse that whoever signed the papers signed them like this only to help Shruti in that moment - Parvati Agarwal is dead. He then signs some fresh papers. He pockets Parvati's papers. Flashback over, Kamal smiles to himself and thinks that he knows bhabhi is alive😳he doesn't know why she is hiding, but if she wants this to remain a secret, it will😳😳 He will always be with her.
Trishna gets a call from the doc who tells her that a donor is now available. He refuses to tell her the name of the donor, as it is against hospital policy. Trishna pretends to understand, and thinks to herself that she knows who this person is.
Maasi is worried that Janki is not at home. Her cell is also off. She scolds one of their guards for "sleeping" all the time😆😆😆 Trishna has just arrived and witnesses this. Maasi asks her why she is here, and Trishna asks why she is tense. Maasi tells her "I am not used to hearing questions as an answer to questions"😆😆😆Trishna tells Narayani Devi that she wants to meet Janki ji. Maasi makes an excuse about a business meeting that Janki is at. Trishna slyly tells Maasi that Shruti's kidneys have failed, and she needs an operation. Maasi realises that this is what Janki must be doing right now. Trishna leaves.
Maasi goes to her cupboard and takes out a piece of paper. She gets worried as she reads it (no clue what's in it).
Trishna turns up at the hospital with a bouquet of flowers. She yaps "casually"😆😆😆 with the nurse, and finds out that the only other operation taking place that day (aside from Shruti's) is taking place at that time, in Room 501.
Trishna runs to 501, but there is no one there. She asks the nurse where that patient is, and she tells her that they have been shifted to the ICU. Trishna goes into the ICU, and sees a woman with long hair lying with her face away from Trishna. Trishna is about to see who it is when a woman comes in and screams at Trishna to stay away. She asks, "What are you doing with my husband?" Trishna looks at the body, and realises that it is a man with long hair😆😆😆 The woman is still screaming, and Trishna tells her to shut up - I am not going to rape your husband😆😆😆. She asks where Janki Devi is, but the woman has no clue what she is talking about. Trishna leaves.
In another room, we see the same nurse who told Trishna where the donor was, and the woman whose "husband" was in danger of physical violence courtesy Trashna 😆 and she and the doc (same doc) are being paid a healthy sum of cash. Doc says "Do not worry, your operatoion will take place in two hours". The camera turns and we see our beloved Janki smiling, satisfied with her work😳
Comments:
Shruti - I know I am probably a little more biased than most, because I love Tina to bits, and have a love/hate relationship with Shruti, but I have to say, I loved her today!! For the first time since the leap, I saw some of the old Shruti back - she may not have made a proper apology to Gunn or her mum, but at least she took a step towards it. I'm hoping that the bitterness between her and Gunn (all on Shruti's side, of course!) is soon melted away.
Kamal - I love this man, and thank God he knows the truth - now he can subtly help Janki w/o her realising that it is him. And we can finally see a more lively Kamal coming back😳
Tanu - she acted really well today, even though most of her dialogues to Shruti were juvenile (I guess that was the point) and bored me. One thing I have noticed is that she is exactly like her mother - Shruti, that is. Stubborn and not afraid to speak her mind. (Though I wonder whether Shruti would have refused to donate a kidney if Paro asked her, at THAT age...she did marry Sameer (first time around) simply because Anjana begged her to).
Pranay - I'm so sorry to Pranay fans, but when will this guy get some emotion? I couldn't believe that he's supposed to be Shruti's son - he doesn't look, act or "feel" like her son. There is no mother-son chem, there is not reaction on the guy's face. Just watch the scene when he is having a "heart-to-heart" (pun intended😆😆😆) with his "mother", and you will know what I mean...
Rating: Even though there was no Paro today, the ep was not boring. For Shruti, Kamal, Tanu and Trashna - 8/10😉
