It was a pleasant evening and nothing could be more wonderful than attending a party at the Ghai mansion. The Ghai mansion was beautifully decorated in exuberant colors ready to hit the evening.
The Ghai's were famous for throwing amazing parties in the town. But today there was something special about the party. The Singhniya's had arrived for whom the Ghai's were waiting. Both the Singhniya's and Ghai's were the best of friends and business partners. Rajeev Ghai and Ranvijay Singhniya sharing enjoyable talks while the ladies were indulged in their own talks.
The atmosphere was very optimistic and cheerful. Everyone was indulged in a conversation with one or the other person except for two people. They were none other than Reyansh Singhnaiya and Kriya Ghai; the sole heirs of the Singhniya's and Ghai's respectively. Both of them knew each other since their high school and share a love-hate relationship.
Rey kept intently staring at her while sipping his wine. His gaze made her uncomfortable. Her eyes hovered all around but at last stopped at him. No matter how much she tried her eyes refused to stop admiring him. He looked like a charming prince in that black tuxedo of his. Rey's eyes literally were checking her out from head to toe. She looked like a princess draped in that one shoulder blue gown. His eyes were piercing through her dress of her skin. Her cheeks automatically flushed. Kriya walked away from her place so that she could avoid him.
Rajeev got onto the stage and drove everyone's attention towards him.
"Ladies and gentlemen, May I have your attention please. I hope all of you are having a wonderful time. I have an important announcement to make. Ranvijay and I decided to turn our friendship into a family relationship. We've decided to get our children married."
This was a big blow for Kriya. Rey didn't seem much affected as though he knew about this.
"Kriya and Rey please come over here" Ranvijay said.
Taking small steps Kriya walked towards the stage trying to absorb this news. Rey offered his hand whiling climbing up. She accepted it because everyone's eyes were present on them.
"Dad why didn't you ask me about it?" Kriya pulled her dad aside and asked him.
"I thought you wanted it. You and Rey love each other right?"
"Who told you?"
"Rey"
This was another shock for Kriya. She couldn't believe that Rey told all this.
"I'll be back" Kriya said and left.
Kriya was lost in her own thoughts. Her mind wandered back to the events that took place a year and half back.
Kriya and Rey studied in St.Louis College. Though their parents were best friends they weren't. They had their own gang of friends and due to some mutual friends they interacted with each other. Rey was quite popular among girls. Somewhere in his heart he had a soft corner for Kriya but always ignored his thought.
Rey was dating Smita, Kriya's best friend. One day, Rey and his friends were hanging out in a club where Kriya and her friends were also hanging out. One of Rey's friend Nihaal was completely drunk and was eyeing Kriya with lust.
"Dude, control. You're forgetting that she's my dad's best friend's daughter which indirectly relates me to her." Rey said.
"Rey I've a challenge for you. You're the hunk of the college. So let's see if you can double date." Nihaal said.
"What do you mean?"
"It's pretty simple. Let's see if you can date Kriya for a month. After all she's a tough net to crack. "
Rey stayed quiet for a while. "Kyu Rey, tumne haar maan li?" His other friend mocked at him.
"Reyansh Singhniya never loses. Challenge accepted.
Rey got up and walked towards Kriya. "May I have the pleasure of dancing with you?" Rey forwarded his hand and asked Kriya. Kriya was surprised at this action of his. "Umm sure."
They were dancing very comfortably. Fortunately Smita wasn't present there. While dancing they conversed a lot and got to know much about the other.
Days passed by and Kriya and Rey turned into very good friends. Smita felt quite odd on seeing her boy friend and best friend getting close. Rey forgot that he was dating Smita and was completely busy in trying to impress Kriya. Kriya felt a strong thread binding her towards him. Whenever he complimented her or even touched her, her blood would gush up to her cheeks turning them crimson. She would become conscious around him. Kriya didn't know that he was dating her bestie. As days passed by she couldn't help but fall for him.
Kriya and Rey were walking on the sea shore with silence prevailing them. Suddenly Rey stopped and came in front of her. Kriya looked at him with puzzled eyes.
"Kriya, it's been more than a month we've become very good friends. My day starts with you and ends with you. You're the only person about whom I keep thinking all day long. I don't know how and when but all I know is that I love you Kriya."
Kriya was surprised. In a moment Kriya hugged him tight. I love you too Rey."
Kriya wanted to share this news with her best friend Smita, but she had gone out of station with her parents for a week. In that week Kriya and Rey had become like inseparable souls. One of their associates informed Smita about Kriya and Rey's relation. This angered Smita to the core. She hurriedly returned back to Mumbai. Luckily for Smita, she found Kriya in the atrium. At once she barged towards. Clutching Kriya's hand viciously, she turned her around.
"How dare you Kriya?"
"Smita, what's wrong?"
"What's wrong? You are wrong."
"Smita, what happened? Tum mujh par itna chilla kyu rahi ho?"
"Tum jaisi b****h deserves this. Mein 1 week ke liye bahar kya gayi you stole my boy friend. How could you?"
"Your boy friend??" Kriya asked in disbelief.
"Yes, Reyansh Singhniya is my boyfriend."
"This can't happen. He loves me."
"Yeah he surely would love you agar tum apne cheap tactics use karogi toh."
"No, he loves me really. And I had no idea about you both being in a relationship." Kriya said while trying to stop her tears. No matter how rich her status is and how modern she is, at the end she is a simple girl by heart.
"Love? Are you kidding me? Dude he's Reyansh! Every next day he falls in love with a girl and you are no different. Oh wait, you seriously fell for him? Poor you girl!"
Smita was right, he was a flirt and how could she fall for him. Right now she was the biggest joke of the college. Everyone including her best friend was making fun of her. Unable to control her tears any longer she rushed away from there. Rey who was passing through the corridor saw Kriya running away wiping her tears. His heart ached to see her in such a condition. He tried to stop her but of no use, she just vanished from there.
On enquiring from his friends he got to know about the fiasco that took place in the atrium. He cursed himself.
"But dude, really tune prove kar diya that koi bhi ladki Reyansh singhniya ke charm se nahi bach sakti." Nihaal said.
Rey just faked a smile. How was he supposed to tell them that he truly loved her?
"Yeah dude, poor Kriya, she really fell for you. I feel sad for her. Little does she know that it was all a bet." The other guy said. At this moment they heard a strange sound. On turning back they found that it was Kriya, who leaned against the door, with tears streaming down her face. Due to her leaning, the door banged against the wall.
"Kriya, I can explain..." Rey started but on seeing her showing her hand he stopped.
"Don't you dare say a word more Reyansh. What did I do to you that you broke my heart into tons of pieces?"
"Kriya it's not what you're thinking let me explain."
"Oh wow, rather than being ashamed and guilty you have the guts to explain. Unbelievable, I haven't seen such a disgusting creature more than you." Saying this, she turned to leave.
"And yeah, it's a payback time" She halted for a second and said.
After she left, Rey banged his fist into the wall.
"Rey what's wrong?" His friend asked.
"Dude, I really love her."
A week passed by since that incident occurred. Kriya avoid Rey always and also things between Smita and Kriya changed. They were no longer best friends. Kriya turned in to a serious girl. All she did was just concentrate on her studies. Exams were drawing near and she had to top plus take revenge from Rey. All of them were assembled in the atrium for some announcement. Soon after the principle finished announcing and the students started to disperse, Rey caught Kriya and made her stop.
"Ab kya chahiye tumhe?" Kriya asked.
"Kriya, I just wanted to ask for forgiveness."
"I don't want to talk to you??" Kriya said. Everyone's attention was on them.
"Kriya just listen to me once."
"I said I don't want to talk to you nor see your face." She shouted.
"Kriya just for once." Saying this Rey went closer to her and caught her shoulders trying to make her look towards him. Kriya tried to push him away but he was stubborn. In her frustration she slapped him hard. Everyone was shocked.
"You deserve this. A b*****d like you deserves only this." Saying this Kriya ran away from there.
After she cooled down herself, she thought nothing could be better insult for him. This new spread like fire. People even clicked pictures and videos of it and passed on to the others. Reyansh Singhniya was the current hot gossip for the while. After that incident never did once they tried to contact each other. Though they loved each other, they didn't show it off. Even in their family meetings they would just pretend in front of others.
Kriya didn't know where she was heeding to. While she was walking, she felt someone one grabbing her arm and getting inside the room. She knew who it was. Even in the darks she could identify his presence. He trapped her between the wall and his body. His hands were resting on the either sides of her head.
"Rey let me go" Kriya said in a stern voice
"Nope...not so soon." He said hoarsely.
He lifted his hand and pinned her stands of hair behind her ears. They were so close to each other. Kriya struggled to get out of his grip. But the more she tried the more closer they became.
"What do you want?"
"You"
Her eyes shot wide.
"Wh...What do you mean?"
"I want you honey, just the way you want me."
"What nonsense? Let me go now."
"And if I deny doing so?"
"Reyansh I'm warning you..." Kriya somehow managed to take the pencil present on the table beside. She tried to hit him hard with it hoping that he would care for his arm and leave her. But she also knew it was a worst attempt on her part. He grabbed the pencil out of her hands and threw it away.
"You look sexy with this flared nose of yours."
"Reyansh I said leave me."
"Sure baby." Saying this, he picked her up in his arms and placed her beside the bed. Terror struck across Kriya's face.
Rey went and locked the door and placed the key in his pants pocket. Kriya was confused what was he up to?
"You want to get out the room right?" She just nodded a yes.
"You can go out the room if you succeeded to take the key from my pocket, without getting affected by me." Kriya's jaws dropped down. She understood what was coming her way. She saw him removing his coat and placing it on the bed. Slowly unbuttoning his shirt, he moved towards her. Her body alarmed. In an instant he removed is shirt and threw it away. He was so close to her. She was having a hard time controlling her desires. Her eyes were stuck at one place and that was his masculine body. He had a well built body. Had there been any other girl except her then she would have literally pushed him against the wall and would just complete her desires.
He traced his finger from her forehead to her nose. Kriya was breathing in short breaths. His finger trailed down towards her lips and stopped at her bottom lips. He rubbed her lower lip with his thumb and let it stay there. Kriya had her eyes closed.
"Don't you want it?" He purred in her ears.
"Huh?" She asked staring at him confused.
"The key." It then struck her that she was supposed to get the key from him.
With her quivering hands she reached for his pocket. He didn't object. All he kept doing was staring at her intently. Before she could actually take the key he pulled her towards her. Her hands landed on his chest while she tried to register what happened. She could see a playful beam on his face.
"Kya huya honey?" He asked going extremely close to her. His lips were just a tiny inch away. He leaned more forward and licked hr lower lip. He was seducing her to every extent possible.
"Rey stop" She hissed.
Without paying any heed to her, he bent down and kissed her on her shoulder. He sucked over the place where he bit her.
"I love you Kri?" He whispered while kissing the corner of her lips.
This brought Kriya to the reality and she opened her yes.
"Jhoot. You can't love me or anyone else." She said.
"I really love you Kriya. I always have been crazily in love with you. I know I shouldn't have agreed to that bet but when my friends challenged me regarding that I was actually happy because I always had a soft corner for you."
"You are saying the truth right?"
"Of course I am. Look into my eyes and see what you find." Like he said, she looked in to his eyes anf found only love for her.
"I missed you" Kriya said hugging him tight while letting out her tears.
"Shh!"
"By the way, even I'm sorry"
"Why?"
"Uh, vo...For slapping you"
"Nah! I deserved it."
Kriya looked into his eyes and said "I love you Rey."
Rey leaned in and again pecked her lips making her groan in frustration.
"Uhh...kiss me dammit!"
On sensing him chuckle, she slid her hands from his chest to his nape grabbing his hair in her fist and pulled him closer. In an instant she wildly seized his lips. He smiled at his sexy tigress and joined in that fervent kiss.
