I don't think Sooraj Pascholi has admitted anywhere that he had beaten up Jiya. It is the media which is speculating. Unless and until it is proven / admitted in a court of law that he had indeed physically abused Jiah, everything is just heresay.

While definitely, a dead woman's character should not be slandered, at the same time, no one should be indicted of a crime they did not even commit in the first place.
Its natural to be sympathetic to someone who is dead and scorn the living...but one should always look at facts and not be unfair or unjust to anyone due to emotions.

Those letters had to be released to the police, even if they weren't released to the public. Based on the letters and the assumption that Suraj was emotionally abusing (and probably physically too) her, the police arrested him. But I agree, no direct involvement has been discovered and this arrest was made to pacify the public and the mother, and also to put up a facade of look-we're-doing-something.

what a pathetic write up.

I agree people no more have morals when they use media, but this is disgusting.🤢
